Manga 137840 Kyou Wa Kanojo Ga Inai Kara

This manga will grab your heart and toss it around like a stuffed toy from start to finish.
It is simply AMAZING, it is really sad and kinda disturbing, but that is part of what makes it so amazing. It has a very refreshing way of telling a cheating story. There's not a clear "villlan" here, it is a story of manipulation, selfishness and love that everyone can "enjoy" (You'll enjoy it, of course, but you will also suffer with the characters).
If you're not up to feeling sad and angry while reading... I would still recommend this to you, because it is really well written, really ... well paced and has amazing art.
It is, overal, a masterpiece.

What a manga with the definition of wasted potential. Goes to show how ignorant the author is compared to where the majority of fans are. To put it easily, author realizes a big mistake in the latest chapters and decides to retcons the whole plotline, just because Author was peer pressured (Or something I don't know, either way) to back down of the whole plot.

A theme in relationships about insecurity is cheating. Or that feeling when you are unsure your beloved is cheating. It could be quite an awful feeling, and pretty difficult to bring it up. It is some of the worst actions another ... human can do because it ruins your whole trust in the relationship, and after the effect of cheating some could never be the same or have the same trust. Nobody should ever be cheated on.

Now put that idea in your head as you discover what these characters will do and how they will respond to these actions.

Pretty sure reader(you) and me after having read the thing above now understand why this is such a shitshow.

To say the most without spoiling reading this is seriously not worth the read. It is a massive flop in outcome and has the biggest disappointing character choices you will EVER see in a manga.
And to top off art is just disgusting nasty underage sx scenes. Which going back, these scenes have actually zero involvement in the story.
Again what a horrible way to go. Volume 4 must be studied and questioned years to come.

Read it idgaf, feeling sorry for all fans of yuri genre.

This work is not a masterpiece- it simply can not be because of the inherent but factual flaws in writing, setup and the manga's characters. TL;DR the author is incredibly biased towards two certain characters which would ruin any manga trying to build around a cheating setup involving 3 parties- rendering the whole story pointless. Reading this manga is like getting told "read this dramatic gory thriller" to open the book and get a simple love story with a tragic ending. You're watching the recording of a sports game after being told the score by your mate.

The (cheating-)story starts off weak. We do not know ... anything significant about the main pair and it stays that way until the most recent chapter(s). Nanase seems indifferent and we only get to know that she truly loves Yuni. Yuni is way too easy. It never feels like she loved Nanase, at all. But the author wants us to believe she really, really! did. Accordingly weak is the impact when the cheating -finally- starts. There is no feelings, no drama, just the reader going along with the main characters, observing in silence. Is it exciting to think about how it will play out, moreso with what happened in chapters 11 and 12? Yes. But the story and characters are shallow and all over the place. There is nothing to form any connection to, a huge part of manga such as this one.

The main reason for the downfall of this manga though are the characters. It gets clear very early that the author is incredibly biased towards two certain characters and that this work might just be a huge pile of self-insertion and self-gratification. Nanase, Yuni and Taki-san get very little explanation and development as characters. By the time Yuni got turned into a braindead lusty cheater we still do not know anything about Taki-san (the one doing the "stealing") and little about the other two. It is too late. The pace is inconsistent and every explanation going forward will have to be/feel like some ass pull. The screen time is heavily favored towards Yuni and Taki-san and everything happening is only favourable for said two characters. Nanase never had a chance. On an unrelated (but somehow related) note, checking the author's twitter confirms said believes- there are 100 illustrations of YunixTaki, a total of 0 of them featuring Nanase. The chance of this being a self-insert undermines every and any reason to read this work as this might aswell just be the authors perverse way of coping with a breakup or any other real life happening and to trash on another real being- I will not further speculate or be potentially disrespectful but there have been multiple cases of famous writers doing just that. And the works always lose all their meaning (if they had any).

Either way, even if this is not what I think it is, I would not be able to wholeheartedly recommend this work as the issues outweigh the positives. This isn't what it tries to be. You are reading for dramatic happenings but you have zero connection to anyone. This manga falls flat as a whole. There is nothing to it and what it tries it fails at (factually).
