Have you had the desire to just give up completely and throw out 'everything' you had? Surely you have, but don't have what it takes to make that desire a reality (and you shouldn't, obviously). Good news, this manga does and it's yuri.
After what seems to be countless times being rejected by companies, Nishimiya Haru is fed up with job hunting, school, and following the norm. Her girlfriend, Megumi Hinoto, has been suggesting Haru to not be bothered to meet everyone's expectation for a while. The fed up, frustrated Haru decided that she will seriously give up. Hearing that, Hinoto happily agrees with her, ... and so they both leave their everything behind that is Tokyo to a small island; and thus a new start in their lives.
Sorry for pissing on your bonfire, but in no way should you ever do this in real life. For a manga premise, I think it's great. Since the dawn of time, yuri manga have explicitly/implicitly been questioning about 'what's normal'. This manga is no different. However, I like how the story is trying to be as realistic as possible. The two girls left their home in Tokyo to be freed from job hunting and other mundane activities, but the next morning they woke up in the new island, they are already worried about their not-so-good financial situation. Having left 'everything', they came with so little money that it isn't possible living, even worse since they've got no jobs so no way acquiring money. So, in the end, they both still have to find work, despite finding work is the reason they left in the first place.
As there are currently 7 chapters as of writing, I can't say much about the characters. Haru cares and cherishes Hinoto as Hinoto does about Haru. They both are very supportive of each other, and mostly don't mind where they live or what they do as long as they are together. They aren't shy as well to tell others that they are both in a lesbian relationship. Based on that, I say the characters are good but nothing special.
This manga has a unique art style. It feels roughly drawn with sharp lines and edges, but there's just something about it that pulls you in. The characters are drawn very cutely and the artist knows how to draw good expression all too well.
Is this manga worth reading? For yuri lovers, yes, for those who aren't fond of the genre, then you probably won't enjoy this one.
