With harem series we have a few rules:
1: The Main character must be dense
2: The side characters are better than the heroines
3: No romatic conclusion
Nisekoi strikes the nail on the head when it comes to being generic in most aspects.
Like a doctor I will first deliver the good news then the bad news.

The art in Nisekoi was quite beautiful. I love it when an anime is as colorful and liberal (in changing art style) as Nisekoi is. My only issue is that the girls are in constant blush.


Audio was good. Didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. I do like ... Click the OP.


Characters:
Raku- Basic harem MC (dense as a neutron star)
Chitoge- Basic Tsundere
Onodera- Basic suck-up character (like Saukura in Fate/stay night, the Fate and UBW routes)
Onodera's sister- Already forgot her name. Don't care anymore really.
Marie- Not enough screen time and was rushed in at the lend of first season. Is actually pretty cool in a perverted manipulitive manner.
Chitoge's slave- Unnesesary big boobs
That's all I can remember

Story:
Prepare for the bad news.
Nisekoi would have been good if it hadn't tried to force a backstory. You know the one. The one with the locket and stuff. For the uninformed plebs, Nisekoi's backstory goes into how Raku and his playmate from his childhood made a promise to marry. The promise is sealed with a key (literally) as the girl locked a locket with a key and gave it to raku as a means for them to find eachother again. 10 years later he's a teenager in highschool. Like most adolesent males he's thinking about girls. The girl he particularly has his eyes on is Onodera. The two had flirted all through middle school and were preping to do the same in high school. That is, untill transfer student Chitoge slammed her way into his life and due to certain family circumstances they are forced to pretend to date. Then to add even more feul to the fire of potential they both have keys. This raises so many questions: Which key is the right one? Is he going to start to love Chitoge or will his flirtationship with Onodera stop him? Is he going to remain true to his promise he made as a kid or will he move on and date who he loves? The anime slowly feeds these questions with dates with both of the girls and signals that both of the girls like him. Then at a climax the show has Chitoge try the locket to see if she's the girl. The locket breaks leaving the questions the show gives us on hold untill the locket is repaired (which doesn't really happen). This would be no problem to me if the show didn't end the way it did. Instead of bringing he locket back for a great climatic finale that resolves all of the questions invokes upon us the ending features Raku reconciling with Harem Girl A, Chitoge after a fight. This climax has nothing to do with the sideplot whatsoever. Then in the second season the show finally hammers the nail into the coffin by telling us the locket will never be fixed.

Enjoyment:
If it wern't obvoius from the rant above, watching nisekoi was not enjoyable. I would have enjoyed it better if they hadn't included the backstory subplot and just focused on the Romatic Comedy section. Also if they just had all of the girls in the begining intead of adding them every 3-4 episodes that would be great. And every girl doesn't need a key.

Story 4:
It had potential. Two teens from opposing gang families that pretend to fall in love in order to prevent a gang war. However, the male character is actually in love with another girl and has to try to maintain a good relationship with her while going out with his 'girlfriend'. Over time the girl begins developing feelings for the male.

This story would have had potential if the male wasn't denser than a brick and if he would stop getting embarrassed with every little action.

Art 9:
The art is really nice, I actually liked the character designs (Chitoge is very cute). The quality was ... quite consistent and was well lit.

Sound 7:
OP and ED aren't memorable, soundtrack doesn't seem that interesting either. Voice acting is consistent, unfortunately it cannot be graded properly due to the mediocrity of the show.

Character 3:
Weak male that has the density of a brick. The other characters have very little character as the writers simply decided to apply the 'nice', 'tsundere' or 'support' onto them.

Onodera is the nice girl, she's never hits him nor yells at him.
Chitoge and Tsugumi are the tsundere.
Shuu and Ruri are the supports, basically they know everything but since they're supports, can't actually influence anything.

Enjoyment 4:
Chitoge's pretty cute and I actually enjoyed her onscreen time. She was well designed and her voice actor made her even cuter. However, seeing a lack of actual development for the protagonist towards any girls was just really boring.

Overall 4:
Basically a non-nude version of To-Love-Ru. Weak male lead that somehow has a harem of followers through his 'sincerity'.

Nisekoi! is the anime that can be summarized in one word: GENERIC
That's debatable of course, it could also be Clichéd.

It's kinda like the writers/makers had a checklist of Anime Must-Haves and went and ticked them all off. This show is a Harem, a Romantic Comedy, and Slice of Life, The story is simple: Boy has a lock, when he was little he promised a girl to marry her, if she kept the key, and he kept the lock. In his teens his dad insists he dates the Tsundere girl to stop a feud between gangsters and the mafia.

The Episodes:
It's all there: The Onsen, The ... Locked Toghether, The Swimming Pool, The Beach, The Festival, The School Trip, The Birthday, The Sleepover, and of course, the School Play.

The Music:
I forgot what kind of music the Anime has. Yeah thats right, thats how unoriginal it is.

The Characters:
It's a harem, so the girls outnumber boys 3:1.
There's The Tsundere, The Boy/Girl?!, The Nice Girl, The Bride/Fiancée, The Glasses Character, and The Childhood Friend, and they all fawn over the Protagonist boy who is in no way attractive. And there is The Best Friend.

The Story:
It all revolves around his lock, he doesn't remember who he made the promise to, and moreover, he is head over heals with the Nice Girl. But the main focus is on Tsundere, who is a little too convincing in hating the Protagonist, so she is butt annoying. Besides those two girls, the other harem girls come on for one or two episodes before fading to the background.

It's generic to a fault. They half-assed a Romeo & Juliet theme, which is pretty much the most overused theme in romantic history. And the lock? Like every good oldfashioned anime, they keep you dangling to the end... the open end.

Overal Feel:
I laughed, there are some good jokes. Sadly, between jokes I found myself sighing and planting my face to my hand. This anime goes to show that domestic violence is perfectly okay as long as the girl does it. Also, parents care only about their kids future, as long as they marry a good successor to the family business. It's truly a deep and meaningful message. Told in chewed out clichés and overly Generic Anime standards.

This particular anime is getting on my nerve. what type of romantic comedy is this ? the main character always getting bitten by his false girlfriend. one hero and four heroine, i thought it would be fun to watch but what i saw was beyond horrible. let's look at the main characters -

1. Raku belongs to Yakuza family but doesn't have any fighting power, a complete hopeless guy with Amnesia and sympathy for girls.
2. Chitoge, this character is so annoying. have you seen any other anime where a girl in love beat the person she love on a regular basis ?? just how much ... enduring power Raku has ??
3. Kosaki, a girl with 0 will power. no matter how much support she get, there will be no confession for sure. For last 2 years she only said good morning and good bye, that's the only conversation she had with Raku. what is this ? hinata from naruto ??
4. Marika, this girl have some guts. not so disappointing, i'm actually happy to see a character who can do something to express her feeling.
5. supportive characters are way too good for main characters I must say. they are mature and logical while the main characters are childish.

A main character who understand everything expect the fact girls have feeling for him, unimaginable overpowering heroine, hinata(from naruto) as kosaki, decent support character, plot that makes you sick for thinking too much - - we present NISEKOI !!!!

Nisekoi OVA 2 - This one is absurd. Raku get ravaged by 4 girls and he just passed out and didn't remember what actually happen. Isn't that refer to rape in general term ? losing victims memory, that's the best think author came up with ? instead of telling what happened and apologising, heroins tend to keep that a secret. wow.. is there anyone who think the story on right path ?

If every boring dude gets his own harem...then where's mine?

Story:
To say that Nisekoi has a story would be wrong, it's more like an excuse. An excuse that gets thrown out the window as quickly as possible. Actually, if you started watching halfway through, you would probably not even know about the lock and the keys. The forced couple-plot is also pushed aside more and more and only comes up again if needed for the next shenanigan. All the coincidences will stretch your suspension of disbelief and so will the behaviour of the characters (but that's a different point). Nisekoi is a vanilla harem and nothing ... else. It has no compelling story, no development at all, no surprises, no conclusion, just the very, very basic stuff. That's not enough for the n-th harem anime, it has to have something...but it doesn't.

Nisekoi doesn't look bad, but seeing how it is a modern SHAFT anime, it is not as special as it could have been. Maybe that's an unfair assumption and they simply didn't want to go there. Solid, but not breathtaking.

Sound:
Openings and endings were pretty forgettable, but that's often the case, so I won't hold it against Nisekoi. The voice acting was good, especially the main girls. I have somewhat of a crush on Kana Hanazawas voice.

Characters:
Oh boy, here we go...The male lead is a generic idiot like in almost every other harem. He starts out liking only Onodera, but in the end he doesn't seem to care about her anymore and fully embraced the Chitoge route. Why? Chitoge is the basic tsundere love interest, though they forget the dere part untill the final two episodes, so I have absolutely NO idea why anybody (Raku as well as the viewers) would like her. All she says, all she does, she is just being a bitch with no reason. Anyway, how about the other girls? Onodera is a big ball of cuteness, but she is just as stupid as Raku. She takes every opportunity she gets to DENY her love for him. Wtf? Her friend even outright tells her that she's an idiot for not taking the chance, but that doesn't seem to help. Untill a certain point, such a behaviour is cute and funny, but Nisekoi crosses that line very fast. So we have two major contenders who have no right to win. Tachibana feels completely out of place. She appears out of nowhere and just interrupts what SHOULD have been a love triangle. She doesn't even feel like a main character, so why even have her? Tsugumi...well, she's as unimportant as any other side character two episodes after her introduction, so why is she even there? That makes a stupid ass hero (even for harem standards), two female main characters who don't get me to root for them at all and two more girls who add nothing to this anime. This cast is a complete failure and they make me not care about the outcome at all.

Enjoyment:
Some of you will think that I'm just hating on Nisekoi, but I'm not. I was preparing to like this show before I started watching, as the premise sounded interesting and I heard a lot of good things about it. And to be honest, I did enjoy it for the first couple of episodes. But the further the show gets, the more I got angry about it. In the end it made me so angry that I couldn't watch any more anime for the rest of the day after watching an episode of Nisekoi. And that's sad.

Unfortunately, Chitoge is the most insufferable character I have ever seen in anime. I dislike almost every character in this show but she just shines through the rest. Needlessly violent and endlessly hypocritical, watching episode 19 of the show (where she was at her most insufferable) took me over 2 hours as I had to take frequent breaks to calm down after her latest outburst of idiocy.

While the art may be enjoyable and the sound wasn't bad enough to remember, unfortunately the rest of my experience with this trainwreck of a show requires that I give it no more than 1 as my rating. ...

To provide some points of comparison, I dislike Myne from The Rising of the Shield Hero LESS THAN CHITOGE. I also dislike Makoto from school days less than Chitoge the hypocritical, insufferable embodiment of idiocy.

If this is the absolutely first RomCom you have ever seen, you will most likely enjoy this series and really like it.
However, if you have seen any RomCom before or enough Anime in general to understand the cliches and tropes it has; you will see the amount of non-existent originality this show has to offer and how boring it is.

Story: 3/10

The story of Nisekoi AKA Waifu Wars: The Animation, is the most unoriginal anime series that I have witnessed and it was something that pained me to witness.

The basic premise of Nisekoi seemed interesting enough for me to enjoy the first few episodes but ... I quickly realized how bad it is.

It is like the author had a sheet, and on that sheet were check boxes with anime tropes/cliches and he just checked off each and every box one by one.

Characters: 1/10

Again, nothing original here. The characters are some of the basic archetypes you can and will find in anime, for example: Chitoge is your tsundere and transfer student.

Art:7/10

The art in this series is colourful and is something that I witnessed in watching the first few episodes of Madoka Magica.

Animation is average, nothing new or noteworthy but good enough to be watchable.

Sound: 7/10

Sound is again, nothing extraordinary or noteworthy but good.

Enjoyment: 3/10

With all the cliches, bland characters and boring story I did not enjoy this series at all and dropped it after the fourth episode.
I've seen better Harems and RomComs than this.

Overall: 4/10

Overall, this anime plays on tropes and cliches that have been done before and better. I seriously gave this anime a second chance to see if maybe I'm being too critical but I still don't like it.

The non-existent originality in this story killed my enjoyment and
the romance in this story is pathetic.
(Just to be extra edgy: Fuck Nisekoi and it should go die in a hole.).

Holy shit this sucks. Literally no character in this show is in any way likeable. The main heroine is just the most dogshit, copy-paste tsundere there is. The main protagonist is the most basic, limp dick, pussy out there who is denser than a neutron star. I don't even know why I watched and completed this show, maybe cause some characters were hot. I suppose this show would be considered okay if I recommended it to an 11 year old kid who's never seen any sort of romance show in their life and has no understanding of what good writing is.

Anyways, art is pretty ... good though. 4/10.

The story of Nisekoi is a very good idea and i quite enjoyed it. It was Original and fresh.

I also enjoyed the art quite a bit. I personally liked how all the characters looked even Chitoge.

... In my opinion all of the characters are great except Chitoge. Onodera and Tsugumi are quite likeable characters.

Even though Nisekoi has strong points like the art, story and a few characters, Chitoge literally ruins it all. I just could not keep watching it.

Nisekoi is truly one of the most the dangerous shows out there, i actually belive this show needs an age limit of 25. Why?, because this show has actually damaged my brain ... , i came out of this experiance dumber and it affected my neurological development during puberty.

Story -------1000
The story is about a high school boy who is the son of a maffia boss. He apperantly made som dumb promise with a random girl when he was like 5 years old that they were going to marry. In his class there is another girl who also made a promise to some random boy that they were gonna marry. However this girl i also the daugheter of another maffia boss. Unfortunetly for them their fathers agree that they should get married so their maffia families can unite, and as you can guess hilarity ensuses.
Then for every 2-3 episodes another girl gets thrown into the harem who also somehow made the exact same promise that they were going to marry someone when they were in kindergarden. As you can guess everyone thinks the main guy is there future husband. Even when im writing all this down it sounds so fucking stupid and i can barely understand what i wrote.

First of all how many fucking children go around promising eachother that they are gonna live their entire life together and why are they so heavily concentrated in a area in Tokyo? And why does every single one of these monkeys attach themselves to this promise. And if this promise meant so much to them how come noone remembers the name of the person they made this promise.

Characters 1
Basically the two main characters have two personlity traits, they are the children of maffia bosses and they have made a promise to someone that has defined their entire existence. And they are extremely awkward and annoying. They have no redeeming qualities and i felt nothing for them, a part of me actually hoped they would never meet anyone. The other charachters are a bunch of random girls that have absolutly no relvence to show outside of the fact that they also made promises to people. Their only purpose is to mislead the reader, outside of that they mean nothing and i can't even remember any of their names or their backstory.

Overall, this is one of the dumbest shows out there and i can't recommend it to anyone.

I feel like I’ve seen this show before. Not like deja vu but more like everything is the exact same to every other rom com on this list. Every character I've seen before. Every plot point I've seen before. They just changed the packaging. That’s how I feel about most of these shows. Why is the mystery element ‘which one of these girls was my childhood friend?’ and why is this a common plotline? Who cares? That was when you were a child, even if it turns out to be a completely different girl it doesn’t fucking change your current feelings so I don’t know ... why they make such a big deal out of it. Also do you have fucking amnesia, how is your memory that fucking bad and specific to know you had a best friend who was important to you, but not who that was. At least with Quintessential Quintuplets it made sense. I guess if I had to point out a couple stand outs, I like the assassin girl but I wish she got to do more assassin stuff. The best friend just sort of messing with everyone made him my favorite character. I like how the tsundere just accepted her feelings. And yup that’s it. That’s all that’s different. If you’ve seen one of these shit shows you’ve basically seen them all. But hey, they’re strangely addicting and makes my monkey brain entertained for a few hours. The show is incomplete and I doubt they’ll ever complete it but I honestly could care less. For some reason the shots of the main character in the kitchen were fucking God Teir. Like they put way too much effort in those pointless scenes animation-wise. (That hot spring episode was fucking bullshit though)

Nisekoi, came for the soundtrack left for the poor character development and plot points. Did you like Oreimo? Maybe not so much because of the incest? Well welcome to oreimo minus incest. Where the best girl wars are so fierce you can't help but laugh at the idiocy of it all. This series is basically a combination of Oreimo and Golden time (though instead of ghosts no one can remember what the hell happened 10 years ago as if that somehow makes a cohesive plot). The story is awful, you know the ship from the start. You also know exactly how it's going to play ... out with the dopey main character doing exactly what protaganistkun should (winning all the time ayup).

That being said it's a cute show if you can get past the fact that it's been blatantly ripping off its own genre (much like MHA and shounen). It does combine the elements well it's just not especially interesting because of it's lack of originality though.

It gets +3 for 2 OPs by ClariS though. That's about the only redeeming thing about this show.

This is the possibly blandest and most generic show I've seen in my long and impressive anime career.

let's start with the good. The music’s pretty decent, and the art style is very colorful.

Let's start with the bad.

Every time the MC meets a new female character it's always the same dull and vapid background story. The MC made a promise to her that she will see his schlong and get kids and yadayadayada.

Him clearly being demented at such a young age, doesn't remember this and never in the show contacts a physician. And that's pretty much the story.
So if you like unnecessary padding, predictable ... endings, and mediocre r-34 material this is the show for you.

This note is for the entire Nisekoi saga
The first season has a linear history. The second season there are parts of the chapter or even chapters that you can skip without any problem.

Honestly I am disappointed a lot and more watching the first season. I wasn't expecting a great story, but I wasn't expecting that the second season would only devote to filling the anime. And all because if they open the necklace, the anime runs out of plot.

Conclution:
Although this anime has some funny moments, I do not recommend that you watch it and even more so because the anime does not adapt the ... entire manga, so if you want to know how it ends you have to read the manga. And basically it is a story that they have only wanted to stretch.

Esta nota es para la saga de Nisekoi entera
La primera temporada tiene una historia lineal. La segunda temporada hay partes del capitulo o incluso capítulos que te podes saltear sin ningún problema.

Sinceramente me decepciono mucho y mas viendo la primera temporada. no esperaba una gran historia, pero no esperaba que la segunda temporada solo dedicara a dar relleno al anime. Y todo porque si abren el collar el anime se queda sin argumento.

Conclusión:
aunque este anime cuenta con algunos momentos divertidos, no recomiendo que lo vean y mas aun porque el anime no adapta todo el manga, por lo cual si quieren saber como termina tienen que leer el manga. Y básicamente es una historia a la cual solo la han querido estirar.

I know many love this anime , so I watched it suspecting it to be amazing I was disappointed



I'm gonna start with the things I liked , The relationship between Chitoge and Raku was very interesting and fun to watch . I wish the should have anime focused more over their relationship than shoving more not needed characters to the mix . One of the only reasons I kept watching was because of this spice that was Raku and Chitoge had .

Now I have many issues with the show , the biggest issue was how the show shoved not needed ... characters . The show could be so much better if it focused on Raku , Chitoge and Onodera .
I feel the show would be better as a love triangle than a harrem , because tsugumi and tachibana were just side characters with no purpose . Another thing I didn't like was how two characters are having a emotional and serious conversation and suddenly a character pops up and ruins the whole moment . Another thing is how an episode is dedicated to two characters and then suddenly at the very last few minutes of the episode gets focused on another character like the built up of the two characters was nothing . I get that this is a harem but a good harem needs to balance its emotions and time for the characters so in the end its gets harder to chose who ends up with who , but just shaving characters like that is just not natural and is just distasteful .My last issue is how raku reacts to everything , sometimes he acts like a straight up jerk and behaves like he doesn't care at all .
This show has been in my watch list for awhile and watching it now , I'm disappointed .


I don't recommend this anime but if you like it go ahead and I'm not hating on anyone who likes the show .There was potential but it was thrown out the window .

the mc was complaining about the lock + key and marrying the person who unlocks it because of a dumbass promise from 10 YEARS AGO,like cmon really,thats so dumb to me,and to make things worse,when the mc ends up finding this chick,hes just like o,sorry im not interested,making searching for her pointless,he instead choses to go with Chitoge which every episode he ends up getting punched,kicked,slapped,essientially a emotional punching bag for her,every single ... fucking episode,and even when he doesnt even do anything wrong,he still gets punished,also i hate how he tries to act like a hero like bro stop,you really dont need to do anything.
Onodera is hes supposed crush,and he claims that he loves her,however after he got a chance to stay over at her house when all of her family was gone and he even got invited to her room,hes just like welp,i have to go and shes just like yeah your right that would be weird,and then she has the nerve to say,she tried her best,at that point i just started laughing because this story wasnt good.
something else that i remember not liking was when the police show up to protcect marisa or whatever the hell her name was,with a full on swat team when tsugumi pulled out her glock BUT THEY DIDINT SHOW UP IN ANY OTHER EPISODE WHEN SHE STARTED FIRING IN THE SCHOOL,AND EVEN WHEN THEY ARE CONSTANTLY NEAR THE BITCH THEY ARE PROTECTING,THEY DONT DO ANYTHING TO PROTECT THE OTHER STUDENTS BECAUSE TSUGUMI PUTS GUNS UP TO STUDENTS CHINS AND EVEN FIRES MORE ROUNDS LATER ON.

on top of that,you have these bullshit clitches littered all throught the show and the characters feeling like copy and paste sterotypes,but i can say that i liked some of the openings and endings,also the art style,and the girls were hot but again,they are so bitchy and or dense that it turns me off,there are better anime out here,and this...this is not one of them

The "mystery" of the locket and key is so unbelievably asinine and irrelevant to the situation at hand. It is a tragedy some poor animators had to slave away at making this god awful trash known as an anime.


It's directed decently enough because it's one of the Monogatari people but that's about it.
