Anime 39519 Dragons Dogma

I have not played the game so I am not sure how true the story is to the game itself, however those who played the game were not too happy, that being said most people say its still a pretty good anime.

Since I never played the game, based on what I saw i was really impressed and really enjoyed this Anime. However it is only 7 episodes, I did kinda wish their was more, but was still pretty happy Overall.

The animation, the sound, and character development from this anime is pretty good, however the story itself is what I found to be very ... interesting. I do think any anime fan would like this show, and even if your not an anime fan, I believe it is still worth a watch.

In regards to those who are a fan of the game, based on what others said they arent to happy with this anime, But i would still recommend to watch it.

Its only 7 episodes, so it wont take up too much of your time, and the story itself is really good, I personally loved the ending of this show.

That was from mediocre to horrible. First the animation is awful its like 2D animation done in 3D and it looks more like cutscenes from an JRPG and not an anime. And the 3D animation is just horrible, it made the entire thing almost un-watchable. In my opinion they should have stuck with 2D animation. Now for the story and its pretty bad. They threw some random monsters from all over the place with no rhyme or reason. its like fight that because why not.Episode 1 and 7 are the only good episodes for the story. Episodes 2 to 6 feel like filler.He has one ... goal in mind but no he has slay random monsters. Now slaying random monsters from mythologies makes sense in the end, but its all bland and feels like it needed a lot more work to make it good. Now unto the voice acting. Its horrible. I was watching it in english and to say the least it was horrible. It was good for like 1 or 2 second and then terrible for the next 10 to 15 minutes. I mean they could have done a such better job at voice acting but no they did not. Overall this is just bland with your typical monster slaying that is very bland in the end. I mean i get it how it ended but cmon the delivery should have been better then what i was at the end, not so bland and just whatever. I would say stay away from this heaping garbage and dont watch it. Save yourself time. And capcom really need to make a good anime based on their games.

Summary: Dragon's Dogma takes a loose story-line from its game series and merges it with the seven deadly sins, tackling them one at a time. The characters, story, and everything else are just bad. The animation is okay in certain points, but that's all. I would never recommend this anime to someone.

Story: 1/10
This is one of the least cohesive and most bland plots imaginable. The characters are so boring that the plot doesn't even matter. Each episode, the main character encounters a new sin in the form of a monster. The ending is anticlimactic and there are really no ... clear or meaningful themes addressed in this show.

Art: 4/10
The art is average at best and glaringly jarring at worst. The opening theme is very cool, so I'll throw the animators a bone...

Sound: 2/10
The soundtrack is below average and generic. The voice acting in English is horrific and barely makes sense. Listening to it actually hurts the ears, but the written subtitles are even worse and make the dialogue seem like it was written by a 4 year old.

Character: 1/10
The characters are poorly written, bland, and really make no important decisions for growth. The story is plot-driven in a haphazard way. The overall story is anticlimactic, and there's no character the viewer can relate to or miss by the end of the story, besides maybe a dragon.

Enjoyment: 1/10
This may be the worst, least meaningful, and most forgettable anime I will ever watch.
