Both are anime based on manga published by Shounen Jump. They have a lot of action and an interesting power system. Fights are usually won through strategy and planning, instead of raw strength. 

Both series deal with fight where it's not the strongest that win but the one who end up in finding a weakness in the other's capacities and use their knowledge to win. Moreover, in both animes, the characters can have really unique powers but used in clever ways. If you're fan of Jojo or Hunter x Hunter, you will be more likely to love the other show as it is said that Togashi, creator of Hunter x Hunter, was deeply inspired in his work by Jojo's Bizarre Aventure and vice-versa.

JJBA and HxH are similar in a lot of ways. -Both are critically acclaimed and highly influential. -Both are shounen that get especially dark and gory. -Battles between characters are won with strategy rather than pure strength. -Because of this, every battle is fresh and unique. -Both have well-written and interesting villains. -Both are endlessly creative, imaginative and adventurous series that do what they do extremely well. 

Both have the same kind of narrator, a gigantic roster of amazing characters with unique personalities and abilities and the strategies in the battles. 

Both have clever fights with lots of strategy and characters with crazy powers 

Fun, insane universe filled with action, humor, drama, and outrageous characters and original fighting styles 

If you loved the campy nature of characters such as Hisoka, then JoJo’s is a must watch. The protagonists of the JoJo’s story are various members of the Joestar bloodline, with each more outlandish than the last, sporting eccentric designs and wildly varying personalities, and although the over-the-top-ness of it all might seem weird at first, after a few episodes it can become hard not to be sucked in by. Specifically, from the second season of JoJo’s onwards, the characters begin to sport a wide array of seemingly random powers, in the form of stands, which although might seem somewhat useless at times, when used under the right conditions can become lethal, I see this as much the same as how different characters nen abilities are used in HxH, as often smarts and certain requirements are used over brute strength to win fights, which I believe creates a lot more tension in doing so.   

They aren't exactly the same, yet they share a lot that makes me love both series. They have a great battle system, both stands and Nen share limits and strenghts that are balanced and intriging. That keeps the battles interestning and makes sure that no charecter gets a sudden power boost for no reason whatsoever. They both have changes in their individuel arcs that, keeps the series fresh and exiting. Won't go to details to avoid spoilers. And Both series are MY favorite shoenens of all time. Guys with strong muscles and strong willpower. Charismatic villains. Characters gain supernatural powers by hard trainings. Not just bland fights but also brainstorming and outsmarting the enemy 

Both Anime are just great in it self. They both have really Intresting Power Systems.  

Phantom blood is an interesting vampire story where you follow a heroic protagonist called Jonathan as he must learn and grow stronger in order to defeat the enemy that endangers the people closest to Jonathan. In the latter half of the first season you follow Jonathan's grandson Joseph Joestar a mischievous protagonist who uses his street smarts to get him through fights so he can stop the undefeated pillarmen. He befriends multiple people along the way to help him out from America to Germany to Italy. The second season of the show Stardust Crusaders is when the HxH really kick as the group of friends must travel across the whole world to defeat an old foe with a new unknown ability.  

Both anime are newer adaptations of their highly acclaimed 90s manga. They both have great production values, artstyles, and soundtracks. Both have an interesting cast of characters with diverse personalities. They both feature unorthodox yet engaging storytelling styles, and the storytelling styles seem to be very similar in the way they utilize general knowledge. If you love one you'll love the other. 

Similar type of powe system yet the abilities are very unique and well used, both shows are fresh and don't have a cliche story 

Both have amazing power systems, both have amazing stories and characters, and both have fights where the characters fight with strategy rather than brute strength. 

Similar to the nen in Hunter x Hunter, the main weapon for fighting in JoJo part 1 and part 2 is hamon, which is a manifestation of the sun's energy. Controlled by the users breathing, nen and hamon share very similar qualities as they are not physical objects, but manifestations of something. Apart from sharing alike fighting techniques, JoJo is one of the best anime I have ever watched! From the meme references to the character development, it possesses all the properties of an amazing show.  

Hunters are aptly-named bounty hunters and explorers who search hidden ruins for lost treasures, while occasionally risking their lives to hunt down and capture dangerous criminals. With idealistic dreams for the future, youngster Gon Freecss dreams of becoming one of the world’s greatest hunters, not only for the glory but in the hopes of finding his absentee father, who was a former hunter himself. In order to achieve his dreams, Gon must pass the feared “Hunters Examination,” a challenge known for its low chance of success, where failure costs aspiring Hunters their very lives. Along the way to undertake the exam, Gon finds himself up against horrible monsters, nefarious villains, and circumstances beyond his control. With the help of his companions, he just might learn what it takes to become a true Hunter and increase his chances of surviving insurmountable odds. Hunter x Hunter (2011) is a complete reboot of Yoshihiro Togashi’s hit series, Hunter x Hunter, similar to the latest iteration of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. Much like the latter series, it is an action-adventure series that sees its protagonist up against almost insurmountable odds, with a hefty dose of otherworldly powers to give action scenes an even more engaging edge. With a memorable cast of supporting characters, and a rather inspirational message at its heart, Hunter x Hunter is a series fans of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure should not miss.  

it just reminds me of it a lot 

Great action scenes in every episode featuring: -Rapid punches and kicks. -Gory violence. -Theme songs that get you really hyped up. -Osamu Dezaki-style pastel/pencil freeze frames. Plot-wise: -Noble protagonists who care for the helpless and those weaker than him -Sadistic antagonists who used to be comrades/friends with the protagonist. -Both go in depth with the side-characters and make them likeable. 

Both have the same manly/badass hotblooded shounen vibe to them, and both are based off manga from the late 70s-80s. Hokuto no Ken has a more diverse cast of characters, because this is only 1/8th of the JoJo's Bizarre adventure series which is still ongoing. Well it's 1/4th of the series if we continue on to battle tendancy and make this a two cour anime adaptation... which would probably make those of us who've been into the series for over a decade such as myself jizz. 

-Both series have a good amount of fighting -Both series have a male main protagonist (except for part 6) -Both series have been around since the 1980's -Both series tend to be very over-the-top (HnK in it's depiction of violence, JJBA in a lot of the concepts presents, such as the ripple/stands) 

Both anime have muscular, justice giving protagonists, blonde, charismatic villains, and high quality martial arts action. Their settings are different and were produced in two completely different eras, but they do have similar roots. Hokuto no Ken and Jojo are both manga series from the 80's and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure was influenced by Hokuto no Ken. Any self- respecting martial arts fan has to watch both because they are both amazingly fun to watch. 

Both are MANIME with buff men and lots of punching. Be warned, you WILL grow a beard after watching them.  

If you come from Fist of the North Star and are looking to get into JoJo, you will very likely feel right at home and should load it up to give it a try. If you enjoyed JoJo's more recent anime adaptations for the first 3 parts (Phantom Blood, Battle Tendency, Stardust Crusaders) you will almost without a doubt enjoy Fist of the North Star. Both the "Fist of the North Star" and the "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" series are perfect examples of what one would define as a "manime." They are both originally old school 1980's shounens that go hand in hand. They each feature huge muscles, heavily overblown dialogue with deep manly voices, explosive sound effects, and testosterone pumping fight scenes that you can't take your eyes off of. The combat in the fighting scenes of Fist of the North Star is closer to that of JoJo's earlier parts like Phantom Blood, and both usually have some level of narration during the fight scenes, whether it be a bystander or the narrator himself. The overall aesthetic of Fist of the North Star is more similar to that of Stardust Crusaders. More specifically, If you liked the overall look with the colors and character designs in Fist of the North Star, watching Stardust Crusaders should feel especially familiar upon checking it out. If you like one, you HAVE to check out the other. If you don't, you are doing yourself a disservice by missing out on some high quality, dope-ass manime.   

Hokuto no Ken was one of the main inspirations that made Hirohiko Araki write JoJo, that's why both series share a lot of similarities.Both series feature characters with very masculine builds and designs, with Jonathon and Dio having designs heavily inspired by Kenshiro and Shin respectively. Both series are also infamous for having numerous gory scenes on a level not seen in modern Shonen, and are less heavy on providing Shonen tropes than most other series 

-Both series are manly -Araki took inspiration from Hokuto no Ken -Both series are good 

Both action shows feature burly, manly men fighing against equally buff villains. Both also are quite cheesy (in a good way) and have a penchant for overdramatizing, though Jojo is fairly stylish as well. While I liked Jojo more than Hokuto no Ken I think fans of one will definitely like the other. 

Both have the same style of characters, fighting, and overdramatic dialogs. They also portray friends & enemies in a similar way. 

Jonathan is clearly based on Kenshiro. Hamon works on vampires like Hokuto Shin Ken works on regular people, they both got marks on their bodies that's directly connected to their destiny, they're both famous for their rapid-fire punches. Jonathan, Joseph, and Jotaro's uncanny resemblance to the manliest man of anime. Essentially, it's become very clear to me that everything about Dio was based off Shin, at least during Phantom Blood and with Araki's own twist on it. 

Really similar art style, Similar powers. Oh and i forgot! totally badass characters :P 

If you love JoJo, then you're gonna love this. Both animes having buff dudes, MCs with similar designs and sense of justice, and mostly, a metric ton of punches.

Both got unique art-style and mind-blowing tricks, extremely manly shows. 

The narration (and his explanations). The over the top animation. The calculated battles of the struggling, but determined protagonist(s) against opponents that completely overpower them. While JoJo is more of a straight up physical fighting anime, there is an undiluted focus on strategy and mind games, much like Kaiji. 

Incredibly bombastic, witty, depressing, violent, and absolutely testosterone fueled anime. Very loyal adaptations of older manga, as such they use similar use of manga sfx and reactions. Both have an art style that differs greatly from the traditional norm of anime, JoJo's with muscly action heroes and Kaiji with grotesque exaggerated facial features, may take time to get used to, but is absolutely worth it. The second part of JoJo's (eps 10-26), has the most similarities with Kaiji, as the main characters devise genius plans on the fly, although often appearing unintelligent. It is almost impossible to find a good stopping point in these, as episodes always leave you on the edge of your seat.   

Both are manly and over the top shows, featuring protagonists who come up with complicated and mind-blowing tricks and strategies to defeat their opponents. While their overall plots are different, both anime have a similar atmosphere and manly tears. 

Same feeling of GAR, flying onomatopoeia and excessive style. Kaiji is basically like Jojo, but with games, while Jojo is more fighting-oriented. 

They're a different genre yet they're pretty similar, and all jojo fans i know like kaiji. Bizarre, exaggerated expresions from the characters, MANLY, mind games about outsmarting your enemy like in jojo, etc etc, you get the point.  

B I Z A R R E 

Both shows somehow mixes human drama with absurd humor that you can't tell if it's intentional or is really that stupid. 

If you searched for an anime that shares many characteristics with JoJos Bizarre Adventure, you should definitely check this one out. Both anime have a very similar way to show off the exaggerated expressions and emotions from the characters. They also explain very well in detail what exactly is going on right now, so the viewer gets a good impression of the situation.  

Mind games, it's all about mind games and outsmarting your opponent (well, when JoJo gets into part2 that is). Altough Kaiji is lot more serious and "real", both series are strangely in tone with each other. Both are probably my favorite anime of all time. 

If you want to see how one can outwit others then these anime are for you 

The same Art-style Muscle Men Martial Arts Dark themed anime Blood and Violence Similar to JOJO which has a lot of still-shots and unique color pallets. 

-Strategic and brutal fights that are incredibly unexpected -All their characters have sooooo much muscles -A rare fight honor 

both are really good fighting anime that go crazy and they both have big buff men beating each other up  

Both prominently feature well crafted adrenaline rushing fight scenes. Both have a distinct art style with their own stylistic endeavor. Both have authors that have a bizarre infatuation with real life and can get inspiration from literally fucking anything. 

Overly masculine men destroying each other with fists of fury and special techniques. The character designs are also somewhat similar, and the overall hype you feel during the fights is the same. JoJo's does have more story elements than Baki though, so if you're looking for Baki, but with more story and over the top characters, look no further than JoJo's. 

both series have strong muscular men fighting in batshit insane yet hilariously creative ways. Revelling in the inherent silliness of their story/fights to create a real entertaining time

Both are some of the funniest shows I have ever watched and they are also some of the most manly out there 

Cenas de lutas épicas, doido pra caralho e muitos homens musculosos 

Both mainstream and have other 'life' forms protecting their users. 

They are both about some sort of creature (Titans and Zombies) ruled or somewhat controlled by an advanced version of those creatures (Dio and The Female Titan/The Colossal Titan). It also has great characters. 

Both are great action animes and both are a must watch/classic for anime fans. 

Directed by the same individual, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is a wacky, thrilling, bloody Shounen/Seinen with a surprisingly strong resemblance to Attack on Titan. You may be hesitant to dive into this unrealistic mess, but let me tell you. This is similar to Attack on Titan. This is harsh. Characters die. People suck. Cruel world with a tragic story. If you like Attack on Titan, you will likely enjoy JoJo's Bizarre Adventure as well. 

JoJo is really good for any anime watcher but AoT fans I think will have a blast watching it because of how crazy it is. I mean if you like AoT I think you like chaos. 

Both mc are kind-hearted, uses magic breathing to kill man-eating, sun allergic monsters, have a sibling who becomes a monster.  

- Both have antagonists that's afraid of the sun - Both have a kind protagonists - The protagonists both have a best friend that is blonde. In short, Kimetsu no Yaiba is a JoJo Reference.  

Both have a gentle protagonist that take their trip for a revenge of their family, they sibbling got transformed into monsters, and both learn with and old man about the power system that works with breathing 

Both animes have a good hearted protagonist that use the power of the sun to defeat man eating demon/vampires 

Kimestu no Yaiba Was inspired by JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken and some other anime as well, both the main characters also use breathing techniques and fight demons, I highly recommend it if you like JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken 

What if I'm so manly that I drill open the sky? Purposely done over-the-top shounen series with positive outlook on the general flaws of humanity when they are fighting supposedly ten times as powerful alien monsters. Supernatural characters who start out as weaklings constrained by their naiveness, and though Jojo develops its characters through generational heritages, both display a trending possession of glorified characters. Mostly fluid action scenes. TTGL is more mecha, whilst Jojo goes back to the '80s battle shounen genre. Overall, vastly epic action scenes and great music. Both are highly potential, likable butlers for macho men with interests in manly looking characters containing a thoroughly explored plot about humans vs. aliens/superior beings.  

They aren't technically similar, but involve a lot of the same over the top shit that makes them great. Lot's of shouting, action that doesn't make any sense but you love to see it 

Both are incredibly over the top and manly action series that throw logic out the window at every given opportunity in exchange for sheer awesomeness! 

Hamon energy is essentially Spiral energy. The main characters overcome unbelievable odds with sheer force, will power, and their hidden power within. Both shows will make you lose your mind and keep you on the edge of your chair trying to guess what happens next. 

Both are completely over the top shounen in almost every aspect. Crazy fights, world, characters and music abound. If you want a show that can and will do everything these are for you. 

There are so many very weird and very interesting characters in both 

Golden Kamuy and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure are both shows about manly men doing manly things and they take place in the late 19th and early 20th century. While Jojo and Golden Kamuy are mostly serious stories the two contain hilarious and goofy scenes. Finally the characters are also very similar. The protagonist(s) of each show (Jonathan and Joseph for Jojo and Sugimoto for GK) are clever strategists and like I said previously are very manly. And as for the antagonist, Tsurumi and DIO, they are both purely evil entities that are detestable in every way and that fact kind of makes them interesting.  

(English is not my native language) Golden Kamuy is very similar to Jojo. I`ll explain you why. First, Sugimoto (The Maincharacter of Golden Kamuy) is basically Jotaro from Jojo Part 3. He also does his pose on the cover of the first season. Both shows have a similar humour, and contain many jokes. Also, their stories are almost the same. MC and friends defeat many different enemies to find the main villain. (Ik, many shonen anime are like this but Jojo and Golden Kamuy really stand out of most of them). Golden Kamuy is a must for every dojo fan. 

They have both smiliar humor snd characters so watch both. 

Both shows have vampires, and outsandings visuals. You can found comedy in both and they are extremely enjoyable, not a single second is boring. 

Both have similar extremely over the top characters and action scenes. The art style, setting and even the speeches feel like a shared universe.

JoJo and Gintama are really similar, they're both over-the-top action series, they both incorporate a lot of humor, they both produce an IMMENSE amount of memes with goofy moments and likable characters, but at the same time, they both have spine-tingling and dark moments. 

I feel like both of those shows (counting in all of JoJo) require the viewer to fully embrace the uniqueness and weirdness of them. Both shows are special and definitely different from what many might watch from current mainstream anime but if you love one of them, I think chances are good that you’ll enjoy the other one too. 

Made by the same author. Features interesting character design, over powered MC and some posing. 

Same author. Overdose of masculinity. Getting super powers from some manipulations with human body. Also there are Araki's distinctive scenes of animals' torture lol.

This comparison applies to all seasons of JoJo and Stray Dogs. One of the main similarities that I noticed between two series is that their characters and the powers of these characters are based off of real people or groups and their works. JoJo names their characters and stands with well known bands and musical artists. JoJo also uses song names to name stand powers as well. Stray Dogs names their characters off of well known authors or writers. Their powers are named based off of the titles of some books they wrote. These shows are on point with their references and if your the kind who likes this sort of thing then you could enjoy these shows.   

JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken (TV) and Bungou Stray Dogs are very different anime series, but they both have one thing in common: name references. JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken (TV) references music, while Bungou Stray Dogs references literature. If these sorts of naming conventions interest you, check out both of these anime. 

They both literally have the concept of otherworldly abilitied tied to gifted people, that can both be impairing to the user or 'good' to them. Or neither. Also a back and forth between humor and seriousness, although JJBA is mostly humor and weird shenanigans. 

Oreshura has JOJO references in it, so its a great way to link what the characters are talking about so people can understand what JOJO is about. an its an easy way for people that Finished all 4 Parts + OVAs to say "is that a JOJO Reference??? an make a meme out of it lo. an the shows alright i guess. 

Only watch Oreshura if you watched/read JoJo, otherwise you probably won't enjoy it as much. Though with that said, its still better than most generic rom-coms on its own.  

This anime is full of Jojo references. The main heroine makes Jojo poses, talks about Jojo and there are very funny scenes where they talk about Jojo. As a story, they have nothing similar, but if you want to see an anime where they directly mention Jojo (and many times), then you should watch this.  

If you take out part 1 and watch part 2, maybe you can find similarities, Hilarious and ridiculous asspulls, Very likeable characters, a plot that goes out of nowhere/Weak but very enjoyable,Both are 10 if you don't take this seriously 

If you love battles with intelligent ways of being resolved like in code geass, I clearly recommend to give a try on JOJO specially 2 part and above 

It's over-the-top madness, Especially the second part of JoJo. Dio and Blade share the same charismatic Voice Actor (Seriously, God bless your voice, Takehito Koyasu). If you liked Needless you will highly likely adore JoJo. There's a lot of Shounen-Parody elements in both of them. 

Needless and JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken (TV) are both weird anime that will make you go “What am I even watching?”. Bizarre action and GAR is to be expected from these two anime. Needless has quite a lot more fanservice, however.  

Pretty much the Fanbases that love each others Anime. Most One Piece fan like JoJo aswell 

Adventures, great villains, fantastic characters' design and fights until the end! That's what these 2 series have in common! It's public knowledge that One Piece is one of the best shonen's ever made, but have you tried Jojo's Bizarre Adventure? Because it's my Top1, I love its art, the relationships between the main characters and the fights! Those might seem simple but I enjoy them a lot, they're a meme ORAORAORA!  

Too many battle scenes. 

OPM and JoJo are some of the most popular anime to date, and are both commonly used as "beginner-friendly anime" in order to introduce and familiarize people with the tropes and workings of your average japanimation. Even if you aren't new to anime, I consider that if you liked one you might want to check on the other as it shows two perspectives of Japanese humour (one is a story from the '80s while the other one is originally a webcomic) that one could help get familiarized with. Similarly, in terms of comedy both have been fairly influential, and thus getting familiar with them as cultural material might be in the interest of some.  

While there are slight differences between these shows, if you enjoyed the intense psychological battles of JoJo part 2, you won't be disappointed with Keijo. Keep in mind that you can't get into it with a serious mind, just embrace what happens.  

these anime may not look similar but these two shows have little diaglouges between two characters when they fight and intense battles that catches your attention very quickly. Keijo clearly was inspired by JoJo's bizzare adventure as keijo have very similar way of approaching fights and scenes from JoJo.  

Both are proper modern adaptations of oldschool mangas, that adapt the whole source material. Both have straightforward story and are quite brutal. 

+Both contain street fighting and similar characters. +Both are masterpieces of this worldly plain. 

Both series are filled with insane yet fun moments and a magic system with each person having unique powers.  

Both mc's are seeking out revenge against the men who killed their fathers. 

They both show a story of where the main protagonist goes against these cursed things and manage to defeat it with honor. They are both really great, and the graphics of one may be a little bit better, but both of them are nice. 

Both have lots of action with some very violent scenes and super powers. but bnha is more of a comedy while jojo has more serious topics. 

Vampire Hunter D is quite similar to the first part of JoJo. Both are gothic horror tales influenced by Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Both anime have powerful vampires, and focus on a main character who is trying to kill them. Also, both anime have a similar tone and mood. 

Both of these anime are adapted from manga written in the late 80's and use many tropes from shounen of that era in an exaggerated and parodying way, which means neither of these anime is to be taken 100% seriously. They also feature a lot of GAR action and violence, and pay homage to several rock and metal bands and singers. 

In each of these two episodes, there's a new fight introducing new techniques. Each character has its own abilities: A stand / or the abilities of a certain animal/insect, unfortunately compared to JoJo, the enemies are not very different, they may have different techniques but they're all cockroaches, but every fights are interesting thanks to the abilities of each character, they can improve with time, the story in both are mysterious like who created the mask/evolved the cockroaches ? Who put the mask here/who put the cockroaches on Mars ? So if you like any of these two animes, you might find the same system and same feeling in both of them.  

The plot is different but the Main Characters (Jojo and Toriko) have similar characteristics and both shows are filled with super buff guys fighting to protect what's important to them. 

Two ugly anime and with bad characters, the difference being that one is purpose; - ;, continuing ... both use of demonic creatures (inferno cop x vampires), both of which will get you ripped several times = D Anyway, they are the worst anime in the world, and the best anime in the world (you choose which). 

Bloody and Violent, lots of fights, unique art-style in JoJo, very influenced on the 80's anime style.. big muscle guy, just as Guts in Berserk. 

Both are newer anime adaptations based on older 80s Shonen Jump manga. Both stories feature hyper-masculine characters with over the top fights. Both Bastard and JoJo can get outrageously bloody out of nowhere to the point where it can get downright silly. Dark Schneider is pretty close to being a protagonist similar to the Joestars or even Dio Brando with his muscles and cocky attitude. Both stories also start out in a dark fantasy setting but slowly evolve over time.
