Anime 38807 Goblin Slayer Bouken Kiroku Youshi - Adventure Sheet

Ahh, it's rewind time.
To make it short, this is a recap for the first 10 episodes of the series.
Goblin Slayer is still a relatively short serialization, and for one to have to watch a recap isn't going to be necessary unless you're not watching it on a daily or weekly basis, it takes a lot to forget about the key moments of the show for how questionable they are in the first place.
As a recap episode, this is really well done, with no annoying reoccurrence, it really manages to pack in a lot of emotion and emits the spotlights on Goblin Slayer and cowgirl the ... most, making you think they are something big coming up for the two next.
I wouldn't call this a must watch, unless you're too invested in characters and want to see more of them, then give it a go, I for one thought I've got the story on the right tracks, until I watched this recap and managed to pick up a lot of detail I somehow slept off on previously, it really helped explain a lot of things better at the end.
Pretty solid recap at a decent production value if I do say so myself.

Basically, this episode is a recap of all the important events in the episodes so far. It starts off with a bit more revelation on the MC's past. Hence, I expected more explanations:
- what happened after that (the attacks on his village and family)
- did anyone train him
- when did the red-haired girl come back?
and etc as i haven't read the manga. However, we got around 2 minutes, may be less of the Goblin Slayer's past. After this, the whole story continues with the MC's fight scenes and new found buddies spoken through the red haired chick perspective.
Spoiler or not alert: It is ... obvious how much she loves him but the ending scene is the same one as in the previous episode so the anime leaves us with the same cliff-hanger about the fate of the girl (and her uncle of course). Hopefully, they are alive and well and the goblins haven't reached them. Otherwise, our Slayer might turn into a much much darker character.

I remember last week when I realized what I realized this week: it's Sunday, anime day!

I was looking at the new episodes and saw a "10.5." I didn't even look at the title. I skipped it. Then this week when I saw the real new episode, I was curious what this 10.5 was. I should've read the reviews here first! I clicked through it, then went here and found that I can add it to my watch list to increase my anime count.

If you want to watch Goblin Slayer in 3 episodes instead of 12, you can watch 10.5, 11, and 12. Skip 11 though, ... there might be an episode 11.5 you can watch instead that will recap it. You know what? You can read the synopsis and then go watch Boku no P—Hero Academica.

Story: very quick development
Art: same as other episodes
Sound: sounds oddly familiar
Character: wow, it's the same characters! it's like a spinoff that isn't a spinoff!
Enjoyment: In mY oPiNioN, I enjoyed writing this review.
