He later supports his captain, Kidou, when he decides they will no longer follow the orders of their coach, Kageyama. • [Season 2]: After Teikoku Gakuen's loss against Zeus, however, he and Sakuma were lured by Fudou to join Shin Teikoku Gakuen, a team coached by Kageyama, in hopes of becoming stronger and no longer needing their former captain, Kidou. • [Season 3]: Sometime later, after the Shin Teikoku Gakuen incident, he joined Neo Japan, a team created by Hitomiko, in order to take Inazuma Japan's place as the national team in the Football Frontier International tournament. Inazuma Eleven Ares no Tenbin & Inazuma Eleven Orion no Kokuin: • [Ares no Tenbin]: Genda reprises his role of goalkeeper at Teikoku Gakuen. While initially sharing the sentiment of uneasiness with his teammates about the return of their former coach, Kageyama, and his strategic methods, he quickly realises his intentions of returning Teikoku Gakuen's former glory. • [Orion no Kokuin]: Genda is seen at the selection ceremony for the national team alongside his Teikoku Gakuen teammates, Sakuma and Fudou. He and Sakuma, however, did not get chosen to be a part of the national team.
