Both series have amazing art and the fights are very detailed. The main characters of each series goes through a lot of inner turmoil on their journey to become the strongest.

Both the manga have psychological fights. Though the setting is different, both of them are full of fights. And in both the cases it's not the action, but the thought process behind the fights that matters. It's the immense thought put in each blow, intensity of the opponent portrayed through magnificent artwork and the internal conflicts going within the protagonists that is depicted.
Watch a young and naive fighter grow up in front of your eyes and become a compassionate person. Great fights (although they're more frequent in Holyland), great art (let's be honest though, few Manga compare to Vagabond in terms of art).
Both of these manga show the main protagonists that struggle but make it through, becoming stronger and finding peace. Very similar feel to Vagabond, definitely worth a read in my opinion.
