The protagonist is always screaming and crying in the face of danger. In both the series, the protagonist just wants to be left alone. They also share the common theme of murder and mystery. Also, the protagonist eventually learn to except their roles in the story and the final battle takes place towards the end (as in any other typical story!). Nevertheless, they are both very good anime, very closely related if you watch the entire series (or even just the first episode or two), and well worth watching!
Suspense and possible death just around the corner. Crazy pink-haired girls that seems to turn from friend to enemy in the blink of an eye (at the beginning of both stories anyways).
Similarities: -Both are set in modern times -Main character is introverted and paranoid -Pink-haired girl leads main character through a mystery, while hiding her own secrets -Main character develops a relationship with the pink-haired girl -Supporting characters with similar supernatural powers appear Differences: -Mirai Nikki is much more suspenseful and nerve-wrecking -Chaos head eventually loses its horror/psychological feel

Both have this "blow your mind"-setting that keeps you constantly wondering about what actually goes on. At both series you have to think hard pretty to follow the storyline but keeps very much space for surprises. The gory scenes are pretty equal too. Both heros are very similar in character. Rimi (ChäosHead) is pretty much a second Yuno (at least by appearence). At first it felt like a weird sequel to Mirai Nikki but then the story kicked in ;)
Not so much in plot, or whatnot, but they both have kind of a creepy atmosphere about them, and, like Mirai Nikki, Chaos;Head has some pretty good mindf*** moments to it also
both girls are a little bit insane, and the main characters are both terrified of the girl, but still follows them around they both have about the same horrorish felling about them, but not as extreme as Mirai Nikki
the characters are quite alike, the main character being a boy they don't think they are worthy and are quite outcast from the rest of the world and suddenly a girl also being a main character bring them back to humanity essentially an we constantly question can we trust the people surrounding the characters and often question them themselves
Main character (Male) is both protected by the female, both include each other loving, and action is similar
Both have chaotic plots that become nonsensical over time, pink haired female protagonists, and a strange preoccupation with god. They also both have plot holes and huge casts that are utilized poorly. I would argue Mirai Nikki is worse on both these accounts, though that is not the general consensus.
both focus on a lone wolf mc and being caught up with strange events with an unusual type of girl.
