Synopsis

Wang Ling has been living a quiet life ever since resolving a particular incident, but thanks to his previous tampering with the laws of nature, the level of psionic powers in the world has dropped drastically. To stop the levels from plummeting further, his spirit sword Jingke comes to the rescue. But due to the excessive use of power, Jingke ends up ripping a crack in space. As a person that keeps up-to-date on tech, I have to give mad respect for the real obscure joke that made me burst out laughing. If you know you know.

I have to say that I believe that the show builds upon what worked best in the first season and throughout what didn't, which is the absolutely great comedy and unique world and ridding itself of cliches regarding the MC and main love interest.

The main strong points of the show are the complex conundrums that come about from being so powerful he literally can't use it, and the world of cultivation that the story is based ...

Mixed Feelings

A rare instance where the show get's better in the second season. I think that the story got a little stale this season and there wasn't much in terms of character development. That's the big downside over season 1, the freshness. Other than that the animation is much more consistent across the board, and is up to industry standard. However, it seems like this may have come at the cost of having one huge flashy scene like in season 1. The OP/ED go hard, even if the soundtrack is almost identical to season 1. New girl VA suck, but otherwise the VA is still kind ...
