When it comes to characteristics, Akatsuki no Yona and InuYasha are very much alike. Both have two strong female characters. Every time I lay my eyes on Yona, I can always see of her as Kagome. Maybe because they've become stronger from the first chapter down to the last. Both are also like historical animes. Both are in search of something; AnY is searching for the four dragons while InuYasha is in search of the remaining shikon jewels. More old fashioned than AnY, InuYasha also takes place in a fantasy setting with youkai rather than dragons. InuYasha was my gateway into manga and anime, and I love both greatly. Both have some involvement of betrayal from a past love, and how the main characters come to terms with that.
