Synopsis

A bus full of eccentric individuals is headed towards the urban legend known as Nanaki Village, a place where one can supposedly start over and live a perfect life. While many have different ideas of why the village cannot be found on any map, or why even the police cannot pinpoint its location, they each look forward to their new lives and just what awaits them once they reach their destination.

After a few mishaps, they successfully arrive at Nanaki Village only to find it completely abandoned. Judging from the state of disrepair, it has been vacant for at least a year. However, secrets are soon revealed as some of the group begin to go missing while exploring the village and amidst the confusion, they find bloody claw marks in a forest. As mistrust and in-fighting break out, will they ever be able to figure out the truth behind this lost village?

I initially decided to watch it after reading both positive, mixed and negative reviews making my mind to watch it and find out for myself if it's really as bad as the majority says it is and it being only 12 episodes made it quite easy.

After watching several episodes, I can understand some of the complaints of the negative reviews that they expected more, because it can feel lacking at times. But in defense of the anime, I will say that those who were expecting more, most likely are used to everything they watch to be of epic proportions and their senses are so dulled ...

Mixed Feelings
The first episode is great. It really does it job of luring you in and making you curious. Unfortunately the rest of the show, especially the later episodes, don’t pull their weight. It really starts to grind to a halt around episode 8. It sort of just loops round in circles with exploratory dialogue thrown in but unfortunately I didn’t feel like the explanation was actually helpful or really satisfying. There are so much more ways this could have ended and we got a very banal one. It’s still an interesting show up until the later episodes but I think the wheels came off the ...

Think of a regret I had when I completed this work. I ALMOST give up halfway through.
Every time I go to watch a work, I never expect anything. Especially because - "if you don't expect anything, you won't be disappointed". And that's when I wasn't disappointed with anything, I repeat, WITH NOTHING.
Starting with young characters already gives me that "pathetic" look. There are hardly any works like this, which work well in the chosen theme. Horror. Horror? To watch? LOL
The pathetic progression with pathetic characters, made me learn to cook. Ironic I would say.
If you're going to watch this disgraceful anime, take a tranquilizer first, ...
