Despite a completely different settings, both No. 6 and Given focus on the non-romantic plot and are lowkey shounen-ai. Romantic feelings are developing slowly but deeply between seemingly different people. The main characters are quite similar and so is the chemistry between them. Shion is just as calm and dreamy as Mafuyu, Nezumi seems irritable but caring like Ritsuka.
