both DBZ and Saint seiya are the best and most popular shounen anime of the 90's. If you haven't seen it yet, you can't miss this jewel. Both Train the Chi/ki/cosmos (spiritual energy) and the battles are epic, Saint seiya is a little more balanced and emotional/passionate so you'll find it similar to the great Gohan SS2/Cell battles :)
Dragn Ball Z and Saint Seiya, both true legendary anime series. Both series involves fights, special skills and techniques, and based in an specific culture (Dragon Ball was originally based in chinese culture, Saint Seiya was based in greek culture). Both series talks about an orphan boy who trains himself and fights to become in the strongest warrior (Goku and Seiya).
