This is a curated list of anime related to MMORPG, Dating sims and not just limited to isekai. although is mostly comprised of isekai I have included some others stories that are very related to dating sims that dont have any stereotypical trope of dying or being summoned just a slice of life plain everyday going into school and meeting new people and doing day to day errands.

this list of anime of protagonist that has woke up in a game... MMORPG and some others

this stories that doesnt seems plausible does needs to some mental gymnastics to write about them is a long topic that will play my mind as i have to unravel the logics of the isekai with ai and the simulated parallel world that also will miss the reincarnation thing. so Ive see that these stories are heavily criticized but if we think deeper to craft these types of stories does take a while.

during free time do try to think about them.

this list expand on the first stack of fav isekai picks...
for the selection on this list on anime that shares many commonalities...
most of the selection is the mc joining a fantasy game world setting...
Most on the list the Mc have a game interface...
some are repeated on the first list but is because is to wrap the ones that shares others similar traits ... this list narrow in certain type of vibe in isekai

game stats level grinding

because the concept presented by these types of anime that makes a lot of philosophical question makes it for an try to cover most of the topics but they are really interesting to me of how these digital worlds question are asked.

theres a lot of cosmo vision around this and why is important as you guys know that humanity likes to play god and we humans might be living a simulation.

for now the highlight for the list is

Isekai Meikyuu de Harem wo
Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World

if you like this one check on the others

first part link

the highlight of the first part is inspired on
*--Mushoku Tensei
*--Rising of the shield Hero
*--That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime
*--Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs
*--Konosuba

This stack consolidates watch recommendations for Summer 2023 from several YouTube critics/commentators. URLs are frowned upon in stacks so go to YouTube and search if you want to watch the videos. Or you can watch them at this blog post:
https://animenew.net/blog.php?eid=900154

Mother's Basement (Geoff Thew) 1.32M subs: "Beat the Summer heat (and smoke) with the best new anime of the season!" MB only mentions his top 10 recommendations but includes a "bargain bin" with what amount to runners-up. In this stack, if MB is not in the description, then the show did not make his list. Returning or continuing shows are not included in his review. If you want to see his tier list for all shows, look for the Basement Life video noted below.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7YwoExo6hi4

Glass Reflection (Tristan Gallant) 582K subs: GR provides his first reaction to all the new seasonal anime in terms of whether he will be watching them: "Toss" those he is not interested in; "Hold" pending further judgment; "Keep" the ones to watch. GR watches at least the first episode of each show. Returning or continuing shows are not included in his review.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pZiu3gHb-eA

Garnt 477K subs: "I Watched EVERY Anime in Summer 2023". Garnt's rating system: "Must watch" for shows he will be watching for sure; "three episodes" for shows that catch his eye but don't yet rate a full season commitment; "one episode" for shows he will give a chance; "skip" for those shows he is not planning to watch. Garnt passes judgment based on the show description and trailer. The review video is a 38 minute edit of a five hour (!) livestream. A few of the shows were cut from the edit, presumably because they were rated Skip without much fanfare.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-95z9B2pY4I

Gigguk 3.52M subs: "Summer Anime 2023 in a Nutshell". Garnt and Gigguk are the same person - I don't know the channels well enough to tell the difference. This video is a rundown of shows this season with often snarky commentary, but unlike the others supporting this stack, there is no systematic evaluation. I do enjoy the snark so I'll try to capture some of it.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SfrZW6JVWvA

AH Brandon Reviews 59.4K subs: "What Will Brandon Watch Summer of Anime 2023". Brandon makes YouTube videos for shows that he enjoys watching and that pique the interest of his community. He will drop shows that either don't meet expectations or don't generate interest from his community. Brandon's subscriber count is modest compared to the others here, but his tastes and sensibilities are similar to my own so his review is included here.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nlZW-38sxiI

414Anime 151K subs: "DO NOT MISS These Summer 2023 Anime". 414Anime mostly makes listicle-type videos. Given his subscriber count, I guess people like these lists. His review doesn't include popular returning anime like Jujustu Kaisen. I will simply list 414Anime under the show if they make his list.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mI4rpLf1PPk

Animeology 182K subs: "Top 10 Best New Anime For Summer 2023". Animeology also mostly makes listicle-type videos. This review contains 10 shows in rank order: 1 > 10. For each show, I'll just note the rank order (not too sure how a Summer 2023 top 10 list exists without Bleach).
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p7ZAtaM2HU4

Basement Life (also Geoff Thew) 39.3K subs: "I Ranked EVERY Anime of Summer 2023". This is a side-channel for Mother's Basement. The MB review listed the top 10 in no particular order. This review is a tier list for *all* anime this season. In my opinion, this is a pretty good assessment across the board, but beware, this is a 56 min video. Tiers: Banger > Good > Ok > Mid > Bad > Trash. Thew uses "Trash" to mean a show could be real trash, but also could be "good trash" in that people with specific tastes might enjoy it. A nicely animated harem anime might qualify as "good trash". For each show, I'll simply note the tier level.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=teAfAC7U84s

I will interject in a few cases but for the most part, the focus is on the recommendations from the YouTube commentators.

=-=

Just eyeballing the consensus amongst the critics, these are the shows to watch, in alpha order.

Three returning heavy hitters:
* Bleach
* Jujutsu Kaisen
* Mushoku Tensei

Plus five new shows:
* Dark Gathering
* Reborn as a Vending Machine
* Reign of the Seven Spellblades
* Undead Murder Farce
* Zom 100

=-=-=- Mid-season Update -=-=-=

I'll add to this stack as more mid-season and post-season reviews roll in.

Otaku Spirit 14.4K subs: "Does Japan Love Your Favorite Anime? Summer 2023 Anime Ranking!" Contrasting anime popularity in Japan and the West using popular ranking systems and sites such as MAL and Anilist. I added the mid-season rankings for the top 10 on MAL and Anilist to the appropriate shows. I skipped the long-running and carry-over shows on the MAL "Top Airing" list (why is Eminence in Shadow still on the Top Airing list?). The other lists OS cites are: Anikore (Anilist equivalent), Akiba Souken, NicoNico Video (Japanese YouTube equivalent), and Dimora (weekly TV rankings). I don't read Japanese so I am going strictly and only by what OS says about these sites. He doesn't cover every ranking so if he doesn't talk about it, it is "n/a". A show that doesn't have a ranking was not mentioned at all.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w0eFWSpLRUw&t=201s

ViniiTube 1.06M subs: "Top 10 Best New Anime of Summer 2023". This is a mid-season Top 10 list of the best non-sequel shows. ViniiTube mostly produces listicle-type videos. The anime are described in order from 10 to 1, 1 being best. I've noted the placement in the appropriate description.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IrbFBAfVx1s

Echidnut 241K subs: "Ranking the Best Anime in Summer & Spring 2023 (Tier List)". Tier list using TierMaker. Standard tiers: God > S > A > B > C > D. I only noted tiers for the Summer shows.

=-=-=- Post-season Update -=-=-=

Otaku Spirit 17.1K subs: "Best Anime of the Summer 2023 Season!". Top 10. "... unfortunately this season where we've seen a really big gap between the good and the bad."
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PqJp0ZqHwm0

Clockwork Dandy Noodles 719 subs: "Top 3 Summer Anime 2023! Summer Anime Awards!". More than three awards but I only noted the Top 3.

There are a lot of interest stacks related to isekai. This is yet another one with a hopefully worthwhile twist.

It all started with an amusing comment I saw on Crunchyroll, Sweet Reincarnation, episode 1, by user "FranktheTriviaman".

=-=

“Wow, killed by a falling candy sculpture; that’s new. Usually they get killed by a truck”
. Ryoma- “not me; I sneezed in bed and apparently my head hit the floor too hard so I died of a hemorrhage”
. Naofumi- “same; I opened a book in a library that started glowing and next thing I knew I was in another world”
. Myne- “I was crushed by a huge pile of books during an earthquake”
. Ainz- “All I know is one second the game I was playing shut down and the next I was stuck in the body of my character”
. Touya- “apparently God was throwing lightning bolts and one hit me by mistake”
. Rimiru- “I was walking down the street minding my own business and next thing I knew someone ran up and stabbed me”
. Tanya- “I was pushed in front of a train”
. Azusa- “I worked myself to death”
. Haruto- “I was on a bus that was hit by a train
. Spider- “I think I was in a classroom that exploded”
. Hiraku- I died in a hospital bed
. Kazuma- “And I died of shock when I thought a slow moving tractor was a truck that was about to hit me”
“Wait; so has ANYONE actually been hit by truck and Isekai’d?”
*Adele, Rudeus and Shin raise their hands*
“That’s… fewer than I expected”

=-=

Made me wonder just where the notion of truck-kun came from. As an isekai fan myself, I started trying to track down as many (how did I get here?)-kun as I could. This stack is the result. Apologies to FranktheTriviaman: I know I'm ruining the preceding joke, but I just can't seem to stop myself.

In general, truck-kun's job is not easy. According to an article at Collider, there are two subgenres of isekai:

* isekai tenni - transported to another world; includes summoning and traveling through gateways
* isekai tensei - reincarnated in another world; requires dying in the original world

When summoned or traveling to another world, the MC usually retains his or her body, memories, and name.

When reincarnated, there are several possibilities:

* The MC can be newborn while retaining memories of the original world.
* The MC can be newborn without memories, and recover or wake up to memories of the original world at some point.
* The MC can reincarnate into the body of an existing person in the other world. This raises some thorny ethical questions.
* The MC can reincarnate into the body of a terminally ill or recently deceased person in the other world.
* The MC can simply appear as a version of theirself in the other world.

So for starters, truck-kun is not the instigator in any isekai tenni story since there's no dying involved.

Normally, the original world is "our" reality - the real world. The other world is most often a fantasy world with culture and economy roughly equivalent to Medieval or early Renaissance Europe. The other world almost always has magic and monsters.

One twist on the normal pattern is the reverse isekai, in which the MC originates in the fantasy world and travels to or reincarnates in "our" world. If the original world is a fantasy world, there probably aren't any truck-kun so the poor MC has to make other arrangements.

Another variation involves an original world and other world that are separated by time, not space. Our MC can start in our current world and travel to or reincarnate into our world in the distant future. Similarly, the MC can start in a fantasy world then travel or reincarnate into that same world in that world's future. If the original world is our present world, truck-kun has a chance. If not, the same issue arises: it's sad for truck-kun but they probably don't exist in any fantasy worlds no matter what the time frame.

In addition to the other world differing in space or time, it can also be a world from a fictional setting: a book or a game. Game worlds are often Dungeons and Dragons-style role playing fantasy worlds. Otome game worlds are also possible and are also usually fantasy worlds.

In summary: isekai tenni -> no truck-kun; reverse isekai -> (most likely) no truck-kun; isekai tensei -> truck-kun has a shot.

=-=

For each show in this stack, I tried to capture the MCs original and other world name (sometimes, the MC retains their original world name). I also tried to capture the means by which he or she got from their original world to the other world. In some cases, this information is never spelled out, at least as far as I could discover. For shows with multiple seasons or MAL entries, I've only included the first season. There are mild spoilers since the reincarnation mechanism is revealed.

So far, the tally is:

6 Unknown-kun xxxx xx

1 Book-kun x
1 Confection-kun x
1 Dragon-kun x
1 Embarassment-kun x
1 Fire-kun x
1 Guillotine-kun x
1 Gun-kun x
1 Old-age-kun x
1 Power-failure-kun x
1 Ritual-kun x
1 Stairs-kun x
1 Wall-kun x

2 Illness-kun xx
2 Knife-kun xx
2 Negligent-god-kun xx
2 Plane-kun xx
2 Train-kun xx

3 Spell-kun xxx

4 Car-kun xxxx

6 Karoshi-kun xxxx xx (overwork-related death)
6 Truck-kun xxxx xx

I always welcome feedback, but specifically in this case, corrections and additions.

Animeby SnoopyInOrbit

This is a compilation of the hottest trash anime of Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall 2023, as proclaimed by the Mother's Basement YouTube channel. This is "gaaarbaage" served fresh by "shaaay gaaarbaaage". You'll get the idea if you watch the videos or maybe you can figure it out from the shows stacked here.

"You guys need to understand, trash isn't always a bad thing. I adore trash. The whole reason I do this in the first place is so I can get paid roll around in the stuff." -- Geoff Thew

"When I call an anime trash, I'm not saying it's of inherently poor quality. That would be garbage. Trashiness isn't about quality at all. It's about taste. Or rather the deliberate and often delightful lack thereof. Trash is gaudy. Casually offensive. Nakedly self-indulgent, pun full-frontally intended... But some trash uses its unparalleled creative freedom to break truly new narrative ground." -- Geoff Thew

I try to pull a few amusing or informative quotes and include the trash rating. The rating system is based on trash receptacles and fire. A dumpster fire is probably considered a five or six on a scale of one to ten, but the system is definitely not rigorous or linear.

There isn't a particular order or implied rank in the presentation but I'll try to keep them listed here in the order they appear.
