The second season of Kagejitsu is quite a bit better than the first. It's still just chibi shorts but they're way less chliché and actually add a bit to the main anime now.
The events in the shorts are about a detail or theme from the episode of the main anime with the same number. This means that the best time to watch a short is after finishing an episode but you can also just watch them later if you forget. The humor is all in all quite enjoyable.
