Synopsis

A Slice-of-Life, Comedy, Sports manga about a girl, often called as Zawa (short for her surname, Miyakozawa), in a high-school baseball team. She's talented, but being a girl, she doesn't get to participate in any official matches, and yet she trains just as hard as the rest of the team anyway, just for her own personal satisfaction.

Chapters are short and frequently done from the perspective of some passer-by/s interacting with or even just watching and contemplating to themselves about Zawa and/or the rest of the baseball team.

I started reading this manga because the main character has one of the best designs I've ever seen, full disclosure

Being a slice of life manga, nothing much really happens over the course of the 50 chapters I've read (the rest are untranslated), but nothing much has to happen. Zawa-san provides an amazing little vignette on high school baseball in Japan, but not the type we'd get from an actual sports manga. Instead, we see the situation of somebody who can't actually participate in real games. Mostly, though, this manga is about little stories and goofy situations involving the titular main character. It's full of laughs ...
