For me, the biggest surprise of this season was Ninja Kamui, who unexpectedly (in my opinion) turned out to be an oasis in the middle of the desert in what has been a very dry season. The animations of the series are simply gorgeous. The director of the series is also the director of Jujutsu Kaisen, which explains the quality of the spectacular action scenes in the anime.
