Both are cute anime with good animation which include a BL sub-trope although the main focus of the show is an artistic characteristic. None of them fetishize MLM nor are sexual, but they totally have a good development of the characters relationship. The soundtrack in both is amazing and the storyline too.

Both are Shōnen-ai The main characters relationship is a very important theme, but the main theme is about finding happiness through the things you love, either is Music or Figure skating Both Animes are colorful The characters are likable
both follow a protagonist who is super shy. they have trouble expressing their emotions. and they both undermine themselves. this story follows them through their journey into a new and evolved character. so yeah both will fill your heart with warm sappy feelings
Given has light BL elements, as does yuri on ice, so if youre not into shows with a heavier Bl/Yaoi influence, given is perfect. Its the best thing to tide you over while waiting for ice adolescence!
LGBT+ characters and themes while still having a strong plot. Yay for healthy relationships. Nice art styles.
