We’ve done it. We’ve peaked. This is the culmination of 70+ years of Japanese animation. It doesn’t get better than this. Mahoako is the crowning achievement of anime. Combine two of the best things ever made, the Mahou Shoujo genre and BDSM erotica and you’ve got Mahoako. A sensual, but surprisingly wholesome experience that lures you with fan service and keeps you with the loveable cast and slice of life moments.

While it might not have had the motion that Frieren and Kusuriya had, Mahoako was a force to be reckoned with in its own right. Delivering banger after banger episode, solid animation and ... levels of degeneracy that I didn’t even think were possible in a TV anime, this show was simply amazing. I was a fan of the manga coming into it, but they took that and elevated the source material to new heights, adding in anime original scenes and getting a fantastic cast of seiyuus to do this one.

Contrary to popular belief, *cough cough* Anime News Network, this isn’t a “pedobait anime.” For one, they’re not real people. For two, that’s minimising an actually really well written cast. Yes, there’s a lot of erotic content with the girls, but there’s actually a whole lot more to the story than that. Mahoako is as much a story of sexual exploration and liberation and cute girls doing cute things as it is an erotica fan service anime. Utena, the MC starts out as a shy reserved girl with no friends or outlet to express herself emotionally. After becoming Magia Baiser we see her gradually evolve and gain the confidence to be herself around other people. Baiser is very much the personification of Utena’s repressed sexual urges and personality. When transformed, she’s able to be herself and act on her fantasies without fear of being judged. Through the “tortures” that she inflicts on the Tres Magia, we get insight into her deepest desires and fears. The biggest desire of which being control, Utena desires to have some form of control over her life. Up until gaining her powers, she was kind of a passenger in her own life. Now she has the ability to be an active force and take things into her own hands. Without getting into too much detail, we also see the other enormita members who get introduced doing the same things. Their transformed selves represent their deepest desires and their ideal versions of themselves. While we see the erotica content and get excited, and it is good don’t get me wrong, it’s not just about titties and spankings. There is an actual significance to the methods used in the tortures and it usually has the effect of bringing the characters closer. Just like a real BDSM relationship can.

I could really go into way more detail about the psychological aspects of this series and how much deeper it is, but the gist I want to get across is that this is not just a erotica and horny show. There’s actual reasoning for why the characters engage in the behaviour, so don’t just let the tags put you off.

Speaking of characters, the cast in this is amazing. It’s got so many diverse personalities and motivations. What the story really excels at is the normal slice of life moments between them all. Honestly, as the season went on, I was more excited to just see Utena, Kiwi and Korisu hang out and do stupid stuff together. Likewise for the Tres Magia trio. During these moments we get nice glimpses into the insecurities of the characters and learn just what it is they want out of life. The series balances the fanservice with those moments so well, not overwhelming with one or the other.

The animation ranges from solid to really good in the show. Fight scenes are well done and of course the erotica moments are incredible, especially in the uncensored version. I actually like the anime art better than the manga art as the manga is censored, so rare case when an erotica anime is better than the source.

This being one of the best anime ever made isn’t a joke. It genuinely is. It’s equal parts arousing as it is wholesome and calming. It knows what it is, doesn’t shy away from it and fully embraces it. Something that’s become a lost art in these days. One of the best female casts and probably my 2nd fave Mahou Shoujo story.

Mahoako gets a very easy 10, out of 10

Magical girl have been around for a long time and it obviously has grown a lot of audience from kids to adult but then again, it always intended for kids so the story is obviously gonna be pretty basic ,straight forward and end happily MOST of the time, so some adult decide to make a more adult oriented magical girl with more deep plot and darker conotation like "Nanoha" or "revolutionary girl utena" and this genre of magical girl peak with mahou shoujo madoka magica back in 2011 and it's been years since we got another adult magical anime without it being super edgy and ... desperately dark and the wait is getting tiring , which bring us to this anime, another magical girl show that aimed at adult or late teenager and after a watching some episodes and doing a few research on the web manga i can safely say...that we have to wait longer cause this anime going full lesbian "porn"

The ecchi in this anime is 100% straight forward and blunt,no light hearted tease or that "normal thing done in suspicious manner" kind of stuff, this stuff is one inch away from being put in the RX rating.

Plot ? Don't worry about it,the plot is thinner than Utena's breast pad, it's only there to provide the situation so utena can have reasons to be a sadictic pervert and tortured the dignity out of all the magical girls.

The animation is smooth and truly radiate that "magical girl" and watching this anime "uncensored" is like a religious experience,if you ever see that sexy magical girl transformation sequence and think to yourself "if only they shown this,if only they shown that" don't worry,they show it all, sometimes even more than you expect.

The main character is personally my favorite of this season,it truly captures the "most innocent looking person is usually the most perverted" stereotype very well,she also perfectly potray how porn addiction is,at first she's shy and keep saying"no,this is wrong,im doing something bad,it disgust me" to "imma do some more devious things to these btches *evil laugh*".

Overall, this is not an anime for magical girl's fans that happen to like ecchi but more for ecchi fans that happen to like magical girl so for anyone interested,go ahead and give it a try and receive a perk of seeing "perky" things

This anime was pure art. I found myself watching it after hearing the premise and liking it. Girl that loves magical girls is finally granted powers but she ends up a witch, a good setup for wacky hijinks and a good time. I was warned it was down bad but holy shit did that not prepare me for what was about to happen.

In the first minute you get exposed to full frontal nudity and it goes so much deeper than that. Every episode a new fetish or two is proudly displayed in what i can only explain as the total dissolution of the line between ... anime and hentai. I found myself unable to look away in a way i havent since eromanga sensei.

Animation was serviceable, the music was mid, the plot was surprisingly okayish and the fights were, well, basically porn.

10/10 dont watch it

Ok, let's get this out of the way first. This is an anime which borders on hentai, so if that bothers you then this is not for you.

Now then, what makes this so great? Not the plot, this is more or less a typical Mahou Shoujo, there is a (probably evil) plushie which gives girls powers, the animation is fine, not amazing not terrible, and the characters are mid as well.

BUT the MC is just so good, she is just evil, there is no real motivation, no tragic past, no desire to protect, no goal to achieve, no force majeure. She is just a girl ... with an unhealthy obsession with magical girls, and an insane obsession with trampling the purity and bravery of these heroines.

Utena is my ideal kind of villain, one who is evil because they feel like it, who has an obsession with aesthetics, who is fine with dying and losing if it fits their obsession, and tossing away everything that does not.

It's just so good to see an MC who is just evil. Utena is just insane and evil, that's all, that is what makes this show great.

Let's get this out of the way first. Whether you like Mahou Shoujo ni Akogarete or not ultimately depends on one thing: whether you can tolerate the characters being 14 or not. If you are NOT comfortable with them being underage, this is not a show for you. There's nothing wrong with that, but I'm saying this upfront as it's the most contentious part of the show.

For those of you who are okay with it: you're in for one heck of a ride.

MahouAko's anime adaptation is a mixed bag, speaking as a manga reader. Let's go over the bad points first:

- The story is ... nothing groundbreaking, nor is the premise innovative. It's an ecchi centered around magical girls, and while it does explore topics like sexual awakening, it's still an ecchi at its core. There's a caveat to this, but don't expect anything profound.
- The animation is lackluster more often than not. The art style also has a hard time emulating the manga due to the latter's top-notch use of shading.
- The characters are hit or miss. Personally I like all of them, but I can easily see some of them coming across as annoying to some. YMMV.
- The soundtrack is forgettable, though the OP and ED are quite decent.

If you want a riveting narrative or high quality animation, MahouAko isn't a good choice. However, it possses a lot of redeeming qualities:

- The story is well-written. It may not be innovative, but it makes up for that by being consistent. I'm not just talking the general tone, I mean this across the board. Plot developments are meaningfully addressed and are amplified through continuity. Characters experience meaningful arcs and their relationships naturally progress (at a swift rate, at that). The worldbuilding is straightforward, but that also makes it easy to understand.
Most importantly, though:
- The characters are not one-dimensional. Thank god, an ecchi that doesn't forget that its characters are people. Most members of the cast, even minor characters, are filled with personality. Utena is a shy introvert in one moment, a and a sadistic magical girl simp in the next. I do not say this lightly: she's Bocchi, but a closet perv. Where Utena really shines though is in how she comes into her own. As time passes, her dominant side grows more assertive while her shy side opens up. It's not a complete transformation, but there's a clear shift from start to finish. Kiwi is confrontational and possessive, but doesn't overplay her hand. Korisu is quiet and timid, but is also the most expressive of the bunch. On the whole, I'm satisfied with how characters are handled. They play off each other well, they manage to stand on their own, and they each posssess some loveable quirks. They're not the most nuanced characters in the world, but they're quite solid for an ecchi.
- This show has many flavors, both in terms of kinks and genres. Genre-wise, it balances a lot of themes be it CGDCT, Ecchi, Yuri, and Seinen. It flips between these as the story demands, but all of them are decently handled. The Seinen aspect struggles the most, but it doesn't detract from the rest of the show. Kink-wise...suffice to say that it manages to tick a lot of boxes. On average, viewers should have at least one kink that the show tackles, but again YMMV.
- The ecchi is bold, to the point where you'll sometimes question how even a censored version of the show aired. I can't go into spoilers, but when I say bold, I mean stuff you only see in hentai. To put this into perspective, the producer admitted to recieving complaints from the broadcasting staff for this exact reason. It really manages to push the limit, especially towards the end of the season.
- The show is funny, though I can't put a finger on why. Maybe it's the payoff and continuity. The iterative gags, the goofy shots...it doesn't go as hard as Bocchi, but the same spirit is generally there.
- The voice acting is quite good, ESPECIALLY from Fuuka Izumi. This is only Fuuka's second role on MAL, yet she absolutely kills it as Utena. She captures both sides of her personality well while rivaling Yoshino Aoyama's (i.e. Bocchi) level of expressiveness. This is a rookie with natural talent, so you'll definitely see her again. Beyond that, Aoi Koga works her Paimon magic as Kiwi while Yuuka Aisaka nails Loco. I'll also shout out Misaki Ikeda for her colorful work as Kaoruko. All in all, a great voice cast.

In summary: this is an ecchi that understands what it is and where it's going. It thrives in lewds and memes, but supports this through continuity and character development. Payoff is generally earned, comedic moments stick the landing, and the voice actors have a lot of fun. It's a lot like Blue Archive where if you can put aside the characters' age, the shenanigans are a load of fun. I can honestly call it a good show, though one with a specific target audience.

As for comparisons between the anime and manga: the anime is largely faithful, with some swaps and tweaks here and there. It struggles to match the manga's paneling (which plays a lot into the seinen appeal), but makes up for it by doubling down on lewder moments. I fully recommend the manga, especially for those who'd prefer a more serious version. Both the anime and manga are quite good though, so choose whichever you prefer.

Mahou Shoujo ni Akogarete is a 7/10. It's certainly not for everyone, but it possses its own appeal while being surprisingly competent with its characters. Watch it to have fun, and remember: it's only fiction.

If you like ecchi, tentacles, yuri, BDSM theme with addition of tons of cuteness and joke then this is definitely for you. Period.

The correct title is "I Admire Magical Girls, and... I want to abuse them in various ways sexually"

The first episode is a clever design: it shows you jokes, full-blown nudity, and ecchi. This filters out those who expect Madoka Magica, Precure, Sailor Moon type of Magical Girls to drop this anime immediately, and the rest who are interested will keep going. So I suggest you take a quick look at 1st ep and if you decide to continue watching then I have a ... message for you: "Ah, I see you're a man of culture as well".

The voice, OP & ED, transition, and the music are all well made. It is excellent and successful adaptation. I have read the manga and the anime is way much interesting so far. This anime has a mild nudity (with exposed nipples) and beyond (much improvisation) compared to its manga. This anime "magically" turns the average girl Ute... sorry, I mean average manga into masterpiece.

Now about the characters (spoiler-free):
- Hiiragi "Baiser" Utena: the most interesting MC girl. Innocent-looking when not in transform mode. But when transformed: her body, her face, her costume, her voice are all erotic. It is perfectly matched with French word "Baiser" that means "Kiss" in sexual way. The surprising thing is this VA Fuuka Izumi is a newcomer and it is her first role fulfilling as main character and she does an incredible job for doing this hard role (erotic voice). Her voice is so erotic that KADOKAWA anime publishes special 20-min ASMR episode of her whispering on your ears.

- Araga "Leopard" Kiwi: She is the reason why this anime has Girls Love (yuri) theme. She is the bitchy girl type. The character design and personality might not be interesting but her VA Aoi Koga (same VA as Kaguya-sama, Paimon) makes her very cute and interesting.

- Morino "Neroalice" Korisu: Not much to say about her. She doesn't talk. But thank god the anime did not lewd her otherwise people who are watching this will be "visited" by FBI. Just beware she has a weird fetish, so weird even for H-mania like me.

- Tenkawa "Sulfur" Kaoruko: the most interesting personality in Tres Magia. She is the cutest, and cleverest girl of the three Magical Girls. Her talking is very cute with her Kansai-Kyoto dialect. Ikeda Misaki, her VA is a newcomer and born in Kyoto, so her accent is natural. Kaoruko talks politely while offending the enemy at the same time. Her smile is very beautiful and deep in meaning. Just don't make her angry or...

- Hanabishi "Magenta" Haruka: the most gullible girl in Tres Magia. Pinky, pure, and cute in appearance. She is very nice to all people and the dumbest to the point of always falling into trap and believing everything enemy said. She is a stereotypical magical girl like you see often in other magical girls anime. She is doing the introduction stuff before battle with Enormita. Has average body size. She puts friendship above everything else. Filled her VA by Kaori Maeda. She started her debut as VA in 2016, her notable works are Nice Nature (Uma Musume), Lexia Von Alceria (Isekai Cheat Skill) and Kanaho Kon (Assault Lily).

Minakami "Azure" Sayo: your typical "Warrior of Justice" or kind of Samurai Girl personality. Has very mature body (but not so mature personality). Filled with a newcomer VA Mayuko Kazama.

The anime staffs did a great job in selecting the VAs for this anime including several newcomers that do great job. The staffs also improved some of plain scenes in manga into a more interesting one. The staffs really added creativity from the manga, not just an exact per-scene as you often see in most anime adaptations.

This is one of the best ecchi animes so far in my experience. The anime is repeatable and still fun even you already watch it several times.

Best anime i've ever watched. Im giving it a rating of 9 out 10 mainly because I get hard every episode. I highly recommend it.

Must watch! Dont waste your time, go asap and watch it. Dont you even think about skipping this masterpiece. Also the mal score is false because in my opinion it deserves at least 8.5 but majority of people dont understand this splendid work.

At first it just was "meh" to me and I almost quit after 3 episodes. Yet something drew me back in and I really had fun with episode 4 and 5.

Episode 6... Well, I survived that and thank god I did because in episode 7 the plot kicks in and totally won me over. I will 100% watch this and want a season 2 aswell. This is great fun and Utena is just awesome!


The artstyle is very nice, the voiceacting (Utena♥️) is top notch and adds to the quality of the anime.

The theme song is so darn catchy and upbeat, I can't help but start ... smiling.

Still surprises me to this day, that a show like this can get an anime, as it really stretches the line of what is an anime, or what is direct 'hen' I say this, as one who has read the manga of this series, and seeing the reactions, sitting there and cringing like 'Mmmm, you haven't seen nothing yet LOL.' But what makes the show enjoyable, is for a different number of reasons, of which I will explain.

Story and characters: 8
The characters, the more you dive into them, are one of the core reasons as to why this show can be good. As lets face ... it, a show can be as hardcore as it wants to be, or it can be in a particular field. But if the characters are as boring as dishwater, then your story isn't gonna hit high marks, as none would really care about it's contents. None are gonna watch the million common isekai, if the protag is just a carbon copy of another, with zero interest. Not to say these characters we are presented with in this show are top tier, and super interesting. But they're certainly far from common trash.

Take Utena for example. She could've just been a usual trope within her character, but as the show progresses, you'll see more of her character grow and expand. Which will drive the interest futher. The development of the cast is what makes it stand on its toes, and the more it expands, the more good it will come. Not to mention the same could be said regarding other cast members, they're not here for shock value, there is a story behind them, and we'll learn more about them as we go along.

As for the story itself, well, it's different.

One of the key reasons I took interest in this series, is that it's a different kind of genre. You could see a dozen of magical girl shows, but where can you see one, where we're following the VILLAIN of the story?? To me, that's a nice change from the regular formula. Not that other shows don't have high interest on their bad guys, but with how this show is presented, it adds in interest value from that perspective.

Art and sound: 8
Here is another example of where the show truly shines. The art direction, and sound department, do an amazing job in really presenting how it looks, and how it sounds. With how it's coloured and presented, like you'll see an actual thought and care given to it's contents, to make it really stand out. Making it seem as if it's not just here for the risky content, the people behind this really wanted to make it look, and sound good too. Which only gives more pluses to the anime itself.

Would I rate this show highly due to my bias? Yes. Would I call it risky, and understand it's not for everyone? Yes. But what it is, is a fun product, that I'm sure, will cause problems, but for those who enjoy it, will have a blast.

MahoAko demonstrates one of my favorite aspects of the Japanese anime industry.
Japan doesn't care how absurd, sexual, or otherwise niche a piece of media is, they take it seriously. Both in terms of tone(even jokes are played straight, characters don't look at the camera and roll their eyes) and in terms of effort on the part of the production. It is for this reason that despite how "borderline hentai" this show is, it really shines in other areas as well.

I found myself pulled in by the characters and their interactions, the writing, hell, even the sound design. There is a great deal of love and ... care put into nearly every aspect of the show and you can really feel it. If you're about to dismiss this anime thinking that sex appeal is the only saving grace of the show, I urge you to give it a try. I can't remember the last time I watched an anime that was so unapologetically fun and easily engrossing.

Our main character is Utena, a gloomy, shy girl who has a deep love for magical girls, but ends up being coerced into fighting them. While initially unwilling and hesitant, she quickly learns that she enjoys toying with magical girls and embraces her new role.
Utena is a great character and it's honestly a joy to watch her go. You can tell she is having a blast.
All of the characters essentially have two identities(one normal, one magical) and they don't recognize each other unless they've seen them transform, so we get to watch to their interactions in normal life and during battles.
Characters tend to have different relationships in and out of normal life and it's fun to see the juxtaposition between the two.

Overall, If you are on the fence, I would recommend giving the show a try, it might surprise you.

So watching this obviously I realize its super ecchi maybe more than that, but honestly I'm dying of laughter these past 3 episodes. I think if I wasn't able to find some humor and it was just pure ecchi I don't know if i'd be able to stay. The characters are all pretty funny and our MC is honestly hilarious lol.

Don't expect much out of this anime, or maybe do idk. Just realize going in the PLOT is there for sure :) . Would 10/10 rec watching this high it'll make the humor so much more dumb and funny.

I gave this series a chance and have reluctantly watched all episodes and read all manga chapters.

This is one of those series that is basically porn for porn lovers, not for anything else other than to sell sex by disguising it as a girls-love and a magical girl action show. It’s really not, nor is it anything different from the many other magical girl/fantasy ecchi series. It is one of many series that is blatant commercialized bullshit with little substance that uses yuri just to bring in the money. Before you watch it, understand that it is low budget softcore ... ecchi porn and a magical girl parody with the occasional laugh. It’s not wholesome. It’s not very funny. It is more of a long commercial/meme than anything. Also keep in mind that the entire show involves the explicit sexualization, subtextual rape and molestation of the characters, including two loli characters. That’s not the reason behind this review, but something the casual viewer should know. It’s not “a little here and there”, it’s the whole show. Whether you’re into BDSM, loli, rape, molestation, tentacle play, ect, this series probably has something that would interest you…for a moment. But, the fetish slapstick stuff gets old very quick. Now, I’m not passing judgement if you are watching this series just for that reason. There are just better ecchi and comedy series out there. Also, if you like magical girls, I cannot recommend this. It’s not a magical girl anime with ecchi, it is an ecchi with magical girls.

STORY: Plot in the anime is almost nonexistent. Plot in the manga is decent, but after many chapters of fetish nonsense, you forget about it. There is some lore (in the manga) and the characters develop some, but nothing extraordinary. Each episode has relatively the same pattern. No, the series is not unique. No, it is not a good representation of sexual awakenings or BDSM play. No, it is not a good example of yuri.

CHARACTERS: The main character, Utena, is simply unlikable. She’s ugly. She’s mean. She’s obnoxiously meek in her civilian form. She is one of those “lead protagonist but the bad guy” characters, but really never becomes likable as she constantly does off-putting things even to her allies. Every time she does something that redeems herself and she grows from it, I am left disappointed the next time. MC should be likable, not some ugly creep otaku. As for yuri, this series is a slap in the face to it, as mentioned. The relationships are very shallow, and are put in only to fetishize girls’ love. Even in the manga, the relationships are so dull and never develop, except for when it calls for porn. One character loves the main character very much, and the MC just plays with her feelings and leads her on with her insecurities. It is frustrating. As for the other characters, they are mostly cliches and nothing really stands out about them.

ART: The art in the anime is significantly watered down from the manga. Almost every frame is a cheap redraw of the manga pages. The anime art style is frankly ugly and dull. Most characters have boring, lifeless eyes. Utena is particularly ugly with a wide mouth and rounded bob. Animation is poor, as it mostly consists of bad redraws of the manga, and many still images – even lazy AI backgrounds in some shots. Transformations were so underwhelming. I understand that story and art is usually rushed and watered down in anime, but this adaptation is exceptionally poor and disappointing. As for the soundtrack, it has a the generic visual kei pop rock sound that is like every other average theme song. For most of the voice actresses, this is their very first role, and they did great, it’s just too bad that this had to be their break into the industry. Might as well be a phone sex operator.

Overall, this is just another cheap attention-seeking anime that pops up, then quickly overstays its welcome. The characters and schtick get old so fast, it’s not memorable, and the pacing of the actual side stories are just so slowed down by all the crap. This series could be so much more than that “lewd magical girl parody”, and I kept giving it a chance, but it just keeps leaving a bad taste that the lighthearted jokes can’t distract from. Most of all, the animation and art is so terrible that it really couldn’t bring the battle action scenes or characters to life at all. If this series was adapted by a better studio, it could have been so much better animation wise. Then again, it would still be just a porno.

If I can say one good thing about this anime, is that they did a good job advertising it. They seem to have put all of the small budget towards the hype and lewd (which was also disappointing). They tried to make up for it by parading the fact that it is uncensored unlike the manga (as if we’ve never seen nips before), and having two ecchi directors going all out, but it really couldn’t cover the apparent low budget. I understand that sex sells, but did they really have to make it so obvious? This anime has to be the most prime example of the commercialization to shell out cheap merch that is keeping the industry in the garbage.

There are many questions that have plagued mankind for an uncomfortably prolonged period of time. Who are we, where do we stem from, whither will we fly, who steals the footwear every Tuesday from the Temple, and how on earth does every season a Hentai or two is quietly passed off as an Anime?

Plot: I don't care what anybody else says, this is just a softcore S/M, BDSM play hentai, and not even properly disguised as an Anime. But seriously, if the plot is anything to go by right now, nobody should be surprised if just like Madoka Magica this ends up reshaping the magical ... girl Anime trope forever (for best or worst, I leave that to to your colourful imagination ladies and gentlemen)

Characters: Heh, what characters, what's even the point of knowing about them, or is there!

Animation: Well colour me surprised that the culture studio is active this season, and they are not animating this. For the kind of thing it is, it has surprisingly good and fluent animation.

Music: Does the job decently.

Enjoyment: This is obviously not for everyone, kids over 18 are strictly prohibited from watching this, lest you seek to scout yourself as a particularly titillating part of some sort of list. Jokes apart, this hen...ahm, thing probably will be subject of most memes this time around.

It's not every day you come across a piece of media so inspired, so transcendent, that you're left awestruck.

In a dark sea of edginess and filth, Gushing stands as a shining beacon of wholesomeness and fun in the ecchi world. Only once in a generation does humanity get an author who can so masterfully elevate a genre to a higher paradigm of artistry, the way Akihiro Ononaka has done here. The heart of this show is an idea so pure and simple, it rivals the discovery of fire itself. A Saturday morning cartoon, but instead of monster of the week, it's fetish of the week. ...

That alone would be enough to make this masterwork an instant classic, and yet it gets even better as you discover the profound story-telling and thought-provoking characters. The emotional journey of Utena, the Hero of the story, is as captivating as it is relatable. Her conviction to achieve her desires is an inspiration, and the boundless love she has for those around her is heart-warming.

There is no need for me to tell you that this show is a gift from heaven, as that is plainly obvious. But I will leave you with one piece of sage wisdom. I hear the ultra-gushing version is gonna have extra moaning.

A peak of magical girl genre. Thanks to all gods we have uncensored version (boobs are drawn as god intended). If you ever wanted to watch something exciting and beautiful this is it.

The fall of protagonist, the way she is conscripted, blackmailed and nudged to the "dark side" - perfection. This is The Art.

As they say you don't need a story for porn but there should be one. It is not much different for ecchi/erotic works. Requirement for ecchi story are somewhat higher and author certainly deliver it. He have minimum focus on unnecessary stuff - why the girls fight and what exactly this ... evil organization want. It focused on the MC discovery of her desire and fetishes. Important stuff. So far this is one of the best works that exist ( only "healer" guy with a kink for revenge is higher for me in rating for the best work) in ecchi genre.

We have here everything: good story, good angles, good art, good animation, etc.

Oohh boy.. this one was a doozy. It's one of those animes that really, truly blur the lines between what is considered an anime and what can be considered a hentai. Now, while I might've given this a "Mixed Feelings" regarding on whether I'd recommend this to people or not, I want to preface this first by saying that I gave this an 8/10 rating. The reason why it's a "Mixed Feeling" is pretty much already obvious.

People who are used to the usual tropes of anime aren't gonna mind this anime and its antiques. It knows what it's doing and it does it very well. ... It doesn't pretend to be anything more than a "fun with ecchi" anime (although surprisingly if you dig deeper, there are recurring themes that stay true to the characters' motivations, which I commend this anime's story for doing, and doing it subtly). If you want to watch this anime, then free your mind and just enjoy the wild ride. If I were to put it in shorter, simpler words, then I'd say that this anime is NSFWA: Not Safe for Western Audience.

Now, I'd like to talk about what this anime does very well, which is how good of an ecchi anime it is. While blurring the lines between Anime and H, it doesn't hold back. When you want to create an ecchi anime, you have to be ready to commit to it. The studio responsible for Mahou Shoujo ni Akogarete seems to understand this. They don't hold back on the ecchi at all, which is what I meant when I said that it "knows what it's doing and it does it very well". When you see "ecchi" on the tag of anime, of course it's natural to expect that it'd be filled with fanservice and perverted jokes right? Most (note: most, not all) ecchi animes don't have a deep plot or storyline, but rather simply exist for the fun of being ecchi. Mahou Shoujo ni Akogarete falls under that category, and I love that they stick with it to the end. When I want to watch ecchi, I want to see exactly that, and this anime delivered spectacularly.

Talking about the technical parts, while I praised this anime for being a good ecchi, unfortunately it's potential is held back a bit by its animation. It's not bad by any means, but it could use a little more polish. It does a lot of panning, which is unfortunate because action scenes can't shine as well as they should. Sound design is pretty good though, and personally I like the music, especially the ED sung by our protagonist group of villains.

Overall, if you're looking for a good ecchi, this anime is it. It's one of the most well done ecchi anime of the past years. Otherwise, don't watch if you're gonna complain that it's "disgusting" or if you're against fanservice. It just makes you a tourist.

If you are looking for ECCHI anime. And I mean, let me stress that: "you are going out of your way" to find some horny sh*t, and have a laugh at the expense of the plots (ikwydt) and the suffering of the character, and you are not an easily offended individual, there is literally nothing - I repeat... NOTHING - in the same league as this anime in the previous season when it comes to deviancy, depravity, degeneracy, sexual risqué stuff allied with fun comedic easy going themes and stories. It is borderline Hentai but coming up with some degenerate sub plotlines to ... make the situations in each scene very funny. The songs are good, the scenes are well animated and very colorful. I don't even know how this came to be, it is impressive how Japan pulled this off. It is even more visual than the manga? Have you ever seen something like that? Me neither lol, and the blu-ray versions are worth a rewatch.

So like, Mato Sensei no Slave and Kekkon Yubiwa Monogatari don't hold a candle to this in that regard. Of course, the combat is inspired by tokusatsu/mahou shoujo animes/series, so don't expect amazing detailed combat scenes.. And beyond that, its comedic vessel is at eleven all the time. Highly recommend to anyone looking for some ecchi with tons of funny scenes. And BDSM, ofc.

Peak Ecchi anime about magical girls that borders on hentai.

Plot: To start, there's an actual story here. It's about a girl named Utena who adores magical girls and even dreams of becoming one. A little spirit companion grants her the gift of transforming into a magical girl, but with a twist—she joins team Evil. As the episodes unfold, Utena gradually comes to embrace her role in evil, largely through her interactions with the magical girls, Tres Magia. And by interactions, I mean Ecchi at its finest, teetering on the edge of hentai. Along her journey, she allies with characters that assist her in tormenting Tres ... Magia, and that's what it mainly boils down to majority of the episodes.

Overall, the story progresses nicely, and it's surprisingly decent. There's character growth in a lot of characters, but primarily from two characters I noticed: one growing in a weirdly positive direction, and the other, the main character (MC), developing in a seemingly negative manner yet positive from her perspective. Also did I mention it's very Ecchi? Let me mention it again just to be sure.

The opening and ending themes are good. While the opening might not be the greatest, it's still good and memorable. Very chill.

In summary: A great Ecchi anime. If a season 2 was made, I'd watch it.

What happens when a Magical Girl otaku becomes an Evil Magical Girl? Well, of course, soft Magical Girl BDSM!

This anime knows what it's about and doesn't pretend it's something else. It's about cute magical girls being "Oh No! I lost all my clothes!"ed and made to moan by numerous ridiculous ways. There is a minor school slice of life part where the girls interact ... with each other at school without knowing they are enemies, because of the obscuring power of Magical Girls preventing other people from knowing who their real identities are even if they show their face. But apart from that, it's about the main character undressing magical girls and, well, sexually harassing them using various monsters she can summon with her new evil wand. But it's OKAY because they seem to like it, right?

8/10 Cultural Masterpiece. This show deserves a spot in preservation nuclear bunkers and those satellites we send to aliens that show the best humanity has to offer.

Logically when you look at this photo and these tags on MAL you think that the anime is horrible, I'm glad I had the recommendation of the great Khyleri.
The anime is very good, it manages to get a lot of things right and is certainly the biggest surprise of the year so far. Asahi Production has just made the best anime in its company's history.

The anime's proposal is brilliant, the way they present the proposal to the viewer and convey it well, is a great success. I also like that the direction is not that ... Ecchi anime crap, which is normal in the industry, but they managed to make this anime without any fear, they knew what they were doing very well and that brought an extra quality to the anime. The scenes are well done, produced and animated. The anime's art style is also very pleasing and manages to transfer the manga's art to the anime extremely well. You don't owe anything. I didn't expect to be so entertained, but the well-executed script managed to enchant me in this anime. In terms of production and direction, it is one of the best in recent times. My point is reinforced by the magnificent work of Usukura Ryuutarou who worked on Violet Evergarden and Maoujou de Oyasumi. And if you've been watching anime a little longer, you know that at the time To Love Ru was the point of reference when it came to Ecchi anime, that's right, Ootsuki Atsushi, the director of To Love Ru, also worked on this anime!

One quality that I love about anime is character construction, and every character manages to have their construction in a balanced way, no character has more or less screen time than the anime needs. It's a very good execution to convey the image of each character appropriately, so as not to be overwhelming or rushed. The characters are charismatic and memorable, which is also another strong point.

For anyone looking for an anime to have fun and engage in the story, I highly recommend it.
