Synopsis

Saeki Kazuko is an ordinary otaku who has a thing for "two-dimensional shota" but somehow, she is being bothered a lot by a neighbor's child, Aikawa Ryuou, an elementary school boy who looks like a yankee but is pure by heart. Even though he earnestly approaches Kazuko, he shows it with honest feelings and partly some violence.

There's a fair amount of titles running on Gangan right now that have otaku characters filled with inside jokes about the tropes of the industry. Yankee Shota to Otaku Oneesan is, in my opinion, the best of the bunch right now. This is the tale of a fujoshi and shotacon (2D only of course) woman called Kazuko and her neighbor, Ryuou, a 3D shota (from her perspective) that starts to follow her around for reasons she doesn't understand.

If you're a big fan of otaku like characters Kazuko. It was my first dose of understanding the female perspective of an Otaku. Which of course as I expected...over the top. Which is what makes me love those types of characters as well. Kinda reminds me of the heart warming spoiled kid.

Aizawa shoulda gotten in tons of fights or something, either way he was a fun character as well. I love ...

This was so sweet. I love the shota/oneesan trope, but I always like it when it's pure and cute, such as this. Ryou is literally so precious. Oh man. And so is Kazuko, idk, but there's something about modest characters with glasses that I just adore.

This isn't very helpful for people actually deciding whether or not they want to read this (I will say that you should, it's light and cute), it's really just me gushing over how much I enjoyed this. <333

Like, even the side characters are nice. Anpanman is hilarious, what with his addiction to the shota oneesan trope (lol), and the girl ...
