Synopsis

When tragedy is about to strike, Satoru Fujinuma finds himself sent back several minutes before the accident occurs. The detached, 29-year-old manga artist has taken advantage of this powerful yet mysterious phenomenon, which he calls "Revival," to save many lives.

However, when he is wrongfully accused of murdering someone close to him, Satoru is sent back to the past once again, but this time to 1988, 18 years in the past. Soon, he realizes that the murder may be connected to the abduction and killing of one of his classmates, the solitary and mysterious Kayo Hinazuki, that took place when he was a child. This is his chance to make things right.

Boku dake ga Inai Machi follows Satoru in his mission to uncover what truly transpired 18 years ago and prevent the death of his classmate while protecting those he cares about in the present.

The butterfly effect, any and every action, no matter the size, has a ripple effect larger than you can imagine. Every good and bad thing we do, has a ripple effect. It impacts us, those around us, and the world at large. But most importantly, it determines the trajectory of events to follow. Even the smallest alterations to our pasts can have a huge impact on our future. Enter Satoru, a failed mangaka tasked with going back in time to prevent the murder of his mom, three young kids, and the incarceration of a victim who was framed for murder. Just how well does Erased ...

Title: Erased (Boku Dake Inai Machi) - A Disappointing Mystery Drama

Erased, also known as Boku Dake Inai Machi, presents an intriguing premise of time travel to prevent tragedies and a murder mystery intertwined with the protagonist's personal life. Unfortunately, the anime falls short in delivering a compelling story due to a myriad of issues, particularly with its characters and numerous plot holes.

The concept of time travel and altering events is not unique to Erased, but the problem lies in its randomness. Instead of using time travel to develop the characters, the narrative often changes direction abruptly, leaving viewers feeling disconnected. While this approach does create ...

I wanted to like this show; I really did. But it just isn't good. At all.

Conceptually, it's really interesting. I love time travel stories, so I was excited to watch this show. Unfortunately though, this is probably the worst piece of time travel media that I've ever watched. I seriously can't think of a single one that I dislike more.

I get angry just thinking about this show, just because of how hard they fumbled the bag. This anime could have been something great, but it is so far from that.

The story is not good, frankly. It's good as a concept, but not in execution. ...
