Come and enjoy a variety of skits put on by the girls of Hololive, who all have their own unique quirks, charming looks, and fun personalities. Feel yourself overwhelmed ... by the plethora of memes, references, and shitposts packed into each short segment. Watching each Elite episode makes you feel like your tripping on a heavy dose of Asacoco, and it’s frickin amazing!

Oh, and if you think that the girls lack “depth” or “complexity”, all I have to say to you is NAAAAAAAAAA. For example, Suisei’s story is a heartwarming tale about never giving up. She spent a long time being unnoticed and was even rejected by Hololive once. But she persevered and put in the effort to rise in talent and popularity. Now she shines for thousands like a comet in the night sky. Other members like Watame and Kanata have also had obstacles in their lives that seem incredibly daunting, but they always keep their positivity and push forward. May I remind you that these idols are real people. They’re actually pretty inspirational.

Hololive is also an educational experience too. Crazy, right? I’ve learned more Japanese from watching 6 months of Hololive than 6 years of anime. I’ve been enlightened by words such as Yametekudastop and 草. I’ve also learned how to differentiate between ducks and swans, chickens and phoenixes, and a variety of other animals. Truly life changing.

Just remember, these episodes are short comedy skits, so when you see the multitude of overwhelmingly positive scores towards Holo no Graffiti, don't think that it's because there's a well thought out or deep narrative in place here. In fact, most episodes are a convoluted mess of insanity. But that's what makes it so fun. Seeing these idols just having a blast and being crazy together is a joy to watch, and if you're a fan of Vtubers or are interested in them, I'd definitely suggest giving this a try.

I think Holo no Graffiti is an exquisite work of art. Every episode, it shows how unconventional that makes you think "wow that sure is weird huh" but in actuality it depicts life as it is. No aspects of life are truly conventional, in fact every weird thing that happens in our lifetime happens because the Greater Being grants us the cruel punishment that is life. Another interesting design choice that "Holo no Graffiti" shows is the rapid, moving dialogues and animation that is present in most of its episodes. Rather than being done for the sake of comedy, it is actually a reflection of ... life itself. While yes, life itself is the longest chain of events that we, mere humans, will ever experience in life showing that life is a rather rapid process. Every day, month and year we always thought to ourselves "Wow it feels like yesterday where I celebrated Christmas with my grandmother back in 2008", this is the thing that the author and director wants to show to the viewers. Life is but a fast, no brake zone, it teaches us that we must value every milliseconds that we spend in our lives, be it good or bad events, it's a very Nietzschean approach in terms of storytelling. Lastly, Holo no Graffiti is uploaded to YouTube, one of the most rapidly growing social networks in recent years that features "loop" features. The author and director's decision to upload it on YouTube is not because of public accessibility, but it's actually because they too, wish they can just replay certain moments in their life. If only life doesn't move too fast. If only a person can turn back time and replay the things that we cherish most. The universe is truly a cruel mistress.

The best work of the aniem of the history, each chapter is a unique experience in which the problems of our current society are explored with good exposition. All the characters have development arcs, good characterization and all are endearing, despite this I feel that the ones that stand out the most are Okayu for his revenge and redemption arc, I also highlight Korone despite his tragic past he manages to walk again thanks to the corpse of the holy body and to Watame who at first did not want to get on the Eva but thanks to her companions she manages to overcome the ... depression that tormented her, or also Haachama who discovers that war is not the solution and decides to follow the path of peace and although She knows that this ideal is impossible, she prefers to try rather than follow the cycle of hate, all the characters are good but these were my favorites. In addition, the production is at the height of mega-productions of Ghibli. An absolute masterpiece.

While as Hololive (JP, ID, EN included; CN Star excluded) is eventually invincible, Nijisanji should be thrown into the trashtank of VTB history.
This masterpiece of holo art explains itself why people from all over the globe love these girls and pay money they've been saveing during dire pandemic depression.

In the field of virtual idol animation, Yagoo and Holo have done their best. The performance of single episode that is full of effort, the balance and completion of the whole story is light, and the efforts ... of the paintingteam are visible to the naked eyes. Although the subject matter is limited and there are a lot of slots, it is already king and good enough. At least at the moment the director is a god.
l just saw an idol fan when I opened the webpage. I have a high degree of confidence in characterization and emotions, which make it almostimpossible to watch other idol fans in the future.

I´ve seen a lot of series, but specifically this one is such an amazing work, i really can't believe how this is that good, every time i see a episode from Holo no Graffiti there is a smile in my face that I can't get rid of, all the episodes are just as good, all the characters are so deep that they even have their own Youtube's channels, is that good that a whole life wouldn't be enough to watch all the content that hololive has to offer.

I am so happy that this series is in the place that it deserves, there ... are so many things that make Hololive no Graffiti so good that if I had to name them, I would never finish writing this review.

Quick note: This is my first review ever, I really don't know how to write these things but here we go (and sorry for my bad english).

This is really amazing show and it really fills me up with happiness everytime new episode come out

First thing: you should really watch streams first, before diving into Holo no Graffiti.

I will talk about Japanese hololive members because there's no English or Indonesian ones in Holo no Graffiti. But ofc, all of them are good!

For those who doesn't know what is this: Basically, hololive is agency, group, one big family ♥️(once you "fall down the rabbit hole" you will ... understand this sentence trust me ;) ).

Simply said: cute anime girls, streaming all kinds of content on youtube.

They are sorted by generations (from oldest to newest hololive members, there's currently 5 generations + Hololive Gamers - more on that later).

They are all adorable and there is a content for everyone.

"Where should I start?" Well...
Here's some recommendations, as simple as possible:

- Feeling depressed? Watch Shirakami Fubuki/Korone Inugami/Usada Pekora

- Feeling ho*ny... MOTIVATED*? Watch Houshou Marine or Natsuiro Matsuri

- Feeling brave? Watch Akai Haato aka Haachama (on your own responsibility)

- Want to learn some magic? Watch Murasaki Shion

- Craving for cuteness? Watch Uruha Rushia, Minato Aqua, Shirakami Fubuki...well, EVERYONE.

- Memes and tights? Watch Kiryu Coco

- Gaming? Even tho everyone of them started playing video games, there's a generation, made especially for gaming, Hololive Gamers, including: Inugami Korone, Nekomata Okayu, Shirakami Fubuki and Ookami Mio.

Everyone is really good at music too!

Some tips: Don't try Haachama's food and don't call Rushia "pettan", call her "boing boing" ;) . But most important of them all... DON'T lewd the d o g.

Once again, I really recommend you all to watch streams before diving into these shorts aka Holo no Graffiti.

STORY 6
All the skits will almost always reference things on stream. Non-fans may not get that but if you are interested you can always go to the comments section. I enjoyed all of it. This show is like a collection of references of each individual idol's streams that becomes part of Hololive Lore. It's basically a slice of life comedy in a "fictionalized HoloStudio".

+It's very funny when you get the references.
-The story is not developing just the daily lives of Hololive girls in the HoloStudio.
-It's very short. There are 80 episodes (as of now, the time this review is being written). Each episode an average ... of more than a minute but never exceeding 5 minutes.
-The earlier episodes are Privated. While it exists in NicoNicoDouga or BiliBili, it does not have subtitles. You may not understand why it's funny when you don't speak Japanese or Chinese.

CHARACTERS 8
The portrayals of idols here is quite accurate, very much same when they are on stream. It's nice that Hololive knows their idols as expected. One of skits is the "Human Tetris" starring Hoshimachi Suisei, they recognize that she is a character psychopathic tendencies. Another example is when they refer to Akai Haato as Hachamaa (her new name but officially she is Akai Haato), a quite minor detail but very well appreciated.

+Seemingly accurate portrayals of the vtubers in Anime form.
+Each character has unique designs and personalities.
- Non-fans may not know about these characters, so they'll have to watch clips and streams so that they'll understand why they are like that.

ART & SOUND 8 & 7
I hate CGI and anything 3D in anime but this is an exception. I'm an average enjoyer of clips and streams of Hololive vtubers so this is not a problem at all but I can imagine myself hating on this if I weren't fan but I am so it's actually fine. The sound is fine too, if you care about that.

+It's 3D. It's a good one since we usually see them in 2D or 2.5D on stream but in this show they are really in 3D.
-3D may be a turn off to some of you.

ENJOYMENT 9
Yes, I really enjoyed it but not the earlier episodes that were privated in I had to watch in NicoNicoDouga or BiliBili, since it didn't have english substitles.

OVERALL 7
This show has a prerequisite that you have to be a Hololive enjoyer first in order to enjoy this anime. I don't think a non-fan will enjoy this but if they do they'll become a fan.

-Prerequisites before watching reminds me of schoolworks. Non-fans will have to watch the streams first to get the references.
+But if you're into Hololive or Vtubers in general, then you're in for a blast!

Best thing i've wathced in a long time, characters are the best part and the slice of life spin offs they do for everyone are even better.

Cured my drepression.

Best characters are cute oni, secsy captain, insane chef, slav lion, yubi collector dog, "friend" cat, and onigiri cat.

... Narrative is also good, and character development is so accurate that it becomes always cannon.

Cooking episodes are the best, and even better if you are into exotic cooking, and the music, nothing comes close it. Haven't tried myself, but its siad that the recipies are really good. So, ITADAKIHAACHAMA CHAMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-

I hope they add the new english speaking characters, there is a shark, a chiken, an octopus, a gremlin detective, and death herself, yes death is a she. No ones knows if they'll ever come, maybe it's a Myth

This is either for you, or not for you. It all boils down to expectations and humor. This anime thrives off the short skit format so if you aren't someone who enjoys that, just don't watch it. As a fledgling hololive fan, this show was somewhat helpful to learn the names of some of the members. This show has basically no story and has somewhat mixed graphics but as it is not meant to be taken seriously it benefits from it. Honestly had many a good laugh while watching this. You will probably enjoy the show more if you have some knowledge of the ... hololive idols beforehand but it is still really enjoyable even if you don't know much more than you'd learn from a discord memes channel. I would like to give you the tiniest warning that this show can get fairly loud at times so I would recommend you halve your volume beforehand. Overall I'd most certainly recommend you watch at least one episode to get a decent jist and form your own opinion.

Are you looking for a comedy starring your favorite Hololive Vtubers?

Well, you came to the right place. Holo no Graffiti is a series of short ONAs starring the idols of Hololive, uploaded to the official Hololive YouTube channel about once a week.

There isn’t much continuous story, and the art style is literally the idol’s 3D models animated and voice acted by the idols themselves. However, each episode is short enough to tell a short, comedic story centered around 3 to 8 of the idols, usually taking place in a CG version of the Hololive office. Overall, 10/10, I can’t think of any downsides.

When i was 4 years old my step mom used to think it was funny to blow an airhorn into my ear whenever i did something she didn't like. Now, i have pretty much no hearing! Even so, there voices are so kawaii and cute and cool and nice 10/10.

Character: There are lots!
The more the better am i right, so many characters and so many good times.

Enjoyment:
This anime changed my life. Before this I have never felt such joy, such happiness. such pleasure. I spend every day rewatching every hologra ep and it is my reason for living!

Overall: 10/10
It made me cry, it made me laugh, it made my piss and it made me poop. This wonderful anime has 0.0 flaws and will forever hold a special place in my heart.

So, let's clear some things up:

This is not a review for the fans of hololive. All of you know to watch this show. If you're interested to get into hololive, this isn't for you. Start watching any of the girls, and when you know your way around, come back. If you still want to watch this first, this is for you.

Yes this show is nonsense fanservice. Yes that means it still deserves a 10/10. I enjoy this show as much as any of my favorites, therefore it is a 10 for me. Yes you can go ahead and rate it lower, but first look at ... yourself in the mirror. Have you ever told anyone that they've watched an anime wrong because they skipped something? Would you be upset if I skipped to the middle of your favorite show or movie, didn't understand it and decided it's terrible? Would you feel it's wrong if someone watches the FMA 4-Koma, Carnival Phantasm, Emiya-san Chi no Kyō no Gohan, or any of those kind of shows before watching their original works, and deciding they're bad?

Because if you can say yes to any of the sentences before, you owe it to yourself to watch some Hololive streams before watching this show. Not because it's unfair for you to rate it, but because you are skipping on hours, days, months or even years of content that you might enjoy for the sake of hating on something people love. Don't start here. Start with the girls' streams. If you enjoy them, come back and I'll promise you'll have fun.

TL;DR: Go watch Hololive streams before watching this. Hate less, watch things you enjoy, have fun, and hopefully, I'll see you in the rabbit hole.

I'd like to preface this review by saying I was a part of the wave that experienced hololive from Fubuki Scatman. This was around February of 2020, and I don't think there could be a more perfect time for Hololive to have entered my life. Many people will say 2020 was one of their worst years, but I will proudly say it has been one of my best, thanks to Hololive. I was never much into vtubers. I liked the concept but most I saw lacked the personality that would hook me, but then came Hololive. So many wonderful raw moments filled with real human ... behavior. It was also a brilliant cross cultural experience that I can only describe as very rich. So many stories, connections, lows and highs. I am not rating this as just Holo no Gra, but also my entire experience of hololive as a whole. To support these girls whom I've come to love, and to spread the word of hololive to more and more people who may really need the positivity and escape in their lives.

Holo no Gra by itself is still really entertaining. Countless memes have erupted from the community thanks to the insane minds of whoever is coming up with these shorts. It's really just pure fun.

Top tier anime, no complaints. It's short, funny, entertaining, Haachamachama and very light-hearted. It doesn't try to take itself too seriously, yet comes off as a total masterpiece.

The story isn't connected, and each episode differs in plot. However, the overall themes are consistent, and the personalities of the main characters(vtubers) are well represented. In fact, each story in itself is a masterpiece. The humour can be subtle, yet blunt at times, and often, prior knowledge of the vtubers is needed to fully grasp certain contents in the show.

Both visual effects and sound quality are top notch, on par with other 3D styled animes. I ... find that the fast-pacing makes the show more exciting and concise. It eliminates any filler content that is so littered in most mainstream shows.

Overall, it provides a simple yet effective form of entertainment that is unparalleled in the anime community.

I am giving a 10 not just because I'm a holosimp but to fire back at serious reviewers who are expecting top tier characters and story, this is an acid trip 100% and you'll only watch it if you like hololive so giving it a 1 it downright hypocrisy since most low reviews say that it's a 10 if u watch hololive

As much as I was memeing at the start and gave this a 10 without even watching most of the episodes, I have to say this is a straight up masterpiece.

Holo no Graffiti is comedic gold and it's even funnier when you know the inside jokes and the personalities of each and everyone in the cast. Each episode only lasts around a minute or two but there's so much to digest that I re-watched plenty of them several times.

The characters are of course top notch, the story while it's all over the place is very fitting with the general theme of the show, ... the sound design and voice acting is great, and the art style is quite simple but exceptionally done. This is just overall just one of the most enjoyable shows you can binge through and watch right now if you love Hololive and cute anime girls doing cute things.

This isn't a serie that you would criticize in base of "story art sound character", These criterias are the reason why this anime and others like this (comedies) are often badly scored.
First of all, you need to know that exist genres, these genres works so different that aplying the same criteria would be wrong.
A good example is comparing a shonen with character development vs some SoL comedy, someone would score 10/10 story in the shonen, but 0/10 in a SoL comedy because there isn't a plot in first place, although the shonen could be just another hero isekai and the SoL was something that innovated ... and changed the entire industry.
So, here we are, Holo no Graffiti.
The first thing to came in my mind when i though "an animation about vtubers" was some kinda generic comedy or something related to their characters lore, literally something that anyone would go and sucess in a easy way.
But, until this day, i don't know what this anime is about, and i'm happy about it.

This is simply asacoco induced high-tier entertainment. While it doesn't have the main plot to follow, every episode is a storyline of itself. The anime is about the shenanigans of the hololive vtubers set in the hololive office.

In conclusion Holo no Graffiti is a fun set of shorts, if you are not a fan of the members that compose the hololive Japanese branch I sincerely doubt you will enjoy it because the humor derives from their interactions with each other and their personality traits, but you are free to give them a watch given the short length of the episodes themself.
Regardless of where your option ... on Hololive lies one thing is unanimous: they provide entertainment in a time of uncertainty and negativity, and that is something worth celebrating.

Story -1 There no story, only introducting news memebers of Hololive. That quite a shame.

Art -10 The art is outstanding. This Anime look nice and look better compare to other Anime like Mars of Destruction.

Sound -10 The character sound outstanding, all the character are unique and talented.

Character -10 The character is the best part of this Anime. All the characters are unique and outstanding design.

Enjoyment -10 If you like comedy, then this is for you. Think of this Anime like Nichijou but with Vtubers. If funny and wacky. Its okay if you do not get the joke, but ... that does not mean his Anime is bad or anything. You do not need to know Hololive to enjoy this Anime. You just have you enjoy watching Anime.

Overall-10 Everything is outstanding except the story, but that okay for a Comedy Anime. The animation is outstanding for an Anime on Youtube, the sound is wondeful voice acting.The character are the best out of everything in this Anime, I enjoy watching comedy Anime and Holo No Graffiti is no differences.

Ah Quarantine, I'm sure plenty of us have been dealing with it up until now and I'm sure plenty of people have fallen into the vtuber rabbit hole. Being the top rated ONA in MAL I'm expecting some people to run into this and wondering what the hell this is.

To put it simply
Holo no Graffiti a.k.a. hologra is a weekly anime showcasing the girls of Hololive in weird and wacky situations.

What is Hololive? It's a Japanese vtubing company, filled with war criminals, memes and a lot of talented members.

Is there consistency in the plot? It's comparable to Rushia's boing boing, there's ... none. Each episode is crazy shenanigans, wacky plot that makes you wonder just how much asacoco has the staff consumed.

Is the Art good? Yes, it's very MMD like, I'd go as far and say they use MMD models for their animation but just like how Fubuki can't be our wife, it's all good and we Hololive fans accept it. The art is very lively and a lot of details are put into making it, background characters aren't just static they also react to what's happening in the foreground


How about sound? They're great, voice acting is great which is expected, everyone is lively from Towa trying to act devilish to Subaru suffering everytime she appears and even Sora showing her mischievous side.

What about the characters? Yeah, about that, just watch the streams of the girls to learn more about them, they're unique and can easily be identified, Suisei's iconic design and chest area is very different from Coco's, Ayame gives you your daily does of Nakirium while Subaru suffers again.

Is it fun to watch? Hell yeah, Holo no Graffiti is essentially shitposts from the hololive staff, from the references to the green screens, holo no graffiti serves as a way for fans to connect and interact with one another over what is essentially a shitpost.

And that's my take. Just remember that Rushia is Pettan, Matsuri is God and Fubuki is not wife but a friend.

Jokes and references aside, unless you know nothing about Hololive or Vtubing in general you will enjoy this series
