Synopsis

Substitute Soul Reaper Ichigo Kurosaki spends his days fighting against Hollows, dangerous evil spirits that threaten Karakura Town. Ichigo carries out his quest with his closest allies: Orihime Inoue, his childhood friend with a talent for healing; Yasutora Sado, his high school classmate with superhuman strength; and Uryuu Ishida, Ichigo's Quincy rival.

Ichigo's vigilante routine is disrupted by the sudden appearance of Asguiaro Ebern, a dangerous Arrancar who heralds the return of Yhwach, an ancient Quincy king. Yhwach seeks to reignite the historic blood feud between Soul Reaper and Quincy, and he sets his sights on erasing both the human world and the Soul Society for good.

Yhwach launches a two-pronged invasion into both the Soul Society and Hueco Mundo, the home of Hollows and Arrancar. In retaliation, Ichigo and his friends must fight alongside old allies and enemies alike to end Yhwach's campaign of carnage before the world itself comes to an end.

I watched Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War without knowing anything about Bleach, aside from reading maybe the first 10 volumes of the manga about 10 years ago, and I gave it a 9 at first. The action, animation, and OST are all top-notch. It's easy to appreciate this anime without knowing what an Arrancar or a Bankai is, but then I went back and read all of bleach from the beginning, just to see what exactly it was that I just watched. Mixed Feelings

"Bleach" was unlucky to come out when there are many alternative Shounen that are all like two identical drops of water.

There are a lot of interesting characters in Bleach, funny dramatic ones, the characters die there, it's still frankly a teenage title, but he has iron balls in terms of acting dramaturgy... but this is mainstream, now all shounen will look like this.

I read manga as a teenager and I'm glad the anime came out, but I'm honest with you there's nothing special about it.

The color design is so dogshit. The attempts to make the lighting and coloring realistic may work on other shows but in Bleach it doesn't. The old charm and colorful vibrant design of Bleach is lost and so is the style. The style was the strong point of Bleach and if that is lost then people will just see it as a generic shonen which it is currently. The color design in the 2021 reveal trailer was perfect. Too bad they changed it to something so dogshit.

Also, the writing is abhorrent. They promised to add more things but the added content (which is barely anything) ...
