Bungou Stray Dogs

Bungou Stray Dogs
Vanitas no Karte

Vanitas no Karte
- Produced by the same studio - The protagonist vibe is similar: the worrysome dorky muscle-man + weak ironic conman as the brain of the duo - Both are more about the action than the lore, we get thrown into the story and everything is magic in the ways we don't understand at all - In both cases, there's a mystery in the plot and the mystery of the characters/their past - The amount of ironic type of comedy in them is just ugh

Both being supernatural themed stories and also same animation studio that being of bones and also both having moments of comedy from time to time as well too.

They both take place in a supernatural urban setting with similar humor, they both have similar animation/artwork and the interactions of the protagonist and deuteragonist are similar in both shows.

Bungou Stray Dogs and Vanitas no Carte have a similar feeling, and both are animated by Bones. While the storyline is vastly different, the comedy style is similar, and Dazai and Atsushi in Bungou Stray Dogs have a similar dynamic to Vanitas and Noe in Vanitas no Carte. I like both (I like Vanitas no Carte a bit more) of these anime, so check out one if you like the other.

Wacky cast in an urban setting that revolves around normal people being unaware of forces acting in the shadows (ability users in BSD and vampires in Vanitas). Dazai reminds me of Vanitas too in how they're both hella goofy but have serious demeanors when it counts and have backstories that are mysterious and misleading compared to their current state.

Similar character interaction as well as similar humour The story is very different but it is a show you would like if you watched this one

Both series feature a very dynamic and interesting cast. > both have a deuteragonist, however, BSD features more characters who are relevant to the plot The interactions and dynamics between the 2 main characters in both series are really similar. Both series shares a similar atmosphere and vibe. > Both series have a darker tone to the storyline/plot but also feature fun comedic moments as well. > Both series holds a mysterious vibe in the plot and the characters

I immediately thought of bungou stray dogs after watching the first episode. The vibes are very very similar as both are historical anime with supernatural elements.

These two stories feature an important and mysterious deuteragonist who has an entertaining dynamic with the protagonist who is more on the naive side. They also both have supernatural elements and can be comedic but become dark.

These series have similar tastes in their combinations of striking character designs and sci-fi/fantasy aesthetics. Many characters across the series fall under the same archetypes, both also having comparable senses of humor. Vanitas no Karte focuses more on the character development of the main cast while Bungou Stray Dogs gives the audience a taste of a wide range of characters. If you enjoyed the overall energy of either series, you're sure to love the other!

Both are produce by bones, and somehow the humor is very similar too. Both gonna gave you similar vibes, from their characters to the art. The dynamic of the two protagonist is very similar as well, at least to me. Seriously i think that everyone who like vanitas gonna like Bungou as well.
