Honestly it's the most similar show out of every other recommended here. Both are severely underrated by people who watch 1-3 ep and don't understand the plot and both have extremely complex story telling which might be hard for some to understand but if you get into them both, you'll find them to be quite brilliant. ~ both are underrated and genre mystery. ~ very confusing in the beginning, but you will somehow understand after episode 3+ ~ there is one character in each anime that have the same personalities. Soma Sumire (Sakurada Reset) and Boogiepop(Boogiepop). Both are also voiced by Yuuki Aoi~
- There's a big overarching plot, but it is told through small arcs. - Each arc is usually delivered in a non-linear fashion, so the information you're given at first doesn't make sense until the last episode of an arc. In addition, the timeline of information is warped so some scenes really take you by surprise. - Underrated mystery/psychological that pretty much keeps you on your toes, but you gotta give it a couple episodes to sink in!!! - Both have kids with superpowers
