Although they don't have the similar style of presenting themselves, both series follows the format in which deals with master/servants in the conflict of a game. The winner of the game will achieve not only glory but also a reward. Each servant from both series is unique and possesses their own abilities. It is however also up to the guide of their masters to achieve victory. Both series also contains supernatural themes.
Both of these deal about a Servant with his Master, who followed a survival game... Alice Game (Rozen Maiden) and Holy Grail War (Fate/stay night).
