The history of this anime is so generic. Just a person who dead by God unfairly and reincarned in world with a magic and have a harem with a vampire and elf. Doesn't have a Light Novel better to addapt?

The character doesn't a personality, principaly womans that make a part of "harem" of protagonist. Not has a soul. Seem robots that fill the anime to not stay void.

The reactions of characters is so superfitial, the protagonist doesn't have expressions. Ayanokoji but is a farmer of other world. It is so weird.

I recommend this anime if you don't have a preoccupation with history or others things ... that I say in review. I don't know, stay in your opinion if is good or not

This show is what last season's Noumin Kanren (I've Somehow Gotten Stronger When I Improved My Farm-Related Skills) should've been.

Isekai Nonbiri Nouka is a relaxing, feel-good story about a guy who just wants to spend his second chance at life as a farmer in a peaceful corner of the world. It isn't unusual for these kinds of isekai and isekai-adjacent fantasy anime to star a protagonist who just wants to live a slow life, but they always seem to end up getting roped into some contrived Demon Lord plot that no one asked for. So far, there are no signs of that ... happening here.

The story follows our protagonist, Hiraku, as he uses his prior knowledge from his past life and his new farm-related superpowers to establish a farm in a strange new land. It doesn't sound particularly exciting on paper, but the director does a great job keeping things moving. The viewer is often treated to cute visual demonstrations of the concepts Hiraku describes as his humble homestead progresses into a proper settlement. A surprising amount of effort has been spent on the art here, from the various vegetables he grows to the gorgeous time-lapses of the skybox -- not to mention the frequent diagrams that help the audience keep track of everything he's built. Hiraku's sense of satisfaction at the end of a hard day's work rubs off wonderfully on the viewer.

I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the harem aspect, as I know that will deter some potential viewers. Various girls stumble upon Hiraku's farm, but somehow the show dodges the trashiness that usually comes with the trope of dumping cute girls into the isekai MC's lap. There's a surprising amount of character chemistry right off the bat, and (so far) none of the overt fanservice or harem antics you would expect from this kind of setup. In fact, the girls are directly involved in the expansion of the farm -- they don't distract from the focus of the show.

tl;dr -- Isekai Nonbiri Nouka is exactly what I wanted it to be: 20 calming minutes of farming and farm-related antics each week. Cute girls are sprinkled in here and there to help tend to Hiraku's ever-growing farm, and I'm completely fine with that. They've all been fun additions to the cast that help bring out more of Hiraku's surprisingly likable character. As long as he doesn't go sign up at an adventurer's guild next episode, the rest of the season should be a great time.

“How can a show which is 80% monologue be interesting?”
There were two farming Simulator Anime that were airing this season(:p), THis one was an underdog and frankly after the terrible reception of a similar show last season, there wasnt much to expect from this. Still, one of my friends who is a dirty disgusting scumbag isekai lover basically my homie, read the manga of this show and insisted this one could be a good watch hence I knew Its worth a look.

The slice-of-life formula is there and it follows the footsteps of slime. The focus of slime was more on power fantasy however and ... here it is more about the harem than anything else , so much so that except for a dog and some dwarves and a couple of kids, every godamn resident of the village that our main protag is in is a ripe and juicy woman who is quite taken with him or wants to use him as a reproduction machine.


Plot (8/10)
Classic slice of life narrator style simulator all the event s are based on the MC s POV and most of the subtle but everpresent hints show off his evergrowing vanilla harem , as he plays Civ 6 and builds his farm, estate and business empire. Mostly its like this episode I met these friends who started to help me with this, while also they are hot women who want my energy ? kind of a situation. Oh and before i forget he is OP as fuck and nobody wants to mess with him which is also one of the running gags.

Sound and VA (8/10)
Peaceful and serene music for a good slice of life setting nice VA and good ED and OPs not much to say but a good solid combination.

Characters (5/10)
Every fucking character is there to just be eye candy busty wonman or further the civilization of the great tree village, nothing of note at ALL.

Art and animation (8/10)
the art and animation are actually pretty nice, lots of cute moments and well-designed characters who are welp eye-catching, to say the least even if forgettable.

Overall if you are an Isekai fan and want a vanilla harem with cute girls and a light power fantasy with no sense of tension this is right up your alley and will be an amazing watch. This is a 100% hit for me and my wish-fulfillment-loving friends. if this doesn't appeal to you just watch the other farm simulator of the season, its called vinland saga for some reason and its much better.

This is one of those shows that have high rating but why that is the case will forever remain a mystery. Basically it's a blueballing championship in which main character will constantly complain "oh not more women", as if he does something with them, but at the same time keep accepting new inhabitants whose only redeeming quality seems to be having tits. There are bunch of females all wanting to ride his magical tool and yet he's adamant about digging dirt. While we are never told, well anything but most importantly, his age we can only assume he's in his mid 20s or something like ... that and he hasn't touched a single female there. We are therefore safe to assume he's either gay or has too weird of a fetish none of the girls are into. Which one is it of the two is anyone's guess.

Story on the other hand is comparable to what a toddler might come up with while playing with dolls as things constantly work in his favor without him possessing any skill or investing any effort but he will constantly complain how he needs more working hands around. Animation is super lazy. We are never shown parts of the village or anything else other than few objects and a big tree. In other words they keep reusing shots and drawing few different things. It's super lazy. Characters are downright retarded and all have huge tits. Except main character who doesn't have tits but does have extra thick plot armor.

All this said, I'd like to end this review with a question directed at Japan... under which logic do you find an idea of having a harem this big and not doing anything with it a fulfilling one?

The all powerful magical farmer receives a blessed tool from god and decides to build an harem kingdom, that grows with every single creature that appears, all while skipping anything related to proper farming. He is able to grow things even without seeds, just by touching the ground, all while everything he would need is also easily available close nearby, this in what was supposed to be a very dangerous and isolated forest, but he manages to get help from every single thing that approaches him.

No story, the characters follow the dumb stereotype from every other Harem anime, clueless and without personality. No world building, ... he just gets isekaied in a random forest and start doing things, like if he was in a fresh start of a minecraft game, but with OP tools and mostly pacific Npcs enabled. There's simply nothing to hold your attention in this show, completely passable.

Edit: Actually it seems to me that just watching the kingdom progress is enough to hold some attention, so i will kinda get it a Mixed Feelings. Though it still very shallow in the way it approachs the farming themes, being limited to only talk about superficial aspects, skipping a lot of details to mostly focous in the adventure harem part.

"The nothing isekai"

A show literally filled with nothingness. It borrows some ideas from various other shows, then does nothing with them.

First up of course is the farming aspect, since it's already right there in the title. Well, it's just as interesting as one wave of the hand with a magical "All-purpose Farming Tool", then pretending you actually did some work. Nothingness incarnate.

Then for another example, it pretends to have a harem aspect at first, with tons of different races and personalities for the waifus-to-be, directly talking about how they need to repopulate their tribes and stuff, then we just see the MC complain about ... being the only man in the village and seek ways to bring other men in and do nothing of the situation. The whole topic is completely avoided for the most part except where absolutely unavoidable. In the manga we are told about the number of waifus on "night duty" in one text bubble when the first pregnancy is found out of the blue and then the topic is forgotten again. Here in the anime even that is skipped so you'd actually think he only does that one girl.

So, instead of harem, you may think it's turned into a romance then? Nope, even that's reduced to nothing somehow. When the first girl shows up and saves him from loneliness and they start living together it sure looks promising, but as more and more girls come around that aspect is just forgotten. He's never shown to treat any girl like anything special until the sudden pregnancy announcement. There were never any romantic moments or interactions, let alone discussions about their views about marriage, exclusivity or such.

Another aspect is village/city/country building/governance, but it again feels just barely glossed over and lacking details or common sense. It's just there, it happens, and that's all that can be said about it. The politics and interactions with neighbors are even more absurdly trivialized. Everyone is just automatically in awe of the new country's might and power and thus best buds by default, there is no conflict and clearly there never will be, so that aspect too leads to nothing.

You can watch this if you want to kill some time, it's not completely terrible. So long as you expect nothing from it, it will deliver.

The amount of anime that has a score higher than 7/10 is astonishing. It's like people don't even know what those numbers mean anymore. Isekai Nonbiri Nouka sits at a comfortable 7.52 as of the time of writing this review, so it should be considered a good anime right? No, it's very bad, but that's for later. Score on MAL is being a joke for a very long time, it's more of a popularity contest, than an actual rating. So while something like Bleach or Solo Leveling are being one of the highest-rated pieces of media out here, I can somehow understand it. People don't ... tend to think critically about something they like, and a lot of those manga/anime are made to trap their audience in a mindset that makes them think they are better than they actually are. Be it with good art, a plot that seems interesting at first glance but ultimately goes nowhere, or drama between characters that makes it engaging to follow until you stop and start to think about how God damn stupid it is. So, why does this anime, Isekai Nonbiri Nouka, enrage me so much? Because it's utterly shit while having a high rating.

It lacks a good art style. Animation is so basic, that it doesn't fall far from being a slideshow. Every object in the background looks like a copy-paste of something made in paint by a ten-year-old. There is no tension between the main characters. No drama that would make it interesting to follow. Writing is poor which makes the conversations boring and unpleasant to listen to. There are no intriguing moments here, no absorbing story, and nothing exciting. It's almost fascinating how bland and unimaginative this show is, and how a lot of people think of it as something relatively good.

And the brainless plot in which the MC is being given a second life, thanks to his previous one being a horrible and miserable experience. So, what happened to him? No one knows. He was betrayed, and fall sick. That's literally everything the show tells its audience. It doesn't even sound all that bad, people are dying and living a worse life than that all the time, so why he is the one chosen?

As a new profession, he chooses farming. At first, it sounded intriguing. Having a main character who struggles with his new life as a farmer. Applying things he knows from his previous life to the new one, learning more about agriculture, and so on. In short, farming version of the Ascendance of a Bookworm. But no. It's easy to realize what the show actually is about in the first minutes of it. He wants to live as a farmer because of an idol farming show he watched in a hospital bed. Like, what? Then he gets a magic farming tool, so he can spawn any primitive enough tool (I assume it needs to be functional without electricity), and doesn't get tired while using it. Oh, and he can literally create seeds out of the air for any plant he can think of. This show is a spit on the face to any actual farmer and this way of life.

Not to mention women showing up naked in the forest he lives in. Oh, and they don't give a shit about the outside world and their lives there. All that matters now is the MC and agreeing to live with him after spending one day on his farm, because FUCK LOGIC.

Garbage show, I don't recommend it.

Oh god, here we go again with another Isekai/fantasy show, only this time, try to guess what it is imitating from the real world: that's right, Stardew Valley, or more appropriately, Rune Factory.

Well, I mean, for a title like lone novelist Kinosuke Naito's Isekai Nonbiri Nouka a.k.a Farming Life in Another World, the idea of getting a headstart if you're a rather new author trying to nitpick about what has NOT come out of the overly saturated Isekai/fantasy genres in the past decade. Unfortunately, this being a Syosetu title that has been launched since the very tail end of 2016 and earning as much as ... 14 volumes of content (as if the time of this review) in the few years since its serialization to now, I really question myself: is it THIS easy to hardsell to Japanese manga/novel companies that the idea of turning Rune Factory into a light novel is a noble concept? Sure, the executives would want to believe so, because while this contributes to sales, we the audience just get wholesomely fumbled around a setting like this which just works decent at best. And given today's landscape of the Isekai/fantasy genre, it's already washed out of its welcome faster than one could ever imagine.

Meet Hiraku Machio, the 39-year-old guy who died of the typical terminal illness in real life and got Isekai-ed into another world. Recognized by God giving him a second chance at life because of what he went through of a life constantly filled with bad luck, He grants Machio the Omnipotent Farming Tool and lands him in the same typical forested area that's far from civilization. Armed with God's Holy Artifact Multi-Purpose Tool from the get-go because of his wish to be a farmer, Machio's location resides deep within an area known for causing a potentially heated conflict between kingdoms, but he doesn't care about at the very slightest. With the largest tree around the vicinity for his farm, this is Machio's redemption at a second life, the Minecraft-cum-Rune Factory style-esque life that's a peaceful one to behold.

When you take a look at this simple premise, the possibilities are endless, as such with the show (and the original source material) in mind. From demi-humans to monsters incoming from the largest tree controlling all traffic incoming and outgoing of demi-humans and monsters alike transforming from being hostile to being like home, it's of no doubt that Machio is doing a great thing for anyone who is in refuge or comes basically for the sole interest of wanting to know more about this new village. Such is with the very first species coming to form their home with him: the Greater Wolves Kuro and Yuki, who were angry at their home has been tarnished by some unknown person and looking for retaliation. Well, the first innings were hostile for Machio, but subsequently with yet another demon spider, the cotton knitting Zabuton, life in this new village begins to take hold, slowly but surely. This raises some attention from the possible inhabitants, like the first few people to come to his village: the vampire Ru and angel Tia. These two are frenemies that have a bit of hostility around them, but in the sight of Machio, work their hardest because both of them are the base foundations for more people to come. Ru has an interest in medicine to grow medicinal plants, and Tia brought in livestock, as well as his family of Killer Angels and Lizardmen to help out in the establishment of the village (the so-called First Steps if you will). Overtime, more and more people like high-elves (led by Ria), elder dwarves (led by Donovan) and even dragons (led by Dryme) come to commune and do negotiations with Machio being the mayor of this growing and vibrant community they call: The Great Tree Village. It's certainly a work of art of how with one simple man wanting a second chance at life, armed with God's Tool of choice, can make one hell of a town that has anything and everything at their shoulders: a strong military from elves and monsters, great resources from demihumans, and a mayor who is steadfast, Machio's work here certainly is not for the faint of heart, subsequently earning himself a harem and families for future generations who'll live to tell the tale of their parents residing in the once-forested village that they can call home. The one SOLE problem I have with this, is that sexual relations are non-existest in the anime (though there are the obvious subtle hints), and I can understand by making this show PG enough to retain the standard, but it feels like a shame that's not inside.

This is quite a simple show to adapt with so much content available at the seams, so it should not be a problem for studio Zero-G and its in-house director Ryouichi Kuraya, along with his staff team to make the best of the adaptation. And for one, certainly its colourful, but yet childishly playful with the comic book-like animation sequences to make for the fact that this is a show that anyone could pick it up and have a good time with it. It's overall in good heart and I wholeheartedly appreciate it for what it is.

Along with the OST, Ru and Tia's character VA OP song "Flower Ring" has a nice tune to it that sounds just as good, and while Vtuber Hizuki Yui's ED "Feel the winds" matches and compliments the feel-good OP, it has an easter egg that only the sharp viewer will be able to catch: notice that each and every character is holding a flower? The ED has different versions floating around the show with its many characters, and each of them holds a yellow rose, signifying their involvement in The Great Tree Village as symbols of friendship. It's nuances like these which help elevate something even as simple as an ending with the watercolour palette.

Y'know, I wish I can really say that this was at least good. But this was a decent adaptation of the LN, albeit with content that was cut primarily because of TV regulations, and even without it, Isekai Nonbiri Nouka would've been a rather sleeper hit of the season with its simplistic storytelling, enriching characters and a generally overall good atmosphere. It's just decent, that's all I can really say about shows like these. But if you're feeling the pinch, try this show, you will not be disappointed.

This is a wholesome feel good MASTERPIECE. If you have a chronic condition or illness and you like isekai this will especially hit you in the feels.

Main guy who was sick his whole life gets reincarnated into a fantasy world with a healthy body and uses his knowledge from TV in the hospital to live out his farming/homesteading dreams.

The art is beautiful. The shimmer on things, the details of the crops, the character designs and variety, the action scenes, the monsters, everything about this show is top tier.

This show is mostly wholesome slice of life in a fantasy setting with some action sprinkled ... in. You do not have to enjoy slice of life to enjoy this, as long as you love the fantasy elements. Vice versa, you do not need to like fantasy to enjoy the slice of life moments.

There are harem elements with a variety of women who wanna smash the main guy, but the anime is kept extremely PG to the point you don't even see anyone holding hands really (which can get confusing later), and the main guy seems to fear for his safety around these thirsty maidens. If you want a spicier take of this slice of life fantasy- I have heard the manga goes into juicy details.

My favorite element from this isekai, which is something that is excellent and only possible in an isekai, is the knowledge gap between worlds. Many times when you are reincarnated into such a different world there is a lapse in common sense and general knowledge. For example: What are monsters vs pets: Cute doggo, or hellhound? Our main character may never know. Because of his spawn point and his lack of knowledge in the world, he finds unlikely friends and creates an OP village. Yet has no knowledge that it is OP. The world around him freaks out, he has no idea anything is special. Good stuff.

I recommend this anime heavily to anyone who was into cottagecore, homesteading, tradition living, wholesomeness, harems, fantasy, etc. Its a feel good isekai doing the good isekai work.

I was spoiled by farming Slice-of-Life anime that was much better than this excuse of entertainment title. This one has almost nothing, the protag is doing nothing but farming, no crop failures nor is he uninitiated in certain activity, just nothing and he is going nowhere outside the ditch marking the village boundary. In that it reminds me of The Sims 1, in which the game is entirely within a household. No spontaneous contest to break the monotony, no survey of fellow villagers in difficulty, just nothing.

The nothing-burger don't stop there, camera don't even cut to outside of the village until halfway through the series, ... when it did the scene was a token visual confirmation of Quest-Completed screen. No other show is going so token patronizing about its story line, let alone story-line is not something this has. I wonder if the showrunner for this adaptation just "gave up" on this.

SEASONAL ISEKAI, LET'S GO!!! Thanks papa anime, I'll just slurp up the low effort media right now. It's not bad, but it's also not good. The animation is fluid, but zero flash. The character detail is slightly below average, but the backgrounds are good. Characters are likeable, but the same average characters you'd find anywhere else. Little to no depth, but hEy! ThEy GeT uP tO sOmE hIjInKs! The story is... or rather isn't. It just isn't. The story is barren and directionless, but seems pretty consistent at the very least. Pacing is fair, never exciting, but enough to some how keep this show from ... getting boring. Voice acting is bad. It's has average at best casting, but the performances are dead at times and generally uninspiring. The soundtrack is actually good! Unfortunately the op and ed are painfully average and easily forgotten. Overall it's just kind of a average anime. It's chill I guess, but uninspired and underwhelming. Not really worth anyone's time unless they can't find anything to watch or just want to stare blankly into a screen for a little while. 5.10/10

Mold should grow on you watching this show.
What a terrible, bland and pointless show that was. Even for those of us perfectly fine with a slow and peaceful anime, this one could represent a bit of a challenge of sort. The first issue here is that you will learn nothing. There is outrageously and absolutely nothing to learn from this anime - even from its main theme alone - starting at episode 1 till it ends. The second issue is that while you will learn nothing about farming, you will instead learn that you can blatantly reused others shows ideas, and what's more, without making ... anything of it. This ought to be the least creative a show can be.
If you're still bend to watch this show, keep it up. Maybe you could find something to see for yourself that I just couldn't. There are *actually* some good points starting with the soft pace, some good comedic aspect and the solid world around the characters.

But basically, to me this anime ressembles one of the main character's powers : it didn't have to use seeds. Instead, it run with others ideas to grow a tasteless show.

Isekai Nonbiri Nouka was a series I picked up because it seemed laid-back and cozy. And on that front it certainly delivered. While I can’t call it an outstanding series, I have to admit my partner and I enjoyed ourselves just fine with this anime.

This series does not have a particularly original set-up, but at least it’s another notch on the wheel of isekai niches. The premise of Isekai Nonbiri Nouka is simple and if you want to watch something that doesn’t require braincells, it works. It’s just a slice-of-life series with an overpowered main character interested in making a farming community. I am unfamiliar ... with the source material, so perhaps the light novel has more substance.

Either way, the atmosphere is good and delivers on being nice and relaxed. Nothing bad happens and the story doesn’t turn “epic”. All conflicts are avoided due to plot reasons and that seems like a very deliberate choice.

The pacing is a bit quick and sometimes events happen or get resolved so fast that it feels things are left out. Details are glossed over quite often. There isn’t nearly as much time to explore various characters and their relationships as I had hoped, but I suspect the source material does do this. I’m disappointed there were no references to romance or sexual activity at all despite such things being bound to happen considering the situation the main character is in, but at least there were no fanservice shots whatsoever, which I am grateful for. This series is in fact cleaner than most kids’ shows.

Many things in Isekai Nonbiri Nouka happen because the author wants them to happen. There is no logic behind these victories for the main character, they just magically occur. It’s all very easy. But I feel that that’s not really the point of the show. It’s a feel-good kind of show that’s all about escapism. There is nothing wrong with that per se, but as a result I would struggle to call this series anything even remotely resembling a masterpiece. That said, if you go in knowing what to expect it really isn’t so bad.

The voice acting and sound effects are fine. The visuals on the other hand can be a bit simple and cute in a way that screams budget reasons. Backgrounds/environmental shots and shots of produce on the other hand are quite good.

Either way, Isekai Nonbiri Nouka has a good atmosphere and delivers on staying laid-back and cozy. If you need that in your life right now, this anime might be just what you’re looking for.

Very interesting anime to be honest. I wasn't expecting much but it was a great anime with a gripping and funny story. The family that the MC surrounds himself with are all very unique and a joy to watch I found myself laughing at how terrified everyone was when learning who was occupying the village. Would have been nice to see the gods more as they have one scene at the beginning of episode 1 and then again at the end of another episode but only briefly which was a shame as it was rather enjoyable.

The world progression was a great touch the scenes where ... they showed the before and after everyone had migrated to the village was nice and to be able to watch as the farms and buildings get built definitely helped with the immersion.

Would love to see another season definitely after the last episode of season 1!

Stumbled upon this anime by a chance but god do i love it,this is the type of anime that u dont expect anything serious just like chill enjoyable show about some nice farming expanding the farm and work around it,the anime really sets me in some chill vibe and i really recommend it if somebody wants some relaxing anime when they are bored because its really fun to watch the progress of everything in this anime.the story is and isnt unique it has classic iskeai theme,but in a very different theme,nice art style fitting to the stroy,there is this loud angel,hate her voice but others ... are really nice,i especially like the spider,the mc is pretty op but its only for farm so it doesnt ruin the story,and i think the characters didnt react in a realistic way,they just accepted to live with somebody they barely know but its very chill nonserious anime so its understandable.

I give it Cozy/10.
It's not the next big anime or something. Just a farm, a dumb & honest mc, cute girls and village building. It delivers on what it sets out to do,
If you are looking for a cozy farming anime with some cool fights that doesn't take itself too seriously, you are in luck.
Beware though, like I said mc is dense, like a cardboard cut-in. Easy to place yourself in his shoes but it's not the anime if you are looking for an mc with personality.
Except for that stupid smile. That dumb smile is all the mc's about and I love that.
