While attack on titan isnt the first anime to do this its definitely the first one to popularize it.When I think of split anime cours attack on titan is my (probably many) first anime to pop up in their mine.

Especially this season in particular

I know this more of two part specials but cmon. I still cant believe "attack on titan part 3 part 1" actually became real even if the part 1 is technically just one hour special and not actual batch of episodes.

This the first anime that did the 2 split cours first but then did 2 consecutive cours in its next season. Will re zero be next? Only time will tell.

Yes this does count. Netfix has both cours group together and so as many other websites/streaming services dont @ me

Still piss that netfix decided to release all episodes at once instead of weekly

This is one the split cours I like to call "big arc cours" which I wouldnt be surprised become more popular in the future especially with big battle shoenen animes

The oldest anime I could find to do this

One of two anime split cour anime currently airing.Just hope this one doesn't have as many delays as its first cour.

Hasn't aired yet but I find this one interesting because supposedly its going to be both split and consecutive with 24 episodes which would be a third (jojo part 3 and urusei yatsura technically did it first tho unlike this one both the cours were 24 episodes) if that's true. Considering this is also done by white fox I wouldn't be surprised if this happens to re zero too.

These next few entries are what I like to call "called season 2 but are actually 2 cour". These ones are called season 2 by mal but the episoedes aee listed as part of the same season in the websites/streaming that it is avalible. Im only adding the ones I know about if Im missing any series that fits this please let me know.

This last has been confirm to have split cours but seems like mal hasnt added them yet. I will probably update this list and add them once someone on mal officially adds it
