This includes Shojo, BL, Seinen, and Shounen. Although Shounen and Seinen are usually targeted at a male audience, there are some shows which I think more attract a female audience instead ^^
Also some new shojo that will be airing over the next 1-2 years. I'm so happy that there are new shoujos / female-targeted series coming out instead of just more Shounen romance 😭.

This list contains popular romance anime targeted for female audience that is set in current real world setting, so no fantasy/historical world setting :) so it mostly contains school theme or workplace theme! Some of them may have supernatural-ish element, but if it's still set in real world, it's still in the list.

Also, please mind that not all of the anime in this list is tagged with shoujo demography. So if a romance anime that doesn't have shoujo tag is popular in the female audience, I'll add it here.
