The exorcism is similar between the two. The method of storytelling and main characters feel pretty close as well. They both have a scratchy art style. 

Another dark shounen title where it starts of somewhat happy and quickly turns dark. They strive away from the normal shounen formula and goes against the hero always wins norm. Both titles have very interesting and likable characters as well as a real good power system where they actually makes sense and are well thought out. 

-The characters have a very similar design style. -Both manga have an story structures, where the characters have special abilities and are part of an organization that hunt demons. -Both take place in urban style Tokyo settings. -Both have a darker horror vibes but with great comedic moments. 

Both manga share very similar traits. I would recommend you to actually read both, it's interesting comparing and contrasting the aspects of these two stories that make them so popular.  

Jujutsu Kaisen and Chainsaw Man. A pretty common recommendation on this site recently. But it’s true. The two are very similar. Both began in Weekly Shōnen Jump in the year of 2018, and are darker and edgier battle shōnen manga. Both have a horror theme, similar art styles and both also take place in modern day Tokyo. However, there are differences. Jujutsu Kaisen is more traditional, having more clean-ish art than Chainsaw Man, and isn’t as dark, messed up and morbid as that manga is. Jujutsu Kaisen is really reminding me of Chainsaw Man the more I read it. Fans of one should really check out the other.  

So, you finished part 1 of Chainsaw Man and you're eagerly waiting for part 2? I can't think of a better series to pass that wait time than Jujutsu Kaisen. It scratches the same modern-setting, horror-action, occult-centered itch that Chainsaw Man appeals to without being so similar that you've already seen it before. The two series' plots premises are remarkably similar at a glance, but they diverge well when it comes to their themes and how they handle their "edginess." Like CSM, JJK makes time for humor that generally lands, but its humor is far less morbid and lends JJK a far more typical-shounen feel. However, JJK doesn't pull its punches - this series is just as dark and its conflicts are nearly as costly as CSM's devil exterminations. A similarly rough but otherwise distinct artstyle makes JJK easy on the eyes as well, with great paneling and distinct character design to boot. If you're a fan of the messy-yet-organized feeling Fujimoto's art brings to the table, Gege Akutami cranks that up to an eleven with thick lineart and liberal use of dark ink and hatching, creative use of forced perspective, and exaggerated expressions to give its art an even more chaotic and intense feeling. Overall, while JJK and CSM both have dark, edgy, and supernatural tones JJK stands apart from CSM as a distinctly separate approach to these similar themes, and I would call it a must-read for anyone who enjoys Chainsaw Man.

Firstly, the protagonists have +/- the same objectives: They are used as guinea pigs to eat "Fingers / Demon Parts" that if they survive they gain power / remain alive, if they cannot die or be killed !!! If you start reading Chainsaw Man having watched Jujutsu Kaisen you will see that they are very similar YES. 

The mcs from both manga are such men of culture XD Also there's a lot of badass waifu and powerful sensei!!! I keep simping in these manga like omg u guys should read it!  

the authour was of csm was inspired from jjk similar world some good antagonists both are said to be the next big thing in shounen 

This is an obvious recommendation, but it's obvious for a reason! I think of Jujutsu Kaisen and Chainsaw man as sister mangas, kind of. Besides coming out around the same time, they are extremely similar plotwise and there are a lot of parallells between characters and the roles they play in the story. There are some crucial differences though. CSM is a LOT darker and grittier than JJK, in style and theme. CSM's main character Denji comes from a shitty upbringing and his life gets progressively worse. If you, like me, thought the jujutsu sorcerer kids were having a rough time and wanted them to catch a break, Chainsaw Man will make you tear your hair out. The story might seem like your standard, shallow, punch-slash-explosion-boobs-bloodsplatter shonen manga, but if you want to get into it, the story has a lot of hidden (or not-so-hidden depending on whether you possess basic reading comprehension skills or not) depth! It's got some of the most interesting, sympathetic and honest takes on psychological trauma that I've ever seen. (You can also read it just for the fight scenes and tits if that's your thing, it does that well too!) The characters are also, just like in JJK, wonderful, and despite (or maybe because of) their abrasiveness and moral ambiguity/straight up lack of morals, they are all very charismatic! ty 4 yr time (｀-´)>  

They have similar story structures and have likeable characters. It has the same kinda vibe and the demon/devil part is quite similar but with its difficulties. 

Many similar things, but both are still individually good. I feel Chainsaw man is more chaotic and comedic but definitely has its serious moments as well.  

Similar ish story. Jujutsu Kaisen has cursed spirits while Chainsaw Man has demons. You get the same feeling from both manga's. Both of the main characters are under some organization that involve killing monsters. 

They both follow a person who has a demon/devil inside of them.  

Similar story, both slay creatures, both are animated by MAPPA (chainsaw man soon), both are dark fantasies and has that horror grotesque vibe into it. 

Art styles are very similar as well as both main characters being portrayed as "ticking time bombs". The roles for some of the main characters from each series are almost identical for example fushiguro for jjk and aki from chainsaw man are almost the exact same when it comes to personality and the roles they fulfill. Both are amazing series. 

Both part of the new dark shonen Trio. Great writing and characters with interesting designs. Also the first part of Chainsaw Man is finished so you don't have to wait for the next chapter. 

Both MC have strong beings living in them. Both MC work with organization to kill/excorsice Devils/Curses  

Jujutsu kaisen is similar to Chainsaw man due to: 1- The organizations that fight against evil. JJK: We have the sorcerers that fight against the curses (spirits) that threaten humanity. Sorcerers are controlled by the Jujutsu Technical High Schools which assign missions to the sorcerers. CSM: There are the demon hunters who fight against the demons that threaten humanity. The demon hunters are commanded by the organization known as the Public Security Demon Hunters who assign missions to the demon hunters. 2- Powers and abilities. JJK: They use ritual techniques based on cursed energy (what curses are made of) to fight curses (hypocrisy). CSM: Demon hunters make pacts with demons to fight demons (hypocrisy).  

Both are my absolute favorite action manga. Both have the right amount of comedy, drama, and supreme action. Absolute brilliance. 

when i started chainsaw man i immediately had to check if jjk was by the same author-they are VERY similar and are both funny and follow different patterns than your usual shonen -they both have similar protags (very straightforward, earnest, innocent, not your “typical” shonen protagonist full of lofty convictions) -similar character interactions + same comedic sense -the art styles are both sketchy and a little rugged (more so for jjk) so if one doesn’t bother you the other most likely won’t -both are about demons and have very similar premises 

If you like Jujutsu Kaisen I believe you will also like chainsaw man. So much is similar I really don't feel like naming them all off. I would not call this a rip off of any sort. The differences between the two are also easy to spot. 

Chainsaw Man and Jujutsu Kaisen are both mangas with likable characters, a good story and there are great fights against evil devils and demons. 

As mentioned before, it is also a part of the dark trio. Has similar pacing to an action shounen and the art is amazing. The plot twists are incredible and it is definitely one of those stories you can reread and uncover more things about the story the more times you read it. I personally thought the callback to denji asking makima if a perfect world will have bad movies is absolute genius writing. If you have read it you know what I am talking about and if you didn't then read it!!! It is a piece of art, go indulge in it.  

They both have similar concepts like creatures being created from the fear of humans and uses Shōnen tropes in a unique execution that differentiate from the rest new gen. Also both of the authors of these series are friends and borrowing from one another.  

There are countless similarities between Jujutsu Kaisen Chainsaw Man, we can mention the similarity between the characters, Itadori is like Denji, the kind and funny protagonist who doesn't want to hurt even the demons, Nobara is like Power, the protagonist's friend excited and outgoing, who often steals the show, Megumi is like Aki, the quiet boy with black hair who is a friend of the protagonists who had his family killed and wants revenge, Gojo is like Makima, both are very strong with incredible powers that can finish off any enemy, Miwa is like Kobeni, the two poor comic relief from the countryside. Another point to highlight is the relationship between Mitaka and the War Devil in Chainsaw Man part 2 which is very similar to the relationship between Itadori and Sukuna. In addition, the pace of the narrative is similar, both work with demons and curses and are shounen manga.  

The influence of Bleach on Jujutsu Kaisen is quite obvious, with its stylish characters and gloomy art and atmosphere. 

Both mangas have a supernatural theme, stylish battles, cool characters and similar art style 

-Similar protagonist -Similar atmosphere -Similar artstyle They both deal with "souls" main heroes are just students and then they get some powers and all that stuff!! If you love bleach then you will love Jujutsu kaisen too...  

Honestly, it’s shockingly similar. While Jujutsu Kaisen is a darker series and Bleach the lighter one, it’s clear that Gege Akutami was influenced heavily by Bleach. The relationship to death as a concept is very much pulled from Bleach, as well. Incredible fights in both. One of the larger differences is simply that Tite Kubo is a much better character designer and artist. But, Jujutsu Kaisen does well enough. Definitely suggest Bleach, though, if you haven’t already read it. Some amazing fights and just a fun time overall. It’s not as long as its chapter amount, simply due to a lot of panels just being for fights. A quick read for such a long series. Enjoy!  

They both have a similar enemy, with curses and spirits which are ultimately caused by mankind. Groups are formed to combat these enemies, with many types of combatants and different combat styles and abilities. 

Both are battle shounen with rather similar protagonists that fights against monsters to protect those around him. 

Akutami is a Kubo fan since middle school, as she admitted in one of the interviews. Her style, especially character design, is heavily influenced by the techniques of Kubo. If you are a Bleach fan, there is a lot of fun in reading JJKS, since there are just so many close resemblances of Bleach. In fact, long-time JUMP readers will definitely feel nostalgic while reading JJKS. Akutami is paying homage to many JUMP classics, as she also admitted in the interviews.  

They both have similar stories, as the first season or so of Jujutsu Kaisen is very similar to the first arc of Bleach.  

Jujutsu Kaisen was inspired by Bleach so you'll see a lot of similarities like curses and hollows, and jujutsu sorcerers and Shinigami.Both have amazing plot and power systems and the female characters are well written 

This will contain slight spoilers for both series and a major spoiler warning later on. The manga starts with Yuji having to awaken powers because of a life and death situation by eating Sukuna's finger. Similar to him Ichigo had to awaken his Shinigami powers because of a life and death situation where Rukia transferred her powers to him. Afterwards we meet Gojo Satoru aka "the sensei" who is very similar character wise to Urahara Kisuke. They're both seen as very powerful entities in their worlds and are hated by many people. Yuji was first meant to be executed but he got away with it for a short time given so that he can collect all the fingers of Sukuna which are indestructible. People didn't want to trust Yuji at first since he had Sukuna inside of him which is why he received a lot of hate from the sorcerer society and was even hunted down for it later in the manga. As a parallel to that, Ichigo was seen as an enemy by the Shinigami during the Soul Society arc and was almost killed multiple times while trying to save Rukia from getting executed. While Yuji is able to "transform" by letting Sukuna the King of Curses take over his body, Ichigo can transform into a hollow and also communicate with Zangetsu who lives inside of his Zanpakuto and lends him power. Spoilers for Shibuya Arc (JJK) and TYBW Arc (Bleach): In the Shibuya Arc we find out that Kenjaku had transplanted his brain into Kaori Itadori's (Yuji's Mom) body which is why Choso ends up calling Yuji "brother". Yuji was revealed to be related to Kenjaku which also explains his supernatural physical abilities in the first few chapters. This is a big parallel to the plot twist with Ichigo's mother not being a human but a quincy and him being related to Yhwach because of that.  

Both are man eating monster hunting Manga with a similar sensei and JJK is heavily inspired by bleach and they both peak fiction, Zenith of the Medium, Magnus Opus, absolute cinema the embodiment of art soul satsifying media 

Both have almost the same abilities and power systems. In addition, these two are similar in their villains' development.    

Both Jujutsu Kaisen and Hunter x Hunter have a great cast of likable characters, awesome power system, and a dark setting. 

both great mangas with a solid power systems and great battles with unique artstyles, jjk specially stands out with a great choreograph. (also, i recomend start from volume 0 because its important for the story but you can start from volume 1 and read 0 later) 

The two of them have powerful and intelligent fights, and they present great story and characters, you must read the manga and watch the anime 

Both have amazing and unique fights. Both have creative power system. 

Both are spectacular shonen manga where the story is not "eaten" but the fights. They both have amazing fighting sequences, with complex and thoughtful battles. Also the artworsks (despite beign different) are very characterized and works really well in the fighting scenes. On the other hand, these mangaa create around the protagonists a whole world, not excessively complicated, but still with some politics and power struggle going on in the backgournd. The exploration and the interaction with this world is no secondary and builds up a whole story beyond the mere series of fights Lastly, they both develope in a more dark and cruel atmosphere along the story, both in terms of artwork and story  

Both have well though out power system and give similar vibes especially their protagonist's who on first look appear a generic shonen protagonist but then undergo a lot of charecter development. Both are surprisingly dark for a shonen. Also the mangaka of Jjk has cited HxH to be one of his inspirations behind Jjk. 

Supernatural manga with plentiful fighting styles and fights, good fights and settings, and tropey characters. 

Both are battle shounen in which the mc fights against a supernatural threat. 

Both are similar as your mc goes on the journey to defeat demons/curses and gets massive powerups and development along with an interesting plot and characters 

Same comedy, characters, and plot ideas. If you enjoyed Kimetsu no Yaiba I can recommend Jujutsu Kaisen as an enjoyable and entertaining read. 

both have the sense of urgency that deal with a big boss at the end of the day. KNY with Muzan and JJK with Sukuna / Sukuna's followers

Martial Arts with some religious symbolism mixed in. While Hell's Paradise is focused a bit more on swordfighting, the fast paced action and rough art really do remind you of JJK. 

If you are a manga reader, you have probably heard the term 'The Dark Trio' which includes JJK, CSM, and Jigokuraku. They are pretty similar in the genre being dark action shounen mangas but just because they are pretty much the same genre, does NOT in any way make them copycats or boring. Each manga has such a unique story and world with AMAZING characters. If you loved the pacing of jjk and the characters you will love jigokuraku. What I love about all three of these mangas is that despite taking place in a completely different world and dealing with fictional monsters and such, there are still things we can pull from these stories and apply to our own lives.   

Similar demons, and both have a darker tone for Shonen jump series. I’d say jujutsu kaisen takes heavy inspiration off both of togashi’s works, Hunter x hunter and this. The vibe is similar and characterisations too. 

Both Jujutsu Kaisen and Yu Yu Hakusho are battle shounens that deals with fights against demons and the protagonists use their unique supernatural powers to defeat them. Also, Yu Yu Hakusho is referenced in some Jujutsu Kaisen chapters. 

While I was reading Dandadan, I was instantly reminded of Jujutsu kaisen - the mangas are surprisingly similar. Both of the mangas focus supernatural, like occultism and "Curse". The mangas also share the fact that they both have young protagonists, place settings often develop at school too (the majority of Dandadan's cast consisting of the same age group). But in case teenagers romance story Dandadan contains more than Jujutsu kaisen. Most importantly, the two mangas are very similar in the way they are both high-tense action yet oddly compelling reads, and I heavily recommend that you give both a go! 

-Both have fast paced, well choreographed action, Dandadan has better art but the abilities in JJK are more interesting. -Funny, likeable characters that all have distinct personalities. -Plot of both focuses around fighting curse/demon like objects. Dandadan fights both the occult and aliens. -Both MC's have a form of "inner demon" 

- They both have main characters who don't want to be the best of the best - Both series contain supernatural monsters (Curses and Phantoms) and exorcising so called monsters - Both titles can delve into some pretty dark stuff and have a similar vibe 

Both of these jump manga seems to focus on the whole vibe of spirits,demons,curses, phantoms etc which has become a very popular theme in Shonen manga nowadays. The artwork in honomieru shounen(phantom seer) is amazing as well!!(better than jujutsu maiden imo) and I would definitely say phantom seer is one of my personal favourite new Shōnens and will hopefully be one of the next big titles 

Both are battle shounen with similar team structure and very likable squad leaders. And Gojo is quite similar to Kakashi.  

I am a big fan of naruto. Since 2014 looking for something similar.I finally found it. the same vibe despite the fact that Jujutsu Kaisenis in many ways original 

Both have similar concepts, having supernatural monsters in a modern setting, and a mix of edgy action and comedy.  

both protagonists get a power through eating something disgusting lol, fast and entertaining plot, cool designs 

Personalities of the main cast are really similar to the ones in Black Clover, and the concept of "becoming the best/important/xxxx/etc." is not present here. Both MCs have a particular great physical capability.  

Has great action and fight scenes similar to JJK, fantastic art, cool character designs, just read it
