Manga 70557 Out

currently the best furyo that I have read, it is very different from other furyos, especially in its dark and realistic universe which shows us a more serious and more violent facet of delinquency

the characters are phew, only cracks, we have technical characters like Mutô and Meguro, guys who don't give a damn like Sawamura and Taguchi, bullies like Abe and Keigo or even guys with great intelligence like Kai or Kenzou , besides the character of Kenzou is very original within the framework of the furyo genre and its evolution has a good impact on the manga

the fights are just crazy, the movements are ... spectacular, the blows powerful, the drawings are incredible and something that I love is that the Kouhai are very angry (I am thinking in particular of Mutô, Sawamura and Matsuzaka or even the 7th generation Kilihito compared to the 6th generation) we are not on the cliché or the Senpai are stronger than the Kouhai

but it's not just a fight, precisely all this violence is due to a dark history of the past with incredible characters that I let you discover

the only negative points of the manga I find is the protagonist who is a little too absent in the work (notably in the Kyoranki arc) and the pace of publication
but read Out, it's a manga that breaks the codes of the furyo genre and that will surely not leave you indifferent, personally it's my favorite manga

This manga starts slow, but oh boy does it get better. I watched Tokyo revengers, which looses it's steam near the end. Out is in my opinion a lot better than Tokyo revengers, and you can clearly see some similarities between the two. I would say that Tokyo revengers took some things from this manga, such as the captain of the main gang Tanzawa Atsushi, a girlish boy with blonde long hair that is a total op psycho, he is so similar to Mikey. Gangs and leaders are amazing, and characters from those gangs have depth. Conflicts and wars are beautifully drawn, and the story ... is really satisfying with many twists and turns. The reason that this manga doesn't have a higher score, as well as why is it not so popular, is because of it's slow start. If the quality of manga is like it is now, this manga would smoke Tokyo revengers, and became one of the most known manga, I'm certain. The manga is now in like 200th chapter or so, and the s*** has gone real, gangs turned into organized crime syndicates, and we see many hints that the story may shift to yakuza groups. So this manga is not stuck in one place, it evolves, and gives you major plot twists this deep into the story. If you plan on giving it a try, know that it will only get better, and don't quit until you get to Kyoranki arc.

Out is a beautiful manga that focuses on the gritty and violent parts of delinquency. Our main character, Iguchi Tatsuya was just released from juvie and is sent away from Tokyo to the western part of Chiba. In Tokyo, he had a reputation and was seen as a strong individual.
There is more to the story than that but it would be a massive spoiler.



Art: 10/10

Makoto Mizuta’s artwork is nothing less than outstanding. Every panel has blood, sweat, tears and passion poured into it. He perfectly knows how to portray facial expressions and you could probably tell what the situation is just from seeing the ... panel. The use of shading is exceptional with the key panels being almost fully shaded which blacks out the environment around it focusing you on the moments.
The layout of the panels is unique as well with columned double-page spreads being displayed every so often which I thought was a cool touch.


Plot: 7/10

The plot is pretty simple and it's been done thousands of times but the execution of this plot is where it really shines.



Characters: 9/10

The Characters are well developed and our main character, Iguchi Tatsuya, undergoes the most growth I've ever seen in a character where is entire personality is slightly altered with every incident of the manga.

Side Note:

The main flaw you see in this manga is the lack of the main character during long arcs but it isn't really a big problem for me and it shouldn't be for you either



In summary its pretty good so read it.
