The animation is kinda similiar, and both have kickass action, but R+V stresses the ecchi aspect a lot more.
Both series utilize bright colors and a more classic style for animation. Both deal with the supernatural. While one deals with the afterlife, the other deals with monsters existing without the afterlife connection. Both also involve a main character who was originally just human.
