The first time I saw Tomodachi Game was while I was watching the following anime of the spring season, I found it by chance and for some reason it immediately caught my attention and that was without even reading the synopsis, nor seeing the KV that it had in that moment where only the "friends" together were noticed. No, that was not what caught my attention, the title was. "Tomodachi game" or the friendship games, for some reason the title caught my attention and immediately became the anime I was most looking forward to this season for which I hadn't read the manga. And when ... the first chapter arrived I was not disappointed at all.

Story - 10/10
The story is about a group of 5 friends who one day are kidnapped and taken to participate in something called "Tomodachi game" this because one of their friends had a debt of 20 million yen, therefore to pay it they have to Participate in different games where your debt will be reduced or in some cases increased, what happens is that in these games two factors are tested "money and friendship" What is more important to you? Money? 'Friendship? Would you be willing to lose millions of yen just to save your friends? Do you trust that they would do the same? That's what the Tomodachi Games prove. Each of the games taking place this season proves that and each one changes some factor but leads to the same question. And it is and incredible ride to watch.

Art 7/10
The art is the worst part of the anime and if it is quite mediocre to say the least compared to the manga, although the character design is very faithful to the manga, the animation is bad. I think this is due to the small budget that the animation studio has since it is a studio with little renown that took its first big manga to adapt without having a big budget. The reason I give it a 7 is because they did the best they could and stayed true to the manga with the small budget.
But maybe I'm somewhat biased.

Sound 9/10
The opening is a banger without a doubt, Nana Mizuki did an incredible job with the song and left me listening to it for quite some time. The ending is also a great song Saji did very well and it was a perfect song to listen to after each cliffhanger.
There weren´t many big shots in the cast but the voice acting quality is unexpectedly excellent, Especially the Yuuichi one, that was an insane VA
performance.

Character 9/10
The characters are a fundamental part of the story and the truth is that they are all quite interesting.
Yuuchi our protagonist is without a doubt one of the best protagonists of recent years at the level of protagonists like ayanokouji from Classroom of Elite. He is a totally unexpected character that you never know what he is thinking and manages to solve the problems he faces without you knowing how. The interesting thing here is that in the whole group of 5 friends you can't trust any of them, they just all have something that makes you doubt them.

Enjoyment 10/10
I really enjoyed it, it is the anime that I enjoyed the most this season and the first one that I will dedicate time to write a review for, each chapter left me wanting to know more and I never took my eyes off the screen while I was watching it. Every day I waited for the time the chapter came out just to be able to see it, at that level I enjoyed it. And me being a huge fan of High Stakes Games even more.



To finish, I really recommend this anime for people who like to think about how to win or solve puzzles or find some way to find the loopholes in a game. Or people who love High Stakes Games. Or if you like smart protagonists like Ayanokouji from Clasroom of Elite or Senku from Dr. stone. Or even if you're not a big fan at least try to watch the first 6 episodes, not the first 3, the first 3 may turn off a lot of people because of the direction it looks like it's going to go but I'm serious, try to watch it, you might like it.

Adaptation of the Tomodachi Game, the best money game after Kaiji, made me feel strange. Animation feels off, pacing feels off, but it is still enjoyable (probably because I read the manga and I know how good it is)

STORY 10/10
The 3 episodes rule is probably going to make people drop this series, because it's "predictable". I would say the story is getting amazing when MC shows his skills.
This series is not simple. There are plot twists and pretty neat stuff. (I was not sure who the real traitor is until it gets revealed, because ... it could be anyone, and boy I was confused)

ART 5/10
The weakest point of this adaptation. It is chaotic, and I can imagine how strange it is for anime only. Still, it's not terrible, just mediocre at best. Not much sakuga, art style is changing etc.

SOUND 9/10
Soundtracks are one of the best aspects of this series, especially one ost from the trailer fits this series pretty well. Opening and ending are top-notch.

CHARACTER 8/10
Anime is making their relationship look surreal, so I gave only 8, but in manga characters are pretty deep and their actions are reasonable. There is still potential for anime to make this aspect better.

ENJOYMENT 8/10
This adaptation is enjoyable, but I would still go read the manga if I were you.

This is a very biased review since I've never done it before!
High Stake Game might be a sub-category of Battle Royale but srsly, please don't group Tomodachi Game with the likes of Squid Game or other BR series that features deaths in their concepts.
I feel like I must write one, since I'm fed up with an unseen wave of haters who delibrately try to lower the overall score and lure audiences away from an adaptation of such outstanding manga in the genre of High Stake Game.
Let me be honest, the original manga is extraordinary, in terms of storywriting, plot, character building, psychological warfare and game ... theory aspects.
STORY:
10/10 - Biased! From a big fan of Psychological & High Stake Game genre.
Unbiased, it's a tad different with masterpieces of High Stake Game like Liar Game but I can say the story can stand itself on equal ground with ease, it even show a bit more depth and complexity in the progress later on.
Unbiased, I'm sad to admit that the scriptwriter is likely inexperienced or st as the decision for content cut might confuse anime-only watchers.
ART:
6/10 - Unbiased!
Character design is quite faithful to the original but a bit lack of depth, it seems like the budget for this anime is not very high.
Animation-wise, it just sucks. Don't expect many realistic or smooth movements and transitions.
Background-wise, not bad at all, seems accurate but not excellent either.
Finally, VFX & CGI-wise, it's a nightmare with random use of CGI for the mascot of the show and some of the VFX ain't blend in at all.
SOUND:
9/10 - Biased!
Subjectively speaking, SFX and BGM are outstanding.
Objectively speaking, not many big shots in the cast but the voice acting quality is unexpectedly excellent!
Many seem to like both the OP and ED so I was swayed here.
Tbh, the OP just can't click for me while the ED does catch me but it can't capture me completely.
CHARACTER:
10/10 - Biased!
Anime-only audiences might not be able to see it after just 3 episodes imo because character development will come later and bit by bit. I can guarantee this without spoilers.
And as a manga reader, I promise the characters of the show do have very unique and quirky traits with such depth and complexity.
For our mc, I can only say he's just unlike others. It might be controversial but for me, he's just perfect in his own way.

I'm a die hard fan of Tomodachi Game and High Stake Game genre, ofc it's 10/10 for me as it gets an anime adaptation.
If you are also manga readers, just go both, the original manga alone is worth your time.
Fyi, the live action adaptation which is released way before this was region-locked and underrated but it was also a very excellent adaptation. (It's even better than the anime for me, in terms of directing and scriptwriting)
P.S:
-Good and excellent psychological works don't show their hands quickly, don't prematurely judge this or blindly trust some random early reviews. There are hater's among them.
-If you love to lose braincell and/ or you are a person who love trying to solve puzzles or exploit games' loopholes, this show is for you.
-Finally, I admit this show is a low quality adaptation, even with top-notch source materials, my honest review should have been ~ 7.5 but I maded this public review with a 9 out of spite and anger at a bunch of haters or some braindead maniac who refer this to the like of Squid Game or expect some deaths to happen like others Battle Royales stories. C'mon y tf u expect deaths in High Stake Game? It's a subcategory but u can't differentiate them? And for me, I have enjoyed Squid Game and turned a blind eye on the controversial plagiarism until this wave of hate against my favourite manga. Haters, get a life plz; SG's fan, go read some original works that released way before your SG with such similarities in the games and structures and don't use the bs excuse like "SG's author started his concept from 2009" or st, it's just pure nobrainer bs.

Best Mc this season Katagiri Yuuichi and his friends gets in a debt and now they get a on journey to get rid of the debt.

All the games are so well made, giving proper backstory nad proper character development to most of them character u might face pacing issue at the start but it get better episode after episode and u wouldn't realize when it becomes so exciting u ... will wait for a whole week just to see the next banger.

Saw some people saying it is too fictional and imaginary, bruh meanwhile there is sci fi school where they repeat previous year question and somebody knows it so he becomes perfect human. 😂😂😂

One of the best anime this season, at least better than those slice of life shit.

Tomodachi game is like squid game x among us gone right. That's right, it's a story about a group of friends who struggle in a series of 'friendship' games to repay their debt and figure out who the imposter is. As the story unfolds, we are able to see characters choose between money and friends, revealing the influence of a capitalist society on human beings (especially young adults). I find the main character, Katagiri Yuuichi, very relatable to myself since despite his poor upbringing, he manages to become smart and handsome. Although I believe I am the reincarnation of Katagiri Yuuichi, I will ... try my best to be unbiased throughout this review.

Plot: 10/10
It was so good squid game and among us chose to copy its plot. The idea is so genius not even AOT can compete. As a manga reader, there are many unpredictable and complex plot twists which are explained leaving room for ZERO plot holes. It doesn't add any meaningless plot twists and the story remains consistent. It's hard to believe an anime such as Tomodachi Game can pull this off better than Death Note. I believe only people with high intellect such as myself can appreciate tomodachi game's incredible plot and storytelling.

Art: 10/10
Do I need to say anymore? LOOK AT MANABU-KUN how did the anime adaptation do him so well like I fell in love with him the moment he appeared on my screen.

Sound: 9/10
The opening and ending is very good. It is only episode 4 but no OST's have stood out to me yet. The sound has the potential to be 10/10 if it has a unique soundtrack playing in the back like fly me to the moon by squid game.

Characters: 10/10
Manabu-kun hard carries the characters. He is genuinely so funny and likeable. Without him, Tomodachi Game would never be this good. Every character has a unique backstory which explains their personalities and although it has only been 4 episodes, I have such a huge emotional attachment to Manabu-Kun. I don't know how I will live without seeing him animated after the 12 episodes are done.

Enjoyment: 10/10
I was kept at the edge of my seat the entire time without a single moment where I was like "damn this is so boring". I find myself trying to find the imposter the entire time and whenever my predictions and calculations are on point, I feel so smart. Definitely worth the watch.

Overall: 10/10
This anime gives me such a good escape from reality and if I did have tomodachis in real life, I would definitely try to play this game with them.

Of many similar shows like Tomodachi Game, this show is one of the least offensive and with minimum focus on sexual factors.

Not putting too many complex genres is probably the best way to achieve immersion and enjoyment in this type of show. This is what the show has nicely done in these early episodes. They add something new in each episode in the form of the titular games. They subtly explore the personality in each interaction between characters and the game itself, which made kept me going this far.

The show is also visually appealing in a way that not only the animation help to amplify ... the dramatic effects, but the expressions, the gestures, and much little detail was also drawn in a way that expresses the story non-verbally. The near realistic art style might help on that point. Even though I might not remember the casts as that girl with starkly bright colored hair, as they all have somewhat natural hair colors, I'm more likely to remember those nasty facial expressions.

I have to say the opening is a hit. Nana Mizuki probably made the OP that much more memorable and helped set up the atmosphere for the show. The opening animation might have spoilers, but I might be just dumb that I don't think it isn't that obvious. The BGM pick is also fantastic. They made sure to put good distinctions even in the sound department, like when drama scenes happen.

Having no clear antagonist made this show more enjoyable. It kept my interest in each cast so I could gauge their motive, personality, etc. The character depth is yet to be known, and I honestly am worried. How will the group dynamic go from here? Will there be enough justification for these excessive layers of twists and folds? But, rather than thinking about whether they sounded realistic or not, I was instead amused by how they reacted. At least it made me understand their persona for now.

If nothing else, I can't wait to see the end of all this character development (or deterioration). Hopefully not as bad as that CGI mascot character. And no, I don't mind how he looked as much as how his character is, even though he's technically the one who narrates the story and reminds me of the story after each episode.

Would manga fans like this adaptation? I would say so. Having someone voice a scream, for example, enables another layer of immersion in the story. I can understand right away that Kokorogi, for another example, is the shy but cutesy character just by how the VA voiced her. Because I might just remember her as the sexual appeal of the show if I just look at her character design.

Whether someone who is not that familiar with Japanese culture can appreciate this show is another matter entirely, though. The show revolves around the darker parts of several unique sub-cultures that you most likely would only find in Japan. So I would understand if someone cannot enjoy it as much because the show implies that you comprehend the underlying premises.

Of course, I might read the manga later. Especially if the studio won't make a sequel. I think I would enjoy the series more because I can retrace all this drama back to the root again. And there's nothing wrong with just appreciating the show per episode and binging the anime or reading the manga later on.

Been enjoying this so far. Might even go far as pre-nominate it as my possible favorite of the season. If only I didn't get too invested and get disgusted once in a while...

You might be asking why I give it 10/10 even those it is not perfect but for me it is perfect.

Let me start off with the story: You might say that this story is trash so let's talk about it: He got a letter mail in the door and then he read it and goes to school, like I mean it was in the night of the day like I mean who the hell goes to school just because you got letters from nowhere, you could have talked to them tomorrow or on the phone but here my opinion, I would have done the same ... thing, if my friend left me letters then I will go to check out if he needs something from me or if I didn't have his phone number.10/10

The art of this anime is very perfect and no more to say about it.10/10

Let's Talk about the opening song because I don't know how many times I watch anime that does have not a good opening song and this anime is by far the greatest opening anime of all time. I keep listening to it so many times because of how good the opening song it is. The more you listen to the opening song, the more you will love it. The sound of this anime is good and fits with everything.10/10

Now let's start with the character because every character has a story of himself: I will be honest every character in this anime is stupid but one person who is not stupid is Yuichi because he tries his best to figure out who is the person who stole the money from Shibo and try to figure out who is it.10/10

The enjoyment of this anime is insanely good because I watch every episode and oh my goodness how good it is just to know what will happen next. We can all agree that this anime is disgusting but it is so fun to see how will this anime will end.10/10

Let's end this review with the overall of this anime: Some people might not like this anime but I will tell you something, You will have fun watching this anime to the end of the episode, and I recommend it to everyone, and that all I will say.10/10

I'm really enjoying this show. I know some people might see the premise of the "game" as a little flimsy, and I can admit that I did too (why didn't they all just walk away from the very beginning?), but once you get past that, it's a really enjoyable watch and the best part is that it keeps you guessing, in a good way.

Even when you absolutely know what's going to happen, you're still shocked by what happens. Even when you've seen the cliché 100 times, it still manages to twist it just enough to surprise you.

That's why I rate the show as high as ... I did. Once you realize that the show is actually giving you subtle clues all along (very subtle but they're there) then you realize how much fun it is to try to figure out what's going to happen next.

If you enjoy psychological thrillers (but without the violence), then this is definitely for you.

Tomodachi Game is not squid game or danganronpa rip off , please don't lump this manga with those two series. Tomodachi game is not only well written but really interesting and has a handful of interesting characters that run the show. The plot and games involves a lot of strategies and quick thinking that I have barely never seen in other mangas. The manga never ceases to catch me off guard whenever I think that I have seen through the loopholes and the outcome of many situations and I absolutely loved it and I think that you ... guys also would. The cherry on the top would without a doubt be the main character, Yuuichi whom has earn my respect and catches me off guard in every single chapter. Even the admins who know the games by heart and all the loopholes have no idea how yuuichi is thinking and going to react he is just built different. The best words to describe would be ''unpredictable'' and ''evil'' call me crazy but I am straight up going to say that he is as dangerous as the likes of L, Light and even ayanokoji. you just dont wanna mess with him. he truly is a unique character that I believe quite a lot of people will enjoy.

Tomodachi game, really reminds a lot of r6 with story based games. To be honest, when I started watching it, I didn't have high expectations, but I was soon surprised by the characters' extremely captivating personality. The mystery that surrounds each of them makes you want to know more and more who the culprit is, the direction helps a lot in this aspect with great clear ranges that make you always come back next week to watch a new ep

The op and ed were wonderful also giving a very mysterious air to all the characters making you not know who is the traitor among them.
The unfolding of the story is very satisfying because we don't have any kind of winding and everything is very dynamic
The games played are all interesting in their own way, even a silly game like rock paper scissors is extremely interesting to watch thanks to the direction that made every ep extremely captivating
Katagiri Yuuichi has a crazy and insane personality is the type of protagonist who is very endearing and makes you like him a lot for not getting caught up in dumb and idiotic questions
His cold, psychopathic, analytical manner is totally captivating to my eyes.
Although the other characters are also very interesting, it's kind of sad to see that none of them have the slightest chance against the protagonist, this makes it all too easy, like it or not, because we always know he's going to win in the end, but even so, the story does. so that these small script convenience problems don't get in the way of the script so much because even so, the characters manage to hurt him making his victories come at a high price

After reading others reviews, I thought of describing my experience watching this anime. Possible spoilers ahead, read at your volition.

The basic premise of the story is simple. The main character plays a psychological games against / with your friends to decrease their total debt. It is similar to Squid Game but without the gore.

Story:

The story is great. The beginning is seriously lacking, but it improves over time. It's mostly because the way that the studio introduced the game is atrocious. They were given an option to leave the game? Just leave, its not your debt. The characters were shallow, their backstories was ... full of contradictions. After some pretty obvious hints, you notice that the main character is more complex than black and white. The games were slightly confusing, and gave the main an appearance that were super intelligent and what not. Still

Art & Sound:

The art in itself is basic. Its nothing special, but its not so bad that its unwatchable. Personally, this genre is not fit nor has the budget to have high end graphics and amazing scenes. What saves it the most, are the transitions from normal conversation, to the gruesome side of the story. I think it builds tension, and it adds the good, old twisteroo.

Character:

The general side characters are basic af. They have a stereotypical personalities that are that of a high school student, they just don't stand out. What the studio does well, is question "your" view of them. It is done rarely so that its not just out of nowhere, and it adds suspense. I was warmly surprised when they happened, as it was a bit of spice to whole soup. I think they fleshed out the main character well. You get introduced to a timid boy, that comes from a poor family. Through flashbacks and well done "switched personality" scenes, they are able to give him a mysterious edge that really keeps you on your toes. I liked how similar it was to "Classroom of the Elite", specifically Ayanokoji. Hopefully, they don't give him plot hyperarmor.

Overall:

This is a decent anime, that lacked hard after the first couple episodes, but was able to recuperate after the fourth / fifth episode. Personally, I'd like it to finish in one season, as another would break the rhythm and probably add excessive detail and plot holes.

Watch atleast till the end of episode five, and if you are not enticed, then I'd recommend dropping it. I give it a high 7/10.

tldr: Decent idea, horrible beginning but better later on, dark and mysterious mc vibes.

This is a review from someone who has read the manga.

Plot 9/10: Catching a close friend to play a game with someone betraying It's a very interesting plot. But what makes it really interesting. It was to see how their relationship before that was and how it would be destroyed. But this story does not focus on introducing the characters and bringing everyone into the game at all. which from the first 2 games Everyone must have noticed that in fact, they weren't really friendly with each other and were ready to betray each other all the time. And ... to get emotional with the characters is difficult. But that's the purpose of the first two games of this story. This is what the author intended to do. He makes everything seem like nothing and will start to mess up our brains with the 3rd game of the story.

Animation work 6/10: The animation looks bland. The character's facial expressions are pretty bad, but it's not too bad, sometimes good, sometimes bad. Tenji's face in the manga doesn't look that psychotic. He made the characters look too bad.

Characters 8/10: Characters that seem like nothing in the story will start to develop noticeable in game 3. Especially the MC of this story is the selling point of this story. If you notice carefully, you will see that people press favorites for mc. clearly more than other characters It's not that the other characters aren't interesting, but because the mc In this regard, it is crazy and likes to do things that we do not expect. The important thing is that he likes to do things that are fucked without caring about right or wrong. His aim is to win, win, and then win. He's the best mc in this genre I've ever known.

Sounds 9/10: great for this. I don't have much to say in this section.

Enjoyment 9/10: To be honest, when the story has a twist. I wasn't very excited. But what I'm really excited about is when the mc smiles, it's a sign that the devil is coming.

Overall 8/10: It's only been out for 3 episodes now. If the image works more developed I'll give you 9 points later. but if in the future I found that some of the plots didn't follow the manga. I will deduct points.

Who is this anime for?
If you want to use 100% of your brain while having a great time, then this anime is for you. If you want to sit back and watch aesthetic fight scenes this anime is not for you.

Why are the haters wrong?
Many people are shitting on this anime, but it is absolute fire! The majority of the poor reviews said that for a friendship anime Tomodachi Game didn't let the audience invest in the friend group before the game started. Their mistake was assuming this was a friendship anime first and foremost, it's actually an omega big brain anime ... meant to challenge the intelligent. Its curt start is actually a genius move that puts us in the same position as the Admin, and the audience who votes and observes the game. Secondly, this came before Squid Game and it is better. The animation is good when it needs to be, the character designs are not anything unique or special but nothing ever looks so bad or weird that it keeps you from concentrating.

Why is it Good?
Since you come into the game blind, you get to try to play sherlock holmes and figure out who the traitor is, but there are so many plot twists that you find yourself in the palm of the author's hands(Because it is written very well). By the end of the second game, you feel like you have a strong grasp on the situation and you feel like you are experiencing the story through the main character. And when you finally identify the traitor, you are questioning if the only person who you thought was your comrade was actually a demon and if the traitor is the only person you can actually trust.

The Characters:
One of the Female characters really pisses me off, I cannot stand her, but that doesn't make the anime bad it just means that she is well written. The cast besides the Rich guy are all complex characters with some good writing behind them. The Rich guy is not very well explored but he just seems like a pussy. But a certain character starving to death in a cave for half the anime was funny as hell!

Is it perfect?
No, this anime has its faults, but it is a solid 8 or 9/10. Anyone who is giving it anything less than a 7/10 is angry and trying to grief the rating system.

I went in expecting something that would ride the Squid Game hype, but Tomodachi Game definitely takes a different turn, being far less about violence and more about psychology and strategy and the result is one of the most intensely compelling scripts I've seen in an anime. As you'd expect, the series is about a group of people playing children's games for decidedly morbid reasons, it's been done plenty of times, your Saw movies, your Squid Games, etc, but where Tomodachi Game really succeeds is how far it goes into the thought process of making each choice. I'm admittedly the kind of guy who talks ... through my though process when playing board games and if you're that kind of person you'll love watching the main character. The show is basically a crash course on Game Theory and Prisoner's dilemmas, and best of all it plays fair. This is the kind of show where if you rewind and watch again after a particular detail is revealed, they totally set it up beforehand and the planning and payoff is just so much fun and so satisfying to watch unfold.

The show's pacing is a bit of a blessing and a curse. On one hand, taking each of the game scenarios somewhat slowly gives you that juicy decision-making and strategizing that I crave so much and watching the protagonist DESTROY his enemies with FACTS and LOGIC is the appeal of the show, yet each game is so compelling I found myself wanting more of them. I imagine the effort it takes to plot out even a single game's worth of story must have been exhausting, but it does sometimes hurt that there are only three different games across the different episodes because I just love each one so much. The second game might drag a bit too much for some people's taste, the "analysis paralysis" phenomenon board gamers watching the show are probably familiar with certainly takes hold, but every strategy they agonized over was deeply compelling to me.. Really though the best shows leave you wanting more, and I want more of everything Tomodachi Game has to offer. More of the games, more of the logic, more of the mysteries, it's all just so good!

The visuals are fine, though probably the true week link. It doesn't look bad and there's a lot of fun stylization whenever the characters get really intense, but aside from the surprisingly good CGI integration of the mascot character nothing really stuck out as truly great visually, and occasionally the characters looked a bit off model, this really is a script driven work. I watched the dub and the cast did really well and all fit their characters.

I really hope there's a season 2, but even if there is I don't think I can restrain myself, I think I need to hunt down the manga ASAP.

Upon completing the series, I have a really strong urge to read the manga. This anime gets me excited every time there is a new ep, its been a while since an anime have done it. Other series are just okay, not that bad but its plain and somehow boring. Tomodachi game is one of those crazy anime that gets you fired up thinking what is about to happen. It has unique and realistic plot about friendship and money whereas it gives you an idea on how to be strong as well on some dangerous situations.

Will I recommend it? Definitely. Anime is good but ... the manga is way better. That might explain why some people are disappointed on the anime. Nevertheless try it out and I am telling you that the first ep is not what you think it is because it will be revealed soon enough. The author has enough brain power to compete against death note plot.. The first conflict will end right away but the upcoming events are the real deal.

Story: 8.4/10
The plot is something different from the high stakes anime that I have seen and is one of the best originals that I have seen . It starts at very low descending kind of story of some friends in school and Money is collected for the field trip of their grade . Someone steals that money and applies for this TOMODACHI GAME . But as it reaches it's halfway the terror of the main character KATAGIRI YUICHI starts the main plot of the story of the game they will be playing in the upcoming episodes. "I am not spoiling it just in ... case ."

The theme of this story is very wickedly terrifying and due to it's shady nature the art really makes me to Thank the animator . It's art has that fellow kind of texture that is needed to be in a suspense and almost reminds me of death note at some moments though it's story and art in a league of it's own .

Characters: 8.2/10
It's my favourite part about this whole anime that makes me wonder how even the authors are able to think that kind of cruelty and resonance effect in these lifeless 2D people . Author has genuinely put his mind to build the characters and is worth seeing.

Sound : 7.9/10
The OP is perfectly in synchronisation with the kind of anime it is. The background music really gets you into the mood of it's atmosphere f the truths and lies that are engraved into this masterpiece . The background sounds are almost perfect with story it gives me creeps .ED could have been a little better.

Overall: 8.3/10
This is another piece of art that wakes my eagers of the story that will be introduced in the next seasons . The sound , art , characters and story are in better line up than i thought .

Tomodachi game is exactly what we need more of in this medium. Cold, calculating and ruthless protagonists who have no regard for anyone besides their own goals and interests.

Initially billed as “squid game:the anime”, this doesn’t do Tomodachi game any justice at all. It’s miles clear of Squid Game in terms of writing and stakes in my opinion. While the show takes a couple episodes to get going, once it does it’s some of the most fun I’ve had watching anime in a long time. I absolutely abhor generic anime protagonists who just want to save the day, do the right thing, make everyone happy, ... etc. What I most enjoy are MC’s who are methodical and out to please no one but themselves, that’s exactly what Yuichi is and he quickly became a top 5 MC all time for me.

In addition to a badass MC who will let no one get in his way, I also love the social commentary aspect of Tomodachi Game. It’s basically an anime adaptation of the expression “Your friends ain’t really your friends.” I really enjoyed how the various games put the characters under pressure and seeing how they responded. All of them cracked to a certain extent and while it’s bad for the friendship aspect, it’s realistic. A lot of times in anime you’ll have people go through crazy circumstances and just stay solid through it all. In reality, most people are going to crack or switch up under pressure. If it comes down to saving a friend’s life or your own, most people are going to save their own life. It’s selfish, but that’s the true nature of human beings and this show does a great job of exploring that.

Like I said, the first couple of episodes while interesting, were a bit slow. But once this show got going, I was hooked and couldn’t wait until the next Tuesday for another episode. There’s so many twists and turns in this series and just when you think the MC is down and out, he manages to find a way to wiggle himself out and make you feel dumb for even doubting him. What I love most about that is that it’s not just BS plot no jutsu explanations. There is always a foreshadowed and well-written explanation for every twist in this show. It’s up to you as the viewer to actually stay focused and pick up what’s being laid down in advance which keeps you engaged and makes for a great viewing experience.

12 episodes into this and I feel like we haven’t even started to see the real story unfold. Based on what I’ve heard from manga readers, if the studio continues to adapt this well and we get another season or two, this could be a generationally great anime. Let’s keep our fingers crossed for more seasons of this.

Just don't listen to all the people giving this anime 1 or any bad score, because it's bullshit. I don't understand how anyone can make a wall of text and base their opinion on 2 episodes.
I'm caught up to 11th episode and this show is GREAT. The games are really interesting, and the MC is a cold genius, with many aces up his sleeve, similar to Ayanokoujin from classroom of the elite. The story really starts to unravel after 5th episode, and there are many mysteries one after another. overall the story is really interesting and holds your attention.
All in all, I've seen a few ... people actually that have watched this show and gave it a 9 or a 10, so there's also that, so I highly encourage you to give it a try, and please don't drop it after 1 or 2 episodes

TLDR: The story is really interesting, MC is very cool, and don't let the bad reviews made by the bad reviewers who always seek Breaking Bad level of production in everything discourage you from watching this anime.

Many will disagree with me but I really enjoyed it.
I have read many reviews and it seems that many dislike this type of anime or this particular one.
I really enjoyed this anime since Im reading the manga and the manga its just perfect.
So I recommend reading the manga first.
Its still unclear who the real traitor is and you have to find out which of them is it.
If you are interested who the traitor is and cant wait for a 2nd season then go to chapter 71/72/73 there you should see who one of the traitors is. I havent read it yet but till ... now there is atleast one traitor in the group.
This kind of animes are just the best.

It made me very mad that the wrong genre anime watcher got the comments full of hate.

When going into this season I thought that we we're going to have another dry, bland set of seasonal shows to watch but after watching shows like Paripi Koumei and Tomodachi game I have to admit that I was proven wrong. Tomodachi game is something that always makes me ready for the next episode, with each one ending in what seems like a cliff hanger. The only anime that I would use to compare it to is Death Note. Tomodachi game has a lot of deceit and mind games that have really only been found in Death Note.

Story 9/10
I won't go into too much ... detail because it reaches spoiler territory but Tomodachi game is one of those anime that you can't truly figure out until the very end. Of course it's a friendship game that tests the limits of your friendship but it is also something that challenges ethical views and allows us to see our characters' pasts.

Character 9/10
Throughout the anime we continue to see deeper and deeper into the characters' past but also how it correlates to them today. The Tomodachi game uses that pain along with the MC to exploit weaknesses, and ultimately, toy around with others' emotions. Anway, I really enjoyed every character and can't wait until we find out the truth about a certain character.

I really enjoyed every Tuesday when this show came out. The Death Note mind games are something that made me think on how our mc will pull off his plan. I don't have much else to say other than that.

Every Tuesday when I wake up I always checked for the time Tomodachi game comes out. One time I even rewatch an episode to understand what the MC could and would pull off. (Ep 10 for those who are wondering) The only thing that would make me happier is if a second season came out, but its unlikely with how few people have watched it. SO PLS GIVE IT A WATCH.
