Greed Island is the second of 3 Hunter x Hunter OVAs. It chronicles Gon\'s search for his father, Jin/Ging Freecs. The only clue Gon has is the Greed Island game disc which is father left for him. Unfortunately he needs a special \"Joystation\" to play the game - and the Greed Island game is expensive (think $ Billions). Gon and Killua attempt to purchase the Greed Island game at auction. I started by watching the new adaptation of HxH and then went back to watch all the old adaptations, and I'm really glad I did. Jan 27, 2021 A respectable and enjoyable ova for the most part. This ova takes place after the end of the old version of Hunter x Hunter. They skipped some of the parts from the Yorknew city arc and also the pacing was a bit worse in this arc. The animation definelty improved but this lighter color scheme was kind of hurting my eyes but overall the art somewhat improved compared to the series. The sound was very good and it had that tone and vibe from the original series. The characters were pretty much the same and we didn't really get any new introductions on big screentime ... |
