Manga Letter V Mid 20

Please for the life of me, if you are 13 years old or had a vampire fase that you wanna go back to, this is the perfect manga for that.

Yes it gets progressively cringier and i had moments where i questioned "why am i reading this, i'm an adult" BUT it's worth it for the laughs.

Sometimes I like to read/ watch bad series, but even then I have standards, and this manga passed :)

so yeah that is my overall rating: the art is good, i cracked up everytime I saw something in french because of how cliché it made things, to me this was a ... comedy more than a romance, but again, probably because i know i loved this kind of thing back in the day. The plot is gold, it's so stupid, i love it so much...

Ok my major problem is that supposedly each vampire has a soulmate female to drink the blood of, BUT LIKE ONCE YOU FIND YOUR SOULMATE SHE'S SUPPOSED TO TURN INTO A VAMPIRE BUT THEN WHAT WILL THEY FEED ON LIKE??????
I don't question this further because, again, if you're reading a vampire story i guess you won't be focusing on a good plot and 13 year olds just want to romatacize marring a vampire king.

My second problem is that when everyone already knows she's a girl the chapter names keep saying "the boy ..."

In conclusion, i wanted to rate this higher for the laughs and the nostalgia, but sousou no frieren exists, and that is a true masterpiece so I can't give a higher score to this manga.

Very based story, it's a nice shoujo I guess. The plot generally started nice, but towards the end it kept declining. I'm staying for the drama though.
All in all the main character is a bit off, the rest are also whatever. I love Juri.
The story is your typical vampire x human plot, so no surprises there. I read the manga after watching the first 4 episodes of the series. I'd put it a bit under reverse harem gender, as that's what I thought it was at first. It's way average, going to below average. They need to fix up the following chapters, they're at an ... overwhelmingly cringe point right now.:/

First off, the 1/10 rating is legit. Also, the tags are off. This is a reverse harem (she actively seeks out many other guys and cheats with them on ML) with adult themes (questionable consent, violation, forms of cheating). This reads more like Smut than Shoujo. Chapters 13, 19, 36, 44 and onwards can be hard to stomach for the average shoujo enjoyer looking for some sweet shoujo free of actual hard NTR and her cheating.
Now the reason for the 1/10 rating; The main story ends at chapter 40. The climax is actually okay and it feels like this is the true end which isn't ... only terrible- you can walk away like "whatever" and give it a solid 5.
SADLY the manga keeps going, without a proper story. There is only one quest now which she actually endulges and likes: "Try not to cheat on your husband" (I am sadly not kidding, this is in the manga).. From here on the reader only sees her being a full on slut (ch44 that was quick, lmao) in a setting that she herself allows that just fully 100% ruins her. The author is taking every stupid thing she did before and amplifies 10x. She is disgusting. Everything she does is absolutely disgusting. No saving grace, period. Read NTR-gangbang mindbreak hentais, same shit just with more action.
There has been a total of 2 wholesome husband-wife moments as of chapter 53 and a total of 13 (borderline-)cheating moments (actually her own choice, ch47-48 xdd). She is resisting even less than before, even liking it in some panels. It is so fucking weird, lol.. She has to be written by some incel is what I believe at this point. No way in hell could a normal human being abuse a female lead to this extent and fulfill every deranged incel fantasy in one go. "Meek woman like strong men and open for them oogabooga" + the "she owes every male physical intimacy and love" classic.
Again, I wish I was kidding. This is not enjoyable and I don't really have a problem with the NTR and adult themes. All writing involving her is just simply dogshit.

The art is clean and pretty good for "just another shoujo". There is some good ideas, most notably the whole "love goes beyond gender" plot that is established early on. Other than that, questionable consent is huge in this manga paired with actual self (most) and not-self NTR that ends in different forms of emotional and physical cheating (mostly done by FL herself).
This is extremely rare in shoujo and some people might just really like it. I personally have a problem with it as the first 12 chapters were relatively vanilla to then randomly be bombarded by different genres- felt like a bait and switch.

The characters are some of the worst ever, in any shoujo ever. It starts off reasonable and we get some quick introductions which are pretty transparent- you know who will play which role instantly. No biggie, might be on purpose... is what I would type if the characters weren't all so insanely inconsistent. It is actually infuriating at times (looking at chapters 13 onwards). The writing in these chapters is atrocious and incoherent. It mostly stems from how the characters behave so differently from what the say but the story is just a tangled mess that makes some characters look plain retarded.
Some of the stuff that happens is criminal with zero repercussion- what happens how it is allowed to happen is something not even a writer with mental impairment could come up with.
I won't spoil in this review but shame on the author, turning a reasonable FL into a weak, meek, infinitely easy and unloyal husk. There was some insane mental gymnastics involved to "develop" her into whatever this is.
Again, I don't hate everything that happened but HOW it happened. Important.

As for the loser that was used in tandem with her stupid offscreen changes, he goes way too far and everyone knows. But nobody is doing shit, she is the one resisting the least. He has infinite power over all characters for no real reason. It goes some steps further and she literally develops some full on selfNTR-stockholm hybrid. Her acting like nothing happened just a panel after and allowing him to manhandle her some more is so fucking bizarre to look at after getting to know her.
80% of the same could be said about any other male in this manga. They aren't as important but that does not change the fact that FL willingly has to present herself on a silver platter for every male to freely use. "But she doesn't like it!!" after seeing her swoon-blush and engage in physical activities. Eww and puke.
It is unironically sad and I irl felt bad for what was done to her by the other characters and by the author while at the same time absolutely despising her character.

I only kept reading to see how bad it can get and oh boy, the author managed to go beyond the worst after 40+. Kudos for that.
"But it is shoujo hurrdurr" A heartfelt stfu to these people. The characters sadly are incredibly inconsistent, that is fact. BUT this story was different before said chapters and had the chance to be something different than 80% of shoujo that are "weak FL is used and manhandled by every guy so cute". This is a bait and switch.
The worst part is, there are random short moments (sometimes only 2 panels) where all characters just wake up and behave like conscious beings with reason and feelings not just as tools that need to do one thing and then fall into obscurity. This is dementia: the manga. I do feel bad for it but caring for it eats you up inside.
