These two anime are completely different in plot but in characters you can definitely see a similarity... The main characters Ryuji and Taiga have a very interesting relationship.. one of a master and her dog (like Louise and Saito)... In both anime the characters share a close relationship in which the chibi fearsome female dominates the male...very interesting to watch.. (both females have the same voice actor as well..)

From episode one it was easy to tell who SHOULD REALLY be going out, even though they both try to go for other boyfriend/girlfriends (in each show), also making me having to cover my mouth in laughter so I wont wake up people and just about falling over from the hilariousness (is that even a word?) of it.

Made by the same people. Both shows are romcoms, and the good kind. Both are very funny but also very dramatic. If you enjoyed one you'll enjoy the other!

Toradora and Sakurasou involve a guy reluctantly taking responsibility for a female classmate that he lives near, but the girl in Sakurasou is a softly-spoken autistic artist, not a troubled tsundere. Sakurasou has a very similar tone to Toradora, and the characters fill comparable but not identical roles. Though Sakurasou initially tries to present itself as a fanservice anime, its real themes are of aspiration, self-expectation, and unreciprocated feelings.

Both are brilliant slice of life high school romcom dramas. It's mainly consisting of comedy (well done comedy) but every so often turn serious and dramatic - pulling heart strings. These can be from issues concerning love or family etc. Both are great watches if you are into romcom high school dramas.

[Spoiler Warning] Both animes have similar stories, like the fact that the two main characters start with a friendship, but at the end of the anime declare themselves to each other in a loving relationship. In Chuunibyou, the characters derive their characteristics because of another person, as Rikka, who decided to change her way of being because of Yuuta, the Dark Flame Master. In Toradora, the characters seem to show feelings for friends of their friends at the beginning of the anime. But throughout history, they realize that actually liked each other. If you saw one of these animes, I think you'll like the other I recommended the same

Many romcoms share similar likenesses, so I could probably list others that match up decently like Chuunibyou, Golden Time, and even Yahari Ore no Seishun and such which others have listed. But I found these two to be similar because of the MC's dynamic/forced relationship with a main girl while the MC's crush is a different person. Both also have typical things like "beach" episodes, romantic tension that occurs during scenes of the MC and female protagonist (though Nisekoi has a bit more romantic tension in its scenes). Both are also comedies and have tsundere leads. The difference is that Nisekoi turns into a harem fairly quickly

Both are very similar. Have the same synchro and the same character - qualities. Synchro~ Kugimiya Rie - Taiga - Shana In these animes is about love. The anime also has what funny, the comedy is there, too.

Ookami-san started to develop into something meaningful other than a plotless comedy over a few episodes. That development focused on romantic struggle of the main couple. Toradora development is pretty much the same, started of funny and increasingly dramatic over time.

- Both have a main boy that everyone is afraid of but in reality he is very sweet and misunderstood. - Both are shoujo with comedy.

wholesome and meaningful romcom that touches deep important topics in every kind of relationship

Yui reminds me of Minori from Toradora and I feel OreGairu has got a lot of inspiration from that series with the lead male as well (though he not only looks delinquent, he pretty much is). Similar storyline pacing and character dialogue/interactions. As a big fan of Toradora I think this one is going to be a must.

Both are lovely sweet love comedies that make you smile. Both have enough depth to be interesting and lovable. <3

Both main characters have scary appearances, but their personalities do not match how they look(or more so, how other people look at them).

Ryuji Somehow reminds me of harima.. they are both looks like delinquent.. but they actually are sweet and kind.. they also have problems to confess their love to the person they like :P

The relationship between the protagonists are really similar (especially the girl main). They both are in a love-hate situation, and is really entertaining. The only thing that differs is that there is no detective work.

-Both are about characters trying to get each other to fall in love with them through various ridiculous methods of appealing to them -Both feature some surprisingly heartfelt drama and excellent character development -Both have similar main characters and some similar supporting characters, as well as a similar atmosphere

Both female leads are tsunderes. The female and male leads in both of these anime have the same seiyuus. Basically, Hidan no Aria (Aria the Scarlet Ammo) is Toradora with guns.

A good guy and a strong tsundere-girl. Now they are argueing but this will surely lead to love!

Lead male complained and avoided by his delinquent appearance but a nice guy in the inside, also both live alone with a naive and not completely independent female whom they care while doing the housekeeping. They both also interact with a set of ladies in an institute environment.

I am not sure if I can really link those two with something as precise as similiar characters but I for one enjoyed Toradora as much as I enjoyed Sukitte Ii na yo. They are both romance anime, both female leads are kind of misunderstood even if it's not in the same way and are both wonderful people once you get to know them. The male leads have both very unique characters and both anime make you feel that little tingly feeling that makes you want to burst whenever something good happens. Ultimately, all characters are tangled in a romance that in the case of Toradora

Toradora! reminds me a lot of Midori no hibi Ryuuji and Seiji are very similar. both epic and funny as hell. both animes have the same genres, except for toradora not being echii, and are good entertainment. both worth watching, thats for sure!

-short female lead, both in height and temper -patient and reliable male lead -likable supporting characters -love-triangle drama

Start of like a comedy and increasingly develop intense drama. Both are adolescent stories with youths going for their life goal, or new life.

The female protagonist of Hiyokoi -Hiyorin- have the shy character of Sawako (from Kimi ni Todoke), and have the same appereance of Taiga (from Torodora) and in terms of height Yuushin and her are the opposite of Risa and Atsushi (from Lovely Complex). The story of Hiyoko iis similiar to these 3 animes as well.

If you watched Clannad you have to watch Toradora. They are very similar story-wise and the characters are sort of similar too. I would say Toradora had more entertainment while maintaining the I-love-her-and-she-loves-me-yet-other-girls-like-him-too sort of atmosphere. Yeah it'll most likely help you get out of the sadden state if you watched Clannad.

A story about a determined protagonist who has to take care of a rude but at the same time weak girl with a tsundere personality. It also has the potential to turn into a real drama.

Mio and Taiga's personalities are very similar, in the case that they are both tsundere toward the male lead.

Most of the ToraDora! staff returns to make AnoHana. With a similar comedic yet melancholic feel to every episode and the effect of seeing noticeably alike character designs, you can't go too far into either series without noticing that the other shares analogous characteristics. ToraDora! is for those who prefer realistic and well-paced drama while AnoHana holds true for the opposite.

Both story revolves in a high school, and the heroine, Hanazono Hikari is as powerful as Aisaka Taiga. A great story which do not let the side characters go down, as well as great soundtracks...

Both aired in Fall of 08 and have similar style comedy. While Kannagi has more ecchi and parody-centric comedy, Toradora is more slice-of-life/romantic comedy. Both animes are made great because of the characters.
