Hananoi-kun to Koi no Yamai it's an embarrassing anime in many ways, which has had a terrible start so far, and even if this gets better in the future, it won't erase how depressing and weird this anime is at the beginning. If this story continues in what I will say throughout the my review, I would say that this anime could be the WORST romance anime I have ever seen. Even animes with shy and generic characters would be better than this(in romance anime).

This anime tries to hit the same as Skip to Loafer/A Sign of Affection, (both being animes I fucking love), but fails spectacularly.
The animation is uncanny and soul-less, scenes that are supposed to be wholesome just come across as weird. The chemistry is non existent, the characters are boring, their interactions are generic. So far, the only vibes he givin is serial ...

Coming from a manga reader perspective this adaptation truly disappoints. The animation has none of the charm, characters are stiff in almost every interaction, and within the first two episodes I’ve spotted mistakes I just can’t get over.

In the first episode during the snow scene we get a close up of Hananoi and he’s clearly missing his left earring from earlier. Meanwhile as Hotaru releases him the animation is so choppy I can see both his earrings for several seconds. Which may not sound like a lot but things like this in a first episode is wild.

In episode two ...
