Manga 26769 Bokura Wa Minna Kawai-sou

Bokura wa Minna Kawai-sou is the kind of manga that will catch a reader's attention in the first few chapters itself. It manages to live up to the expectations of people who have seen the anime adaptation and come to the manga looking for more. It's a Slice of Life so the main plot progresses at its own pace, but you'll never find yourself getting bored of it. There's always something entertaining going on at the Kawai complex.

The story itself isn't something extraordinary. It's a tale of 6 people - 4 adults and 2 students, each having their own eccentric personalities - living in the ... same housing complex. What makes the manga special is the way the chemistry between the characters works. Their daily interactions make your heart flutter and make you chuckle, also managing to make you laugh out loud at times. The tone of the manga is consistent throughout - you'll often find yourself smiling as you read the chapters - and it's hard to stop reading once you get attached to the characters, which is bound to happen sooner than later.

The romance between the main couple is the driving aspect of the story, and the fact that it gets proper closure is something to look forward to. No one wants to be left hanging when it comes to ships, right? Every character has a role to play, and the way their personalities have been written is what causes the comedy to work very well. They all compliment and play off each other, making it an amusing read.

Being a character-driven story, it's interesting to see how each characters' quirks, habits and back-stories are revealed as the story progresses, adding newer comedic elements for the readers to look forward to. There are several running gags in the manga, like Shiro's masochism, Sayaka's phobias and how her bare-face is always covered in mosaic, Chinatsu's pseudo-sadism, Usa's makeup phobia and Mayumi's hate for innocent, pure romance.

The lead couple - Ritsu and Usa - form an adorable pair. While Usa's character doesn't change all that much, watching Ritsu's character develop and open up to Usa is a heart-fluttering experience which leaves you wanting for more. It happens very naturally and realistically, one of the reasons I consider the romance to be great. There are no accidental panty shots or boob grabs which would cause the characters to blush uncontrollably - no, had that been the case, I wouldn't be here writing this review. It is simple and innocent, without much drama involved. The side characters are like a cherry on top of the cake and their appearances are something to look forward to - they play a major role in furthering the romance.

The art is very clean and appealing. Panels featuring a single character look especially great, since the mangaka goes all out with the details. My favorite panels are the ones featuring Ritsu blushing. The mangaka did an incredible job at making her look enchanting in those panels, and I often found myself coming back to look at particular panels to admire the artwork. (#TopTierWaifuMaterial)

Overall, I think it's a great read. It's oblivious to reality however, so don't go about comparing the manga to your real life since that could possibly send you spiraling into several days of melancholy.

Living in this world we meet a lot of ppl, some of them are those who we like while some are we don't. Some of them are ppl we want to stay forever with and some of them are that we just want to get rid of them somehow. "Fate" is a just a word and an abstract noun for some of us,but for some, it's not. For some,Fate is the thing which made them who they are today and fate also decided the ppl they get to be with today. This manga portrayed the word"Fate" and how it can affect others life. In this ... manga,we see the life of a simple high school boy named "Usa" who wants to have a mediocre life and in that mediocre life he wants to spend time with a beautiful girlfriend. Now,in the first chapter, we see that,cuz of "Fate". He sees his ideal girlfriend reading a book in library. It was love at first sight for him. After that we find,he has a to live in a boarding place,known as"The kawaii complex". At first he thinks that it's a pretty nice place,but soon after he learns that his roommate is a weird person. He thinks of leaving the place but the next thing he gets to know is that the girl he saw in the library also lives there. After our manga starts and in these 94chapters we also get to know other admirable characters who are introduced later in this series, with whom we can relate somehow. In the manga,we read from the perspective of the Male MC which is not very often in shoujo Manga. The Male MC is a nice,loving, caring but sometimes awkward person who has some weird fetishes but still a respectable person. For the female MC,in the start, she's shown as a loner who's only interest is reading. As we get to read the manga,we get to know about their life in the kawaii complex and the problems they face as a couple and as the whole kawaii complex family. The best thing I liked about it was that,it wasn't cliche type, like other typical Romance manga, the events were those that someone like me who reads shoujo and Romance manga, couldn't have expected xD. It was a really nice, heartwarming, wholesome read. I didn't get bored for a single chapter and binged it even tho I'm having exams rn xD. Also,there wasn't a single kiss(they didn't show it) till the end of the chapter(in their college life). I'd recommend it to u even if u r new to romance,shoujo or even if u have read them before cuz ik that it'll be a thing for u. The plot and the characters may seem typical at first but as we get to read the manga,we get to know about them, their personalities and other problems. Tho it was a pure SoL but still it was pure fantasty, I dunno much about the author but I think this story wasn't reality based. So yea, u should expect some things we get to see in every romance manga but still, I'm sure this'll be quite an unexpected and a new thing for u to read.

This manga yo-yos in quality throughout the entire 93 chapters. I really enjoyed the first 20-30ish chapters, then the same repetitive shit happens again and again. It becomes pretty good for the final ten chapters, but then there is the 3 "Oh this is 2 years in the future" chapters that add nothing to the story. I would have a better opinion of the series if they did not have them.

The romance "plot" of this manga is drawn out and comes to a crawl for half the manga, and most chapters turn to be about Mayumi being annoyed that she's single.

There is a lot ... to say about this manga but to sum it up, if you are bored and got nothing to do and you like funny slice of life with some romance, this might be good for you.

If this manga got the Dragon Ball Z Kai treatment, it would be a whole lot better.

This did not have to be 93 chapters.
