In this new world, the story follows closely the thoughts of the main character trough an unforgiving world where death isn't actually the end. It's just... Painful. While Log Horizon is colder and more about strategy, Re:Zero is more about the psychological trauma of dying over and over again.
While Log Horizon's Shiroe is a strong-enough character, he try to achieve a peacefulness condition due the imbalance system in their new game-world, Re:Zero's Subaru is a very weak character in first place, can't do anything alone, always get assisting by his around people, he just want to safe the very person who save him but later he found he fell in love with the person he want to protected. But you can found the similarity when they try to make a negotiation and diplomacy, you will love how to see how Shiroe (A support-class of RPG Game) and Subaru (A weakling and straying) who
