I am a Bleach fan and I have notices so many similarities when I have started watching Jujutsu Kaisen. Characters (both personality and apperance-wise), atmosphere of the universe, how the events occur and such... So I decided to search up for it and I saw I wasn't alone thinking like this. There is an interview made with both series mangakas and apparently, Jujutsu Kaisen's mangaka said they decided to write a manga after they have read Bleach for the first time. Mangaka openly said they have influenced from Bleach. I guess that's enough reason to check it out Bleach if you like Jujutsu Kaisen. You

Naruto and Bleach both synomonous with action animes. when you hear bleach the next anime that you would think of would be naruto... if you like it that is. they both are epic anime with outstanding character devlopement and plots so intricate you might would who were the brillant minds to think of this (I did anyway...) also there is some comic relief, a little bit of romance, and tons of serious parts too. and they're great for anyone

Fighting and great character development. Because of the expanse of different characters, there is bound to be one (or a couple) that instantaneously become your favorite.

Both deal with supernatural evils and both fight with swords that each character has as a unique fighting style with. The set up of the warriors ranks and titles are very similar for both the good and bad sides. When watching this show my mind kept screaming Bleach (In a good way) and I think anyone who enjoyed Demon Slayer should at least give Bleach a look and vice versa.

Both are about boys who meet a woman and gain the ability to fight in her world. Without giving too much away the story lines have similarities with character and plot development. Busou Renkin is however not as serious as Bleach, which is refreshing and also has a good end point.

Well... Both are adventures of inumerous characters, each one with his own power and distinct personality, against the evil guys. I didn't get this part of the anime yet, but people said me that it has fillers like all those other similar series (as Naruto, Dragon Ball, etc...). For me, these animes are all the same after all...

Simular setting as soul eater: Shinigami fighting monsters who feed of human souls. Comedy, action and romance elements are also present in both series. The animation style is different though, soul eater has cartoonesk elements while bleach has a more common animation style

Both have a group of people or beings that are dedicated to disposing a certain group of evil. They both have a really nice storyline.

Similar premises of Magic Knights and Soul Reapers being in squads that serve their respective countries. The creator of Black Clover stated that Bleach was an inspiration for his series.

Shonen anime....both about the main character wanting to protect their friends/nakama. In order to do that they strive to become stronger and learn from others.

Noragami is like Bleach without all the fillers. The main characters meet in a similar way, one of them (Ichigo/Hiyori) gets a power thanks to the other one (Rukia/Yato). In both animes they fight against ghosts/monsters and there are more characters that come from a different world where it's quite normal to have the powers to see (and fight) those monsters.

Bleach and Fairy Tail are both action packed but with a bit of humor slipped in. With pretty much unstoppable heroes the action is constant and both stories could seemingly go on forever. Both heroes travel and fight with groups and have a close feeling of comradery for the group members.

Both of these Anime have fighting scenes, sword play and monsters that need to be taken care of. There is also the theme of hell, less played up in Bleach. One of the major themes is protecting others, and another is being accepted for who you are.
report Recommended by Yemi_Hikari
Both male leads meet mysterious girls who have knowledge of things beyond the normal world. Flame Hazes are basically Shinigami and Torches are similar to ghosts.

Bleach is clearly inspired in Saint Seiya and this is more noticeable in the Soul Society saga which is very similar to the 12 Gold Saints Saga. The Bleach Captains looks a lot with 12 Gold Saints, both looks "unbeatable" and the power gab between the protagonist and they are initially giant.

Many similarities between both series. There's young typical boy who is attending school, but after few minutes, we can see, that there's much more about him and that's not to be only his delinquent's habits. First episode shows us characters from different world, who came to our place, because of their own reasons. I didn't read manga, but I think, there will be many many more charas, so we are receiving another "never ending story".

TONS of Bleach references in Gintama, also the characters are similar and both have that punk-shonen feel!
report Recommended by BadLuckTuck
Both have lots of sword fights with samurai or ppl who look like sumurai and have to deal with demon slaying

it occurs in the west branch of soul society but also the fact that it holds the feeling of a Tite Kubo work with great fights, waifus and animation.
report Recommended by ShinXShinra
Both animes treat them of samurais and both characters want to have to be able more to protect the people that them more they love. They struggle for the justice and no matter how strong the enemy is, they never abandon the battlefield and nor they give up the fight, taking a risk their own lives to save the people.

Both of these shows have male characters who start out as the rookie, but quickly acquire skills. The main character in both end up battling it out with increasingly powerful opponents and then often make friends with these opponents afterwards. Both have supporting friends who are not as powerful, but help out all they can. Air Gear definitely shares that similar shounen/action vibe.

While Bleach and naruto achieved massive popularity outside Japan, Kekkaishi seems very underrated outside Japan. Consistently in the top 10 in terms of viewership in Japan, kekkaishi shares the same shounen genre as its other more popular counterparts. while it does not boast legions of characters or long names for techniques, it takes the simple and often overlooked technique, the kekkai and expands it, giving it a fresher twist.

They are similar by the share intensity of each and every episode. You just want more and more. Its kind of hard holding back untill two episodes go past. But in comparison these two are both great

In bleach, when a human dies it either becomes a whole, whole, a person whole goes to the soul society, or they become a wandering spirt, which then turns into a hollow when they are preyed on by a hollow, or stay in the human world for too long. Ichigo, the main character of Bleach had a vendetta with a certain hollow in one of the first few episodes, much akin to the main character of Shingeki no Kyojin. Also both the main characters are very determined, stubborn, and bear a will of steel.
report Recommended by KuroNoTaiyou
Similar in many ways: Hollow = Trion Soldiers Arrancar = Neighbor Seireitei = Border The only major difference is Bleach have only 1 protagonist(Ichigo) while World Trigger have 2 protagonists(Yuma and Osamu/dual protagonist sort of thing)

it's got the fantastic fights that go on for episodes at a time, it has the fantastic plots, defeating enemies ten times stronger than you, losing, then training then winning, the main character always faced with constant challenges, when i watched this, i couldn't help but think that i hadn't seen such a good fighting anime since DBZ. though many of the characters are nothing like each other, the style of the anime's are the same, if you enjoyed DBZ, go for bleach!
report Recommended by Chenoan
The characters in both shows are the kind that pull one along in the story, wondering what will happen to them next.

Long shounen anime filled with action, comedy, and plenty of similarities, both in style, characters, and plot. In both, the male protagonists are normal students at the beginning, but pretty soon they gain a death-related super power in an almost identical manner (Ichigo becomes a Shinigami after being hit by Rukia/Tsuna gets his power after being shot in the head by Reborn). Bleach is more on the supernatural side, while Reborn is about the mafia world.
report Recommended by RenaPsychoKiller
Similar premise, both involve demons/hollows and have similar weaponry that is reminiscent of bleach with weapon enhancements and a similar bow and arrow to the ones Quincy's used in Bleach. Both have strong male lead characters and deal a lot with morals and honor.
report Recommended by Nikoru-san
Both anime are based on the supernatural and contain a very likable male lead. Both are high action, very high comedy, and have impeccable animation. Both also have a lot of in-depth backstory that draws the audience in.
report Recommended by CrimsonShocker
when i first watch xxxHolic i really think that is similar to Bleach cause both of the main characters involve with spirits <watanuki and ichigo> then when they met a girl <yuuko and rukia> their life started to changed
report Recommended by yuki_00
Two main characters that are both extremely overpowered. Other than Saitama, whose journey is literally to find someone who can beat him, Ichigo seems to be one of the quickest Shounen protags in developing his skills. He just seems gifted from the being.
report Recommended by Nyaominyan
Young delinquentish main character fight against fashion models and uses same powers as his enemies. Some dudes don't like it so he fight them and blah-blah-blah-blah-blah...

Bleach and Kuroko no Basuke have a lot of similarities, even thought they pretty different in concept. Both of them have some sort of supernatural elements, every character have his own uniqe ability and it all filled with similar type of humor. Some characters personalities and even their design sometimes looks really alike. Both features bishonens, so if you watch it solely for pretty boys, you won't be disapointed.
report Recommended by NoBleachNoLife
In addition to having a similar premise, Shaman King also has an offbeat feel to it, just like Bleach. If you can sit through a few of the early episodes(Which try to be Yu Yu Hakusho meets Yugioh), a great adventure show waits just beneath the surface. Both shows have a unique protagonist.
report Recommended by PequeninoMikhail
Both series have extremly similar protagonist and premise - main character is forced to fight supernatural creatures to protect his friends and family, both are great mix of fight scenes, drama and a little bit of comedy.

People that like Bleach and also like (mild) Shounen Ai, might also like Monochrome Factor! There are a lot of things similar! The main character is a young boy that can see things that others can't, and he has to transform to fight them. Also, Bleach & Monochrome Factor have both funny scenes & fighting scenes.

the two animes are about spirits, in addition to finding similar characters and both have an awesome storyline

The main character of both series acquires a power of another creature without him really wanting it. Due to this his whole life changes and he has to adept to his power and learn to live it. That's not all, now people also want to kill him. If you like dark action based stories, then you should watch these anime. The action and powers in htem are very cool and exciting!

Similar style of story, supernatural powers, shinigami reference, and antagonists of each main arc whose role are identical. Not to mention that the main characters Yusei and Ichigo both are powerful who is essential to saving the world from evil.

Bleach has Shinigami and Hollows, Yumekui Merry has Dreams. Hollows who escape from Hueco Mundo are bad, and Dreams who escape the Dreamworld are bad. During Yumekui Merry, there are times when the exact same music from Bleach is used. Not all Dreams are bad though. Some of them fight against other Dreams to protect humans, like Shinigami do to Hollows.

Fighting and ok/decent plots. They are the kind of anime you watch for the action but don't drop because the plot remains fairly interesting.
report Recommended by eklie
Both are supernatural anime, have samurai organizations who fight some monsters (in Hakuouki they are humanoid monsters), so far from first episode of Hakuouki samurai seem to have special powers. Most of samurai in Hakuouki tend to have some similarities with Byakuya, the clishe samurai. Hakuouki gives of darker and more serious impression then Bleach. I highly recommend both...

Very similar themes of chivalry and what it means to be a hero. Emphasis on souls and powers associated with personality. Story is short but insanely well done.

High school boy meets a female shinigami and they solve problems involving wandering ghosts (Bleach); high school girl meets a male shinigami and they also solve problems involving wandering ghosts (Kyoukai no Rinne)

These two animes are similar in many different ways - Both main characters are transfered to another world - The main character joins in on the fight in the other world - The main character is stronger than any other people in the world -Both fight with swords (though they are used less in Kiba) -Both main characters have a smart friends who at one point is an enemy, and is stronger than most - The main character saves the other world
report Recommended by Unseen_Traveler
Sword fighting and mysterious monsters, the central theme in both of these series. The main character is on a quest to kill monsters because he wants to make the world a better place to live in. Both of them also get thrown in a situation they weren't expecting and make new friends. The world they live in is ruthless and they have to learn how to survive in order to progress towards their goal.

Main character is male, who fights in order to defeat evil!! Also happens to fight for the one's that they love and want to protect. Not only that, but they both have company and help by other friends that tag along the way and support them. Action and Fighting Scenes!~
report Recommended by LenDrizzle
Typical characters from their genres (and in general) fighting strange demons from another world. Not bad but not good supernatural/action/super power anime. One of the female protagonists do not know how to fight and the main male protagonist wants to protect that female protagonist that don't know how to fight. Main male protagonist was your typical, usual teenage boy until the present. (present=until the anime starts or until a few episodes)
report Recommended by MisaTange
In both shows, the main protagonist gets a whole new view of the world. Namely through Magic/Alchemy and Death Gods/Restorations. They end up in a difficult plot, which can get themselves or the people they want to protect killed. Both situations get out of control as a higher evil organization starts to meddle. Both action-packed, with the needed amount of humor and variaty of characters.
report Recommended by Ilyaoh
Supernatural killings bring about both stories born from suffering, or threat of a family member. Introduction of the characters from then on stem from the supernatural occurrence.

Somehow some character designs made me think of Bleach. Also the 'Branch of Sin' ability in Deadman Wonderland made me think of 'Bankai' in Bleach. They're both skills multiple characters can perform, but it depends on the character how it actually can be used in battle.

A shounen with a, in my opinion, little more mature approuch than Bleach, sacrificing a little bit of fighting for a lot more psychology etc. A must-watch in my opinion!
report Recommended by Stroeum
Trigun is a hilarious comedy but when the going gets tough for the characters it gets serious. They are both very similar. Ichigo Kurosaki from Bleach is trying to save the world from evil spirits called Hollows. Vash the Stampede from Trigun is trying to save himself from the brink of INSANITY!
report Recommended by Spartacus
Both these series are based heavily in their fight scenes, and they make the fight scenes look GOOD. They have their comedic moments and tragic moments. And the colours in the god of high school are very vivid, making each panel amazing pieces of art. It is similar to bleach in the way that despite it's huge cast, all the characters are fleshed out and well developed. I highly recommend The God Of High School as well as giving bleach, the legendary member of the big 3 from the past a try, I swear it isn't just hype.
report Recommended by Kong38
Both the Anime have a dark story line that progressively gets darker. The latter style of Bleach is similar to the style Kamisama Dolls has. On top of this one of the characters is very similar to Ichimaru Gin... they're both creepy in similar manners. It is also about fighting to protect what you care about.
report Recommended by Yemi_Hikari
Gods and powerful humans fighting together. Large swords, power-ups, 2 different levels (in Bleach it's bankai, but it's just level 2 in Ueki). Both protagonists get powerful much quicker than normal through hard work and sheer will. If you like Bleach, I'm sure you'll like Ueki also :)

Hellsing and Bleach are two action packed animes that any action/shounen lover would love. Both have badass Prot with power out of world, plenty of fights to keep u glued and lots of blood to make it feel real. Both have supernatural element that is- Vampires in Hellsing and Shinigami in Bleach, and ofc there are big bad villians who must stand in their way. the main character is kurosaki ichigo who is quite similar to alucard in the hellsing series..
