Manga 130593 Imawa No Kuni No Alice Retry

Imawa kuni no alice RETRY is the 2rd spin off to one of my favorites mangas of all time Imawa kuni no alice , the events of this sequel takes place years after the events of the original , arisu the mc is transported again to the borderlands this time to play the 9 of hearts game , i wont get into details of the game , it rules or the ending in order not to spoil you guys . A new cast of characters were introduced but they werent that interesting expect for the antagonist , although a bit basic but entertaining nonetheless ... . In the end this spin off covered only one game which was a shame , since there was a lot of things the author could have done especially with the ending of the original , so it was a short but an enjoyable read and even better than the 1st spin off , overall 8/10

I personally prefer Netflix's live action adaptation but i really wanted to see more from anime as well. Ever since Squid game released i been watching a lot of Survival anime and dramas and Alice in borderlands was the 2nd show after squid game that I watched. I have waited a year for 2nd season and after finally i personally think this could be made as 3rd Season or even a movie.

As for this manga, I have seen a lot of plot twists especially this for being a Heart game. But overall short but very good bonus.

But overall if you are ... fan of Survival manga/anime, psychology and drama then this manga is for you.

Think of Imawa no Kuni no Alice Retry as milking the success of it's predecessor in order to make a lackluster sequel that doesn't really add anything to the story.

Just like Imawa no Michi no Alice, the only reason you'd read Imawa no Kuni no Alice Retry is because of the success of the original series. Not to say that Imawa no Kuni no Alice Retry is actually bad, it's just that it pales in comparison to the original and doesn't add on to the main series. It's just... there. It's a short 13 chapter run which doesn't really do anything but add one last ... game to the series. Was the singular game good? Yeah, it wasn't that bad at all, but the series doesn't culminate to anything else. I don't know if it got axed or whatever, but the sequel just ends just as soon as it started.

Like I said earlier, the game of death that is shown in the manga isn't bad--it keeps up the spirit of the Alice in Borderland games that we're all familiar with, but if I'm being honest, the series kind of ran its course already. Perhaps if the sequel was long enough to be its own standalone, I'd get it, but that's not the case.
