Kill la Kill
Kill La Kill is overwhelmingly close to Project A-Ko, both acting as parodies of 80's anime and culture. With similar tone and characters, there is no doubt one influenced the other. The plot is often random and/or ridiculous, with no structure and constant action. There is plenty of fanservice and cheesy references.

Both of these anime about Japanese schoolgirls have a very similar trio of main characters and are filled with insane moments and pop culture references. Project A-ko features A-ko, a girl with superhuman-strength and her genki girl best friend C-ko (both clad in Sailor fuku) going up against rich girl B-ko and her insane gadgets and mecha. Kill la Kill features delinquent Ryuko and her genki girl best friend Mako go up against rich girl Satsuki.

They are bad in similar ways. If that didn't bother you in one, it shouldn't bother you in the other.

Over the top action with girls as the main characters, some comedy and fanservice as well. The main girls are also very similar (A-ko to Ryuuko, B-ko to Satsuki and C-ko to Mako). If you enjoyed one, you are most likely going to enjoy the other.

both Anime are extremely similar (both have): -super over the top action with school setting -lots of fanservice (even with super skimpy costumes, which give you super powers) -very humorous/light hearted -similar characters with two girls as rivals and one comic relief side-character

It is hard not too notice the inspiration in Kill La Kill that took from Project A-ko, from the trio protagonist, pop culture references from the 80's, to the over the top action and comedy, the skimpy outfits and fan-service, good animation and artstyle, they're both overall great and fun anime with similar energy in both of them.

Kill la Kill was very obviously inspired by Project A-ko Both have lots of over the top fight scenes, are about high school girls with very similar personalities (thankfully Mako is far less annoying than C-ko), and are mostly comedy.
