This is what peak storytelling meet peak adaptation looks like, and I’m glad to be able to witness it. Thank you Isayama, Hayashi, and MAPPA staff.

Attack on Titan The Final Season Part 3 adapts chapters 131-134 of the manga into a 1-hour movie special, and it sure feels like one.

Story 10/10
This part contains what many considered the best chapter in the manga (chapter 131) which shows the absolute true despair of the rumbling and Eren’s true motivation. And It was adapted to perfection, with many anime original scenes to give more context to the situation.

You know you are a once-in-a-generation writer if you’re able ...

This review focuses on the entire series in a honest and constructive manner.

But where exactly did it all go wrong? Maybe when Eren was revealed to be a titan? During the battle of Wall Rose? Post-timeskip content maybe? The correct answer is all of these.

Attack on Titan was never really skilled at its writing, the characters are hideous with often lacklustre development. I won't deny the potential of creating memorable characters who might be remembered in history for who they are, but instead the only reason they're popular is their origin. Not to mention the bland collection of tropes and inconsistent themes and constant ...

Hajime Isayama, I have no doubt that he is a philosopher with a deep view of reality and human history, and he embodied that view in his work, as well as his knowledge of some cultures and details of our world
Isayama did not tire himself with making a world and maps for his work, but rather he made only the walls because he has a realistic view and a little bit of Far fantasy, or this is what we saw in his work, and Isayama is distinguished by his ability to stir up controversy and make the followers divide into sections, just as he did, ...

Isayama initially penned the first 124 chapters of "Attack on Titan" as the epitome of peak fiction, captivating fans with its exceptional storytelling. However, as the story progressed, he seemed to take a different creative path, veering away from the axis of good writing.

The ending he delivered left many, including die-hard fans like me who had held the anime in the highest esteem, feeling a sense of betrayal, disappointment, embarrassment, and even sadness. It was disheartening to witness the butchering of something so remarkable, where every aspect of its brilliance was systematically dismantled, rendering it all meaningless.

Im not just an anime viewer; I started reading ...

As the final credits rolled on the last episode of Attack on Titan, it felt as if I were parting with a piece of myself, a fragment of my very soul that grew in tandem with the lives of Eren, Armin, and Mikasa. For a decade, this wasn’t just an anime; it was a companion through my own metamorphosis, a mirror reflecting the tumultuous journey of coming of age.

Hajime Isayama, you didn’t just create a world; you set a colossal narrative in motion that trampled the boundaries of imagination and expectation. I walked alongside these characters, my footsteps echoing in sync with theirs, through every ...

It was a masterpiece, the animation quality, the plot, musics everything 💯 you am an anime only and I can clearly say that 1 hour just flew in seconds. I am so glad that they didn't make us wait episode every week because even one hour felt like a few minutes, I can't imagine it being less. Also the music SIM made for it didn't disappoint. I feel like it worths to wait until this point if you're also an anime only just go for it and witnesses how this masterpiece comes to an end. The real final final part scheduled for fall 2023 so ...

What a "HELL" of an episode. An hour of nothing but carnage and despair. This is the most anticipated and considered the best episode of AOT according to the fans that is, and i can presume everyone can vouch too since it's currently my favorite episode in television history. The animation is on point and a sight to behold, MAPPAs close up shots and colossal titan CGI as usual is outright magnificent, and the adaptation elevated some scenes that i liked in the manga to an unprecedented height especially Hange's sacrifice and Eren's breakdown which made me adore it more than ever.

Aside from Hange's ...

The greatest piece of fiction to ever exist. Honestly, I was worried but then MAPPA animators were like nah homie we ain't letting you down. They animated everything perfectly panel by panel, blending 2D and 3D perfectly to give us this masterpiece. The art style was perfect and captured everything Isayama sensei drew on his manga, and the voice acting sheesh, they all nailed it, capturing the emotions of the characters they voiced perfectly. Now I am way more excited to witness the last few chapters animated at this capacity and I soo can't wait for Fall 2023 to get here any faster. Thank you ...

Art, animation, music are all fine to great. Story is kinda garbo. To avoid spoilers, genocide is viewed as both something that has to happen, and is a sad event for the one doing it. Characters' pasts are glossed over in favor of having a cohesive "hero" team, and somehow still the worst part is the ever increasing lore around Ymir and the Titans.

If you've been enjoying the direction that AoT has been going with a greater focus on magic and fate then chances are decent you'll enjoy this season as well (though god knows the manga readers didn't appreciate the ending). If you enjoyed ...

Attack on Titan had so many theories and mysteries on what the story wants to tell, and whilst thinking back watching the first seasons I daresay nobody thought of that time that this is going to be the closure of all the threads over the long pull.

Regardless of the understanding on how the series plot moved onwards Season three. At which point things were still unclear for the most part. You could have pictured the most sophisticated plot and the best show ever that to come. Yet, the way I imagined it was definitely way bigger and much more brighter than how boring and ...

I struggle to collect my thoughts, having just finished the final episode. I'm still confused on how exactly I feel and why. I have championed Attack on Titan as a modern masterpiece ever since Season 3, and even knowing the ending was incredibly divisive, I welcomed it with open arms, putting my full faith in Isayama-san. Ending a story in a way that is not only good, but pleases EVERYBODY is nearly impossible. But at the very least, a DECENT ending would have been an acceptable way to cap off this incredible story.

Unfortunately, the only word that fits is disappointing. I've tried writing out ...

I've never been a huge fan of Shingeki no Kyojin but for the first few seasons, I admit it was unique. It had enjoyment value. It had an interesting story, well balanced pacing and it would leave you wondering about the next episodes. Now it doesn't have any of those qualities and it just keeps getting worse and worse. The art design, animations, and music are still top-notch quality, even getting better and better in contrast to the overall series. But what happened to that intriguing story and the storytelling?

Since when did Shingeki no Kyojin turn into a classic superhero story that we had ...

Shingeki no Kyojin, no matter if you hate it or if you love it, is definitely one of the most popular anime ever made. The first time it dropped it was an instant hit, being beautifully animated by Wit Studio and with the great directing of Tetsurou Araki, you could see that the people watching it were passionate about and it and even better the people working on it were too. Sadly, there was a studio change because Wit couldn't keep up with the schedule and the man behind the original story Hajime Isayama obviously didn't know how to have the story keep a momentum, ...

Okay, as a person who read the ending the of manga first, I believe this was a bit better than what I was expecting. That is not to say it was what I wanted to see. In both this and the manga the ending of aot felt rushed, granted this feels version explains more on Ymir, Eren, and Mikasa interactions. The anime additions make the pace feel slow, extremely slow. AOT is a slightly above average story after you read/watch it, but as you are progressing through it for the first time it's a masterpiece. This is from the large amount of information not exposed ...

Attack on Titan The Final Season Part 3 completely and utterly blew my expectations out of the water. It yet again proves why it is the greatest piece of fiction of all time. This is the absolute pinnacle of peak fiction. Nothing across all forms of media will come remotely close to being in the same stratosphere as this masterpiece. Masterful storytelling and is unequivocally the most exceptional piece of literature I or anyone will ever come across.

The story picks up with the highly regarded “Rumbling” Chapter 131, and is an awe-inspiring, gut-wrenching and highly emotional passage that reflects the brutalities and nuances of the ...

Wow it's over. I truly do not understand the hatred people had for this ending, without going into spoilers I absolutely think this series could not have ended up any other way. A perfectly bittersweet end to an incredibly dark and expansive story, I believe that everything in this finale carried on well from what preceded it and even if I knew deep down what was going to happen I still wasn't fully prepared for it and it still really impacted me. I still remember watching every season from s2 onwards as it aired and I cannot believe this story has finally concluded, what an ...

Since it's release Attack on Titan has deliver great story-telling and world-building. The first couple of seasons were much like a comedy survivalesc type of story. However, by the latest seasons it has transformed into a military internacional genocide. The story kept expanding and expanding, and it's fun to look back at certain episode and think: "That character did this because of this other thing that will happen", that's the sign of a good structured story and AoT has it.
About the movie, it's an hour long episode which adapts a couple of manga chapters and sets a continuation in "Attack on Titan: The final season: ...

Kind of a let down.
What worked for this show was the spectacle, having genuinely entertaining twists and it seeming like it would have something insightful to say eventually--ultimately it didn’t. In some ways maybe it tried to have elements of something like Evangelion’s avant-garde ending, and again lacked the actual emotional insight that had.

The fighting lacked stakes and just felt empty like a bland blockbuster's climactic battle where more enemies supposedly makes it better. The addition of the political conspiracy stuff in season two did end up working by season three, but it’s gotta have the dark fantasy tragedy action to go with ...

Finally this disaster is over
Good ideas, an interesting plot, ruined by a bad development of characters, a protagonist ruined by the author, and a conclusion that doesn't close the plots but raises more doubts.
It was worth it? Is it justified to approve a work if in general it was good and the ending is a disaster? No. The ending is the cherry on the dessert. It's what closes all the plots. It's the light at the end of the tunnel. If after the best banquet they feed me shit, i'm not going to give the restaurant a five.
Shingeki no Kyojin was just that. A ...
