Anime
My dad doesn't like anime, but he has sat down and watched the following anime with me.
He doesn't like fan service, whiney boys/over-reactions, vulgar language, NSFW, or any gross characters like monsters in One-Punch Man or the titans in Attack on Titan.
He likes comedy and action.
For example:
He likes Mash from Mashle because he is strong, funny, and very mellow (never whines or freaks out.)
He likes Dr. Stone because of the science and the mystery behind the green beam/how they are going to bring back civilization.
*For the majority of them I watched them once by myself and then again with my dad. (As a screening process to figure out if it was iffy and whether he would like it or not.)

Likes the plot/concept. Isn’t a big fan of all the gore in the action scenes. (but it’s not gory enough to be labeled as such)
He keeps wishing he didn’t start watching it until all the episodes were out cause he doesn’t like waiting for a whole week to know what happens next.
We have ended up watching both the sub & dub together as they each come out. Sub to know what happens the soonest we can & dub so we can better appreciate the action scenes etc.
Now that the whole season is out & the 2nd one is confirmed, he wants to send a note for them to hustle on getting it done & airing so he can watch it.

He asks if we can watch this one. He likes science and will frequently call it before Senku spells it out. He doesn't like all the swearing and isn't a fan of the whiney boy characters/the ones that overreact a lot. He also wishes the pacing was faster. Yet he keeps saying "Hurry and play the next one!" because he has questions and they need answers.

My dad likes the main character. He isn't necessarily a fan of some character's over-reactions/whiney moments. He likes to quote "I want to go home." and other similar lines from Mash.

He thinks it’s weird, specifically the Kaiju, but coming off of Solo Leveling he is looking forward to watching this because he likes the characters and he likes the comedy & the more lighthearted tone of the show.

My dad finds the dynamic between the two main characters to be funny. Like a rom-com. He did feel like they didn’t really get anywhere at the end of the season & wanted more of it focused on why she is stuck in a time loop.

You have to watch this dub, or it isn't funny. You laugh along with it, but the story wasn't necessarily intriguing, it was just straight comedy and something to quote later on.

He thought the animation looked good. He liked the fantasy element and got into it and asking questions.

He is fine with watching it. The 3D generated anime, or whatever it’s called, doesn’t bother him. He just wishes there were more answers earlier on to keep him engaged in it.
