Both have the same girl to deity plot and the same scenario where the deity has to deal with other deities. The girl in one anime is a weakling, while the girl in the other anime can kick ass. The deity's job in one anime is to protect the girl, while the deity in the other anime wants to be famous because he isn't that popular.

-Supernatural/Japanese mythology -Mix of action and comedy -MC who strives to fight against the destiny others assume for them

Both anime are about "gods" (Soul Eater: Shinigami). In both anime, some characters can change into a weapon and be used by their partner. In both anime, the "gods" (can) fight some sort of a monster that isn't human or another normal animal. They're also fun to watch. :)

Both series deal with spirits and youkai and the exorcism of them but Noragami is perhaps more entertaining

The great main characters in both animes are feel the same. The world that contains magic also very similar. And the comedy and action is great in both.

Both supernatural shows that incorporate Japanese mythology and spirits, with a human female protagonist/narrator and a supernatural male lead with a secretive and dark past.
report Recommended by gumrats
Both anime are about a girl who can turn into a ghost (but in Noragami it isn't as permanent). The main male character is helping the girl out to turn back to normal.

it is simillar treat as spirit world and curses but Noragami is about easier and relaxed start but it makes development is actually scary. in jujutsu all curses is like chakra from naruto. it is more about fights and techniques both have fighs and spirit/curses. you may like only one or both.

If supernatural is an ingredient, then it be part of a recipe for both Bakemonogatari and Noragami. Not only do they involve supernatural beings but also legends that blurs the lines between fiction and reality. Both series involves action, drama, and comedy with humorous dialogues. Bakemongatari focuses more on word play and narrative dialogues while Noragami uses gags for comedy. The main protagonist in both series gets involved with events that puts their lives in danger. There is also a bit of influence from folklore and legends relating to various cultures to some degrees.

Like Noragami, Bungou Stray Doys talks about a MC who does not have a home, and he is stray. Both anime are pretty dark with good fights, and pretty funny too And how can I forget, they both have "fight words" for their special powers

Noragami is like Bleach without all the fillers. The main characters meet in a similar way, one of them (Ichigo/Hiyori) gets a power thanks to the other one (Rukia/Yato). In both animes they fight against ghosts/monsters and there are more characters that come from a different world where it's quite normal to have the powers to see (and fight) those monsters.

Noragami's anime original end is a blatant copy of what happened between Kenshin and Jinnei in Rurouni Kenshin. Formerly kill-happy (during the samurai period) leads that no longer wish to kill are forced by another character from their pasts to fight with the intent to kill once more. In both series, the already FAR more pacifistic leads became even 'softer' after interacting with useless-outside-of-romance heroines, and the heroines lives are threatened in an attempt to make the leads have the desire to kill once more. I had noticed Noragami is basically Rurouni Kenshin but not a period piece in terms of characterisation earlier, given Yato's goofy

Very similar protagonists. Both are poor and do odd jobs from strangers for some cash. Both Gintoki and Yato are seen as mostly goofballs but have very dark pasts and made many enemies along the way. The series are both relatively lighthearted and comedic but have moments of high intensity and action.

Rinne ( Shinigami) and Yato ( God) are both poor. Rinne goes to school but Yato doesn't'. They do request from people or help lost souls. In return they ask for money or some other offering for their work. Every little counts for them. The main female helps them with their daily routine and soon has a better understanding.

Neither the story nor the characters of Noragami have anything in similar to that of Inuyasha. However, there is a similar "feel" to both of them. -The main heroins of both anime accidentally come into contact with another world. -Both male lead have a past unknown to the human girl, and a woman from their past. -The supporting characters are friends who can be counted upon. -Spirits or demons hunting are daily occurrences. Inu Yasha is a lengthy anime with a well thought plot and many incidences, where as Noragami is only 12 episode long adaptation of the manga series.

Solving problems, offering deals, and dealing with spiritual apparitions. Noragami and xxxHOLiC offer an experience like no other with its supernatural themes. Both series' main male protagonist are involved with dealing with conflicts that deals with supernatural phenomenons. They take place in a traditional/modern setting with various gags. The supporting characters also play various roles that influences each conflict. There is a good mixture of comedy, drama, and emotional basis that makes both series enjoyable.

Supernatural battles and a similar student/mentor relationship at the center. The "mentors" (Yato and Reigen, respectively) are often silly/comic relief/over-the-top, but they can and do get serious for the sake of their students and are genuinely good mentors to them. Also have similar monster designs.

+ Both are action stories with supernatural and comedic elements. + They fight and kill monsters in a very similar way to upbeat music. + Features a male main character with a tragic past, who is dorky and silly, yet can be serious when necessary.
report Recommended by Minoo_
Both series focus on characters involved in the supernatural world and take a "monster of the week" approach (though Noragami is more action-centric compared to Natsume Yuujinchou which is more character-centric).

Noragami has similarities to Dororo in that they both feature main characters who are samurai-like who are killing demons (or spirits in the case of Noragami). They both have a main protagonist who is accompanied with a younger side-kick like character. The main difference between the two is the time periods (Noragami takes place in the modern era) and that the main protagonists have different personalities. Still, there are enough similarities that you would likely like the other if you like one.

"Noragami" and "Blood Blockade Battlefront" / "Kekkai Sensen" are two supernatural action series by Studio Bones focusing on individuals with special abilities battling against creatures from another world. These two shows contain high-impact fight sequences in an alternate modern urban setting. Also, the protagonist of both shows is a formerly normal person who suddenly gets dragged into the situation, though each respectively has a different reason as to why they continue to cooperate.

Both madoka magica and noragami uses super-natrual occurrences to explain why corrupt and malicious outcomes occur in people's daily lives; such as demons, spiteful spirits, and corruptions of the soul in the hearts of people in a modern society

Both have supernatural creatures and another invisible "world" that cannot be seen by normal humans. Both have normal people forgetting the presence of people that were affected by the "other world." Both MCs have long "katana like" swords. The flame hazes can be the gods of Noragami. Both have a girl that doesn't fight but gets involved with the "other world." Both have antagonists that have many "pawns/weapons."

There's a similar vibe and atmosphere about these anime. Both are set in a city where mysterious and supernatural things happen with a cast of colorful, out of the ordinary characters. Even the openings feel alike.

In my opinion these two are sort of under rated/unknown series (especially FnM) compared to the mainstream ones and end up not getting enough attention, even tho they both deserve more! They are different from eachother but yet have some strong common points: - supernatural genre is a very important theme to both, although Noragami tends to have more action while FnM gets to be more dramatic - creatures like gods, ayakashi, youkai, spirits and whatsover are daily routine for both stories (Noragami is specially mainly setted on gods) - both main characters have to deal with exorcisms, particoularly FnM, but while the usual term "exorcism" is treated

Both have spunky mcs, supernatural settings as well as quite of bit of action in it as well too and lots of stylish visuals and art as well too.

Both MC's fight to protect the grounds from demons that appear during the night. Both stories involve 2 Main male characters and 1 female MC, who build stronger relationships as the storyline unfolds. Both series deal with spirits and youkai and the exorcism of them before they in danger the human race. Both series have great balance of Comedy, Action, Adventure, Supernatural, and Fantasy elements.

"Just like Mushishi but with more action!" That's what I thought after a few episodes. Both anime are dealing with a beings from a different world that blends with our reality and affects people. The main character gets rid of a beings called Phantoms that cause problems to people the same way as Mushi do and Ginko takes care of them in Mushishi.

The first and most similar thing that both anime share is the close bond and friendship the "masters" have with their "servants" in Noragami's case, the bond the Gods have with their Regalia/Shinki and in Servamp the bond the Eve's have with their Servamps. Also Servamps can have subs(lesser vampires created by and working for them) and they treat these lesser vampires like their own family, which is another similarity to how some Gods treat their Shinki in Noragami. Another similarity is that lesser Vampires are created by the Servamps using dead/dying humans, giving them another chance at life similar to how the Regalia/Shinki are souls of

Very similar animes. -Both about the main guy character has a very dark past, who is known for very cold and heartless. -Both about main guy meets a girl who changes him and he starts to become a better person -Both main girl character are very similar -Both main girl character finds out about the truth of the world, like how some people has special abilities and cleanse monsters / people who sinned -Both involve action and very sad -Both very good anime that will give you the same feelings

- Both have monsters able to infect humans (Ayakashi/Gastrea) - Infected humans turn into the monster - Both have some people fighting against the monsters (Yato & Yukine/ Rentarou & Enju) - Noragami has the God/Divine Weapon ranking, Black Bullet has the enforcer/promoter ranking

Both are supernatural and both have a romantic relationship development. Both shows try to answer what makes someone human and both shows have strong character development. Satsuriku no Tenshi has more blood and violence though Noragami has some sensitive scenes too.

The economy in Noragami and DanMachi (Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomearu no Wa Machigatteriu Darou Ka) is quite similar in that the Gods from both shows have "teams" or "familias" in which people pray to and fight for them.
report Recommended by AvanAJ
Both anime revolve around gods fighting demons or spirits (in Noragami they're called phantoms and in Heion Sedai no Idaten they're just called demons) and in both anime the gods are trying to protect humans.

Both are about Ayakashi (supernatural monsters) Both have link to traditional Japanese culture (gods, tales etc.) Both have underlying metaphors/themes for real life problems/situations Mononoke has unique/rare art style Noragami focussed more on combat/comedy Mononoke focussed more on mystery/horror If you liked the dark & mysterious Ayakashi in Noragami, and you like horror stories, Mononoke will be a fun ride. (For some art style may need some getting used to) If you liked the dark & creepy Ayakashi in Mononoke, and you like action/comedy stories, Noragami will be an enjoyable ride. (Animation & audio are high quality with great music used throughout)

Similarities: - Kings in K, Gods in Noragami - Clansmen in K, Regalias in Noragami - Kings fight each other in K, Gods fight each other in Noragami. Both have a comedic atmosphere most of the time but at any given point, everything escalates from 0 to 100 plot wise.

These two anime don't really have similar art or styles, however the main concept is pretty similar. They both have a god-solving-problems thing going on; and both gods have problematic pasts. Furthermore they're both assisted by a human assistant, girls with whom they end up developing a relationship which is more overt in Noragami. While Loki Ragnarok focuses on Norse mythology Noragami plays into Shinto folklore, and gods roam around the human world in both of them. So if you're into exploring the relationship between gods, and enjoy a good dash of folklore in your anime, then enjoy!

The characters fight against demons/supernatural in the big city they live in. They have the common goal of helping other people. The main characters voice actor is same!

While they consist of different form of storytelling, Noragami and Jigoku Shoujo carries a distinctive way of dealing with tasks/grudges. The main protagonist contrasts in personalities but always tries to get the job done in their way. As their genre implies, both series has supernatural elements that are considered abnormal in the world of the living. Among these supernatural elements involves spirits, apparitions, and otherworldly phenomenons. Various themes are explored throughout both series including anger, regret, jealousy, hatred, identity, and bullying. Jigoku Shoujo (Hell Girl) has a much more serious atmosphere while Noragami adapts a more lighthearted tone. They are both also well known for their exquisite

Tokyo Ravens and Noragami come with the package of dealing with spiritual beings with magic/abilities. The main male protagonist often comes in contact with these beings in their perspective worlds. Both series' main male protagonist has a past that is explored throughout their stories. Through them, certain plot elements are unraveled that ties together with its themes. Both series also takes place in a school life setting.. Tokyo Ravens has more romance while Noragami presents excellent comedy with its humorous dialogues and character interactions.

A group of friends fight together, though sometimes against one another, to save their city or world from evil yokai/spirits with some comedy, implied romance & good/catchy OST's along the way.

The two MCs in Trickster have a very strong resemblance to Yato and Yukine in Noragami. So if you enjoy that relationship dynamic, you'll enjoy watching these two together. The plots are relatively similar as well: the MC carrying out a series of tasks, and the other begrudgingly tagging along for different reasons.

When I was watching noragami it reminded me of zombie loan a lot. similarities: -they get jobs were they have to slay things -they get paid after the job -both are comedy -have a bit of romance in it -they have a girl who meets them accidently differences: -zombie loan is a bit more gory -noragami is focused on gods and goddess of japan -zombie loan has to do with zombies overall both of the series are enjoyable and and I highly recomend them.
