Synopsis

Fire Fire Fire is a lighthearted throwback to the classic shounen series of the '80s and '90s.

Jiga Kirishima lives in a time where the only sky the people know is the color gray and most of the world is wasteland and ruins, with a few people in power depriving resources from the disorganized weak and poor majority. With his father's sword, Jiga makes friends and enemies and goes on adventures while searching for others who share his bloodline.

Jiga's sword happens to be made of a rare material which a powerful organization known as Lost Eagle Nest claims to want in order to rebuild the world, but is that what they really want it for? They'll stop at nothing to take it from him, and Jiga and his friends now have a price on their heads.

Mixed Feelings
Fire Fire Fire is a throwback to simpler times.

Tired of reading stories that leave your heart in shambles, your brain fried from trying to discern between the various shades of grey, and confused by hidden meanings behind seemingly regular events? You'll have none of those conflicts keeping you up at night here!

Fire Fire Fire is a nice breather read, and it's advantage is being very simple. The protagonist's personality is very generic, the plot is linear, and it feels quite cheesy. The ending also doesn't wrap anything up. But, nonetheless its decent and in my opinion; worth the read.

Mixed Feelings
tl;dr: A series with a random plot, a weak main cast, terrible villains, but really good art.

I will preface this by saying that although I get that this is supposed to be a throwback to classic shounen in the 80s and 90s, I haven’t really read many manga like this, so the nostalgia factor isn’t really doing anything for me. From that point of view, I found this to be a mess. There are interesting concepts to the world, but the story is really haphazard in that it’s not clear what direction the story is going in at all or what they’re really trying to ...
