Just your typical or maybe I should say, not-so-typical slice of life series. Tonari no Seki-kun and Watamote depicts slice of life but in a bit of an irregular way when we see how our main characters live their days. The main protagonists (male in Tonari no Seki-kun, female in Watamote) are both anti-social and have creative minds. What they do at school or around others are things that we might consider to be strange at times. The interactions they have with others is not very natural and can come off as bizarre. Yet, both series adapts well with comedy especially with the ingenious creativity
