Both set in a school, the MCs aren't good at communicating. But because of a misunderstanding, people think they are very cool, talk less, wise, even worship them like gods. All happened with most people unaware of the case.

Both of the main protagonists is awkward at socializing with others and unintentionally does cool things that make them the most popular kid in their high school. Similar vibes all around.

Shy and socially anxious, reserved and misunderstood, Handa-kun and Komi-san share all of the characteristics. If you've already seen one you might consider seeing the other since the difference is just the mc's gender...

'Wonder boy' main character replaced with 'wonder girl', while secondary and background characters left untouched. Same gag style comedy and situations, the main difference is in Komi-san 'understanding' character is more involved in 'wonder girls' life and has more "moe" I guess.

They are pretty much the same thing, which is wonderful because there's never enough of this kinda stuff. Both Handa and Komi are socially inept and get misunderstood in the most bizzarre of ways generating loads of quality comedy and having a positive influence on everyone around them.
