Manga 116918 Ashigei Shoujo Komura-san

This is the most beautiful thing I have ever read.

Every writer, at one point in their life, wonders to themselves, "Will this be my magnum opus? What if I've already done my best? Do I have no room to grow as a writer?"

You, my good sir, have reached this point. I don't mean that in a bad way, no, far from it. This is the best thing you have ever written, not because you are a bad writer, but because it simply outclasses everything in existence.

1984? Rubbish. Fahrenheit 451? Who the hell cares? The Odyssey? Complete shit.

But this...

This story is an absolute masterpiece. Simply wonderful. ... Its characters are likeable and memorable, and their endless struggles tug at the heartstrings at just the right times. The epic conflict that builds up from beginning to end is enthralling.

You are a God among men. I salute you for your creative prowess, and I hope that my stories may one day be able to reach one-tenth of this one's timelessness.

I have a lot to say about this manga, but I'm not the best with words. However, seeing as there aren't many reviews for this manga, I think I'll have to take a jab at making one myself.

---Story---
'Ashigei Shoujo Komura-san' is a cute romantic comedy about a guy who accidentally gets engaged to an extremely acrobatic girl, who uses her feet instead of her hands for everything. While it is a unique premise, not much is actually done with this. The beginning and ending feel extremely rushed and boring.

---Art---
Well, it's definitely art; it does its job well of ... being a means to drive the story through illustrations (like manga and comic books are supposed to do). What I'm trying to say is that there's nothing all that special about it, nothing really stands out above the rest.

---Character---
Title character Komura-san is the incredibly acrobatic girl I wrote about in the Story section. The guy, however, is just a guy. The only thing we learn about him is that he liked animals, which is relevant for about half of a chapter. When your secondary main character feels like filler, you're doing something wrong.

---Enjoyment---
I'm a sucker for cute romantic comedies, and this short manga definitely scratched that itch. I've heard this manga described as a "foot fetish work", which I really don't agree with; don't go into this manga expecting some hardcore footjob action. This manga is a situational romantic comedy, so if that's your thing, then I would recommend it.

---Overall---
If you're expecting a good story, you'll be disappointed. If you're expecting outstanding art, you'll be disappointed. If you're expecting a male love interest worth giving a damn about, you'll be disappointed. But if you just want something short and cute to read by the fireplace on a lonely winter night (don't judge me), then you'll be satisfied with this manga.

Do you like feet? Do you find them... sexy? Then go ahead and read the One -shot that came out before this manga. It will fulfill all your foot fetishy needs without wasting your time. It is to the point, short, and kinda provocative I guess. In comparison the full version of this manga is nothing but an uninteresting slog that was a complete waste of my time and sanity.

Story: The story is a perfect example of a Romantic "Comedy" spinning its wheels until its forced to rush to the end at a lightning pace. For the first 55 chapters of the series, almost ... no progress is made before the author managed to force a really rough ending out of the last couple chapters. My best guess is that it was axed and forced to end prematurely. That being said I am not surprised that it was cancelled. The story was altogether dreadful and uninteresting in the slightest. Every chapter just tried its best to bend the foot girl in the most provocative way possible that it started to feel repetitive and boring. The only reason I managed to finish it was because I justified it to myself with its short length.

Art: The art isn't anything particularly special and ends up feeling gross more than ever. The girls are drawn in the most uncomfortable way possible with an emphasis on sweaty feat, puffy crotches, and taped on breasts. Maybe its just because none of those things are my fetishes, but I ended up just feeling gross and uncomfortable for most of my time reading it.

Characters: Here we have on display several large pieces of paper with sweaty and physics defying feet. The main guy character is also a sheet of paper with the small quirk that he really likes animals. That actual quirk is probably the most interesting thing about any of the characters here. All of the major cast members are uninteresting and leave a lot to be desired.

End: I think I've more than succinctly summed this up. In the end I suggest finding some well drawn foot fetish related hentai instead. It'll probably give you what you want without a bland story that doesn't go anywhere getting in the way.
